    I think Jake's response to Fitz was awesome. I loved the fact Jake said only his friends call him Jake. He told Boy Fitz to call him Capt. Ballard - i loved it. Sophia you must be watching another show. There's nothing whiny or childish about Jake. Fitz is a boy who is cheating on his wife, which makes him really really childish.

      Fitz is just like Olivia - Selfish. He wants her, but doesn't want his wife on paper, whom he 'doesn't care for anymore' to sleep with anyone else. Why would he care?

      If only his friends can call him Jake, he should have been asking Fitz to call him Capt. Ballard starting in Season 2 when he pretended to be Fitz's friend. It's amazing to me how Jake has lied to Fitz and Olivia from the very beginning, did every time in his power to break them up, bedded the woman he knew his friend and Commander-in-Chief was in love with when his friend only asked him to watch and protect her, and now all of a sudden it is Fitz and not him, who hasn't been playing fair.

    The analysis tonight was spot on. Especially on Jake's motivation and behaviors. I have been saying the exact same thing since Season 2 when he kept bad mouthing Fitz to Olivia and made the comment that “Fitz always get what he wants first.” Reason why Afterbuzz is my first review stop. You guys really get the nuance and layers of the characters good or bad. Most other reviews are so superficial

      Tell it! He can't complain, the girls in-love. She tried to tell him, TWICE! It's his own fault for chasing a girl whose heart was already taken. Scott Fowely said that in real life, he'd never chase a girl who has told him to his face that she was in love with someone else. He'd just leave.

      Now Future Ok but lol she loves them both... the reason why everyone loves Fitz and Olivia so much is because it is better than what he has with Mellie.. Fitz is not some ray of sunshine he killed the judge, he screwed Amanda. Bottom line he is cruel all of time to the mother of his children. If there was no Jake or someone for Olivia he is gets what he wants all the time... How is that fair. Just a thought.

    • @CaughtUp

      jevonk Thank you. If I was Fitz, I would be f_cking with Olivia too, because she brought this on herself. Before leaving to stand in the sun with Jake, she was in love with Fitz. Now she doesn't know who she is in love with? Really. During the time she was standing in the sun with Jake, she was calling the WH checking on Fitz, and Jake being this great assassin and spy never once and still doesn't know that? And with all that standing in the sun, and I assume all the sex and love making Jake was throwing her way, every time she kisses Fitz it's like she wants to devour him, as if she has been starving for the last two months. Fitz is going to make Olivia choose, which is what she doesn't want to do. Jake is angry because his boy, the boy scout who sits behind a desk showed him again, that boy scouts can turn into something else when revolted. For some reason Fitz is no longer jealous of Jake, which puts him not only in a position to fu_ck with Olivia, but with Jake as well. Pay back is a bitch. LOL

      REALLY.. As much as we've heard about the stupid fantasy of making Jamin Vermont (which is ironic since olivia can't boil water) at least olivia and Jake actually did stand in the sun together,it actually happened, not a dream but stems from actuality, now the whole ridiculous idea of making jam is hilarious when you think about the person olivia is, she wouldn't last a day in that house in Vermont making jam, we would have a better chance of her walking into Walmart and picking up a bottle,Vermont isn't anything remotely close to who olivia is, this is all Fitz retirement plan that he Sucks a young olivia into believing she wants, Fitz old ass did his part of being president now he has to make a retirement plan, that includes olivia again giving up who she is to fit his needs

    • @CaughtUp
      @CaughtUp 9 лет назад +2

      camille hylton I think Vermont is exactly who Olivia is, which is why she is so afraid of it. And it was Olivia, not Fitz, who came up with Olivia making jam. I'm with you about Olivia and cooking. I see many cooking lessons in her future, or since Fitz is filthy rich, not to mention so is Olivia, that where a cook would come in. As far as Jake and Olivia standing in the sun, they did do that but it also was a fantasy. Olivia left DC to get away from the very thing she now finds herself having to face, Fitz and her father or family. Jake went with her in an attempt to pull her to him and away from Fitz. Although she does love Jake and may be in love with him, Jake was unable to remove Fitz out of the picture, so he is in the same position he was in before they left. Olivia's feelings for Fitz to some degree are even stronger. As Cyrus said, she has been pinning for him. Every day that she and Jake were away, she was calling the WH checking up on Fitz, and every time they kiss, if she could crawl into his skin I think she would. Both teams have been living fantasies.

