Our pleasure!
Beautiful work, well done.
This guy is chill and relaxed with confidence. He can do this with his eyes closed.
Real nice took the time to make sure plum and level for accuracy.. Good job Boy's
You are a true perfectionist. I have had a LOT of building work on different properties over the years but you can see you care about your work. You are a bit far to employ you. TORONTO !!!!!!!! I live in the UK and telling UK builders how to do their job, they just get up and leave they do not care. Go to the next job
Wow! You are a true master!! Thank you
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much, skilful and kind man!
Glad it helped!
very nice work. Thought I recognized that brick. Good to know you're in Toronto - my home town!
Beautiful work brother, greetings from Vegas
Thank you! Cheers!
The Stihl ts420 and the Bosch bulldog are a must-have for every Mason nice work and nice video
Thanks 👍
Great job, now I know how to do mind, thanks Ryan
Glad to help
Great piece of work. Very well done!
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice work. You said on the inside you can screw to the studs, but home like this often have no studs, just 3/4 furring strips nailed to the cinder block for mounting plaster. Not really enough wood to screw into... What is your method in that case? Thanks!
I had the sabe question too
The foam would hold it. But you could drill the block and use a concrete screw.
very helpful vid and love the ethic and smiles!! I always say, we gotta work so might as well smile and have fun while we are doing it. it gets hot and dirty sometimes but coukd be much worse! it's 95 degrees here in Georgia today and I'm about to head to a customer to tear put and install new drywall in bathroom ceiling. glhot dusty attic above. haha. but she also wants to cut in a window in that bathroom with brick exterior. It's just stud with brick facade, very helpful video!
Wow! Amazing thanks for the video
Our pleasure!
Good workmanship 👍👍💯
Thanks 👍
Great video, sir!
Thanks for watching
I'd want this doing on my house x 2 windows. wish u guys could do it.. looks great 👍
Really great video thank you brother !!!
My pleasure!
Very impressive skills, Excellent work.
Thank you very much!
Amazing job brother 👏
Thank you so much 😀
Amazing job!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you 😊
Hey man, great work. One question. Would it not make more sense to caulk the exterior and then do the foam to avoid it coming through to the exterior?
Thanks bro! Awesome work.
Glad you liked it!
Thanks mate😊
What kind of block did you use one the bottom of the window and where did you buy that?
Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Did you ever use the trick on the great stuff to set it quick spray water on it with spray bottle it sets quickly so you can caulk at finish
If the window was much wider, would you have to worry about installing a lintel first? Do the bricks above ever need to be supported when there is an opening?
Yes you always need a lentil
Excellent 😊 work.
Thanks a lot 😊
When i did mine i made the rectangle where it was going inside and drilled from inside out on all 4 corners after it was square etc tobthe building.
Im switching out a current window to a shorter but wider window, i made sure the steel lintel ran across the top, Its a double brick, but im not keen on a window sill, so im wondering if its still all possible to do without adding a window sill?
Outstanding bruh 👏 👌 keep it moving sir
Great work! thank you for showing the skills for opening a new window, much respect.
profession, hard work, great skill.
Thank you very much!
Lovely work mate! Wanna come fix my house in Australia?
Sure, why not lol
White chalk would be a good marker
Good job, however I will put internal lintel the other way, so can’t be visible from the inside. The same way as you put the outside one, unless something is covering it anyway.
thanks, its not visible from the inside, its covered
It is so very hard to find people with your skill set. I hung up on someone who does not know how to handle my call, just looking for skilled person to replace windows on my brick town home.
this is a awesome video thank you much, very helpful!
Where do you find the window metal you installed at the top section.
Very skilled, very professional, and especially looked like you care about the quality of work. Learned lot and will hope to see others inspired by this work ethic!
Glad it helped
Looks good bro.
Appreciate it
Excelente trabajo 👊 👏 👍
Bro how much u charge to cut out a window just as in this video but slightly wider (double the width)
Thank you bro, great content and keep it up 100k subscribers is on the way for sure
appreciated that!
Looks great!
Thanks!
Your the TRUTH! I learned alot from you! ❤
I did something similar but I used supports every step of the way fearing top might come down.
Subscribed 😊
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
So my question is what did you end up doing with the 2x4 on the bottom of the window? Did you cover it up? Did you leave it exposed? Is that how it supposed to look? Please let me know?
No DPC lining behind and under the sill?
I've seen a lot worse, but missing out DPC in the UK climate could lead to significant damp & cold issues in that area, especially if it's a north facing wall.
Nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
No need for flashing?
Perfect as usual
Thank you so much 😀
Eye protection?
Great job, well done.
Thank you very much!
Brilliant just what I needed to see. Why didn't they want the same colour mortar though? And the window I wanted to see more images of when it was finished please. I don't understand the recess on the outside instead of it being flush to the bricks. Some images from inside also would have been brilliant also. More images of the finished window would be brilliant!!! Great to watch you work though, obviously a true professional! Nice one! Vx
The mortar was wet in the video. Likely will dry to be the same color as the rest
Makin it look easy. Nice job.
Thanks 👍
Its great to a true tradesman taking pride in hi job theres not to many who do naw days. Al
Thank you
Nice work!
Thanks!
Extremely helpful. Does this same rule apply when Installing Curtainwall?
Great video.
Glad you enjoyed it
btw, damn your a talented brickie, we dont see quality brickwork like that in australia as everything is covered with render so its usually slapped together, your work is incredibly neat.
very nice
Thanks
Why NO drip edge on the sill? apart from that great job.
Now I can replace my windows. Thank You.
best of luck!
Top Notch work
nice work sir
Thanks
Good job bro
Thank you so much 😀
Great video, thanks! Wondering the main purpose of the expander foam, is it for waterproofing?
thank you
It seals gaps to add weather-proofing
@@1kbconstruction824 cheers for that
I got real scared when the ghost stuck out his hand out of the wall!
What grout/mortar you recommend just for cosmetic purposes? I recently cut a window for an attic exhaust and the outside needs a little straightening/adjusting. Nothing structural, just cosmetic.
Thanks, good video!
amazing video like always!! i thought you would have to put the header on the window. I Saw you put 2 steel beams on top, is that good enough?
Yes you need to put 2 because it's too wall ,in and out
Wait, so did the insulation around the window get concealed or was it just left like that?
When it dries he will cut it back then out caulking in man
@@lukerafa5344 Gotcha, thanks!
Skills 👏👏👏
How is what they installed going to drain water properly to the exterior without having a sloped surface? The perimeter joint around the window should have had foam backer rod and sealant.
Get yourself some ladder jacks. Great for going over fences and way easier to set up than all that scaffolding.
The caulking looks like Blind Melon Chitlin caulked that frame in.
Good job
