In all classic series with enough Chaos Emerald Sonic and Knux can transform into Super but Tails can't and in S3&K Sonic and Knuckles can transform into Hyper with enough Super Emerald but Tails with all Super Emeralds can transform into Super Form-

The fact that in the first race with super sonic and super shadow shadow started his chaos emaralds earlier and sonic started right after him and sonic caught up and beat him somehow?
Because if you look very closely hyper shadow hit the bot at the ending (almost at the end) and it gives you more rings but hyper sonic didn’t hit the bot and went hyper sonic and hyper shadow on the pad dash hyper sonic was little bit going back