    THANK YOU, SOFIAAAAA!!!!!! I had to pause this video to throw my hand in the air and sit there for a second, lol! Yes, Jake is about the CONQUEST! Fitz is all wrapped up in love, that's it for him! I have always believed that Jake has maintained a deep grudge against Fitz from the past; he has never liked Fitz. He is phony and extremely manipulative. It's as if Sofia speaks directly from my soul sometimes... I have always sensed this childish mind game aspect about Jake multiple times: when he and Liv were in Liv's house and Fitz called, he had to speak something out loud in order for Fitz to hear him there at night; the booty call phase (which sounded so awful coming from his mouth) was terribly childish, high school games; his eagerness in telling Fitz about the power he had as Command that Fitz could not direct, although Fitz gave him the job; his blurting out how Liv unzipped his pants when she slept with him to get information during the time he and Fitz were at OPA when her mother was on the loose, childish; admittedly lying to Fitz about Liv loving him for his "white hat nature" when he was "sincerely" trying to get Fitz to listen to him about Rowan, childish. Jake has a habit of trying to slip seemingly unconscious things about Liv into conversations or arguments with Fitz, because he knows it will get under Fitz's skin as he hones in on anything about Liv. Because Fitz truly loves Liv so very much, causing Liv to be his ultimate weakness, Jake uses that as a weapon against him AND capitalizes on Fitz's jealousy in helping to manipulate Liv as well. Snake in the grass. Jake has a two track mind: de-powering/killing Rowan, first and foremost, and conquering Liv from Fitz; these are his two missions.

    DEAD @ y'all calling Jake a child when Fitz is the biggest child and whiner of all time. If he would have hit Fitz then Olivia would have been so mad. Jake had every right to get his little comments in when Fitz had the audacity to keep him locked up when he knew he was innocent and did that punk ass move of beating Jake when Jake couldn't hit back. Y'all are being blinded by Olitz's chemistry. Olitz isn't healthy- it's always about what Fitz wants and about sex. I actually think Fitz is the one with the conquest. Olivia isn't playing a game. Olivia will always love Fitz but she does love Jake too (of course it's a different kind of love more peaceful and light opposed to lust-filled). Her and Jake stand in the sun together. That is their thing- it's sacred. With Jake Olivia is lighter and better. She has a choice. Fitz is always invading her space and telling her what she thinks. Jake tells her "it's okay for you not to choose me". Also in regards to Olivia putting 100% into Jake but not Huck- Huck in so little words told her to leave him alone. He wasn't open to hearing Liv's advice on the situation. I really wish y'all had at least one Olake supporter just to keep it more balanced.

      Preach Honeyluv, this panel is biased as hell. Fitz acts like a big child every episode while Jake is usually the one acting adult and selfless and Jake's the child? lol! I also agree the way Fitz is being written this seaso all he cares about is bending Liv over a table and winning the conquest. He looks at, talks to, and treats Liv like a sex toy. Jake and Liv are the ones coming across as pure love, while Olitz just looks like lust and sex. Fitz just comes across as a horny loser that only cares about scoring.

      Their bias this episode was a bunch of bullsh*t for real, especially when it's blunt how immature Fitz is every. single. episode. He was wearing a pull up during the entire "I'm arresting Jake for killing Jerry" fiasco. How he handled all of it, he was always acting like a jealous child. Like I said, he was acting like Jean Brady about it (Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!) when Jake was brought up by anyone: Liv, Abby (even calling her a bitch for it then almost calling Liv a bitch) Cyrus, etc. and he kept reacting off of how Liv was about Jake in his decision making. He kept changing his mind about Jake like he was bipolar. Arresting him, wanting a confession done right, wanting to force a confession by a cowardly beating, Liv can't see Jake, now she can cause Rowan gave me my favorite lollipop, now I want Jake killed cause I watched Liv and Jake's visit, now I will blackmail you about hope so now I won't kill Jake, Jake is on his own in prison, okay now he is being fed, awww Tom told the truth about Jake? Got to let him go hohum. Fitz is the most immature motherf*cker ever, so GMAFB. B.I.A.S.E.D.

      Kenneila doesn't usually defend Fitz, she seems the most neutral. Bamm does too but sometimes (like this one) he goes in on Jake and defends Fitz, it was just way too biased this aftershow and for them to act like only Jake was childish (when he usually isn't but during this episode when he actually has a right to say some stuff after Fitz refused to listen to him, beat him while he was cuffed, sent him to Rowan to be murdered, then was going to let him rot in prison KNOWING he didn't kill Jerry for the satisfaction of getting him out of the way cause he's jealous?) and Fitz wasn't when he is ALWAYS childish and throwing toddler temper tantrums when he doesn't get what he wants? Really? Wow, just wow but whatever but thank god many don't share their Fitz bias and realize how childish Fitz is along with the way he is always cornering Liv and trying to force himself on her. Fitz is one of the most childish characters I've ever watched on a tv show, how can you NOT see it? lol.

      Why do u Jake fans all keep saying that Fitz knew Jake was innocent all along?? Show me one clip in the actual programme that shows that Fitz defo ONLY hit Jake because of Liv. He believed Jake killed Jerry until Olivia gave him Toms taped confession. Does that make him gullible yes, & maybe stupid but Rowan is sposed to be this master manipulator. It's all Rowans fault when u guys are talking about what Jake has done but when he manipulates Fitz it apparently didn't happen!!
      I like the discussing the show & it's obvi Olitzers & Olakers will never agree who's best for Liv but surely there can be discussion of what actually is happening on screen, instead of blind loyalty to one man or another by twisting or denying what's happening with either Fitz or Jake.
      Opinions & interpretation of the show are fun but they have to be based on what we've been shown in the show

    The goal is bringing down Fitz so he can step into the Presidency. Andrew is no different from Sally's. It seem that Fitz does have a reason to latch onto Olivia as everyone around him always seem to hitch their wagon to him for the wrong reasons and cloak themselves in friendship. Fitz knows this it is why he was so devastated in Season 2 epi 13 when Olivia betrayed him with Defiance.

  • @nowfuture9330

    Sofia is onto something with Liv's idea of "family" and someone such as Huck being her real family. Kennelia took the idea even further by saying that the word does not possess the same standard of meaning that it would have when a normal family uses it. They are both right where Liv is concerned, and just need to combine their perceptions to come to the truth: Liv's family are the people that she saves, people to whom she feels a responsibility towards in caring for, those she brings within her realm of safety in a mother bear kind of way. Huck, Quinn, Abby, and Harrison were her family, all people she saved and took care of in a way. Jake has repeatedly asked Liv to save him, repeatedly; the word even popped up in his thoughts when he was being beaten by Fitz. That word "save", to "rescue" someone is a very powerful experience for Liv; she gravitates to rescuing, puts her own life on the line for it sometimes. She is the white hat wearer, in her soul. Liv HATES to fail those she feels a duty to in rescuing; she feels obligated towards them, a duty and passion not to fail them, to hang on with all of her might... like a mother bear. Jake unconsciously and unofficially falls directly within that very category, right along with Huck whom she rescued from her big bad father who will kill them. It's why she considers Jake family. The only unique thing about Jake is that Liv is looking for escape/shelter herself within their relationship from the call of Fitz's heart to her heart, because he is still married, she is brokenhearted, and she fears that any possibility for a chance with her golden boy Fitz is not a reality.

      Unfortunately, Olivia has Daddy issues so loyalty to her is Cyrus, Fitz, Jake but not Daddy Pope....then she had the audacity to try to counsel Huck on how he should behave with his son....delicious! Olivia girl give me that white coat cuz you should have been wearing the tweed one from The Limited last night!

    • @nowfuture9330
      @nowfuture9330 9 лет назад +1

      mzsuzuki Yeah, she does have father issues, as well as mother, very true. I'm not providing my judgment here about whether or not Liv is right in her idea of and who she considers her family to be, I just feel this is her perspective, know what I mean. I don't believe she looks at Cyrus or Fitz as family: she is in love with Fitz, yes, but she maintains the perspective that he already has a "family" since he is married. She would never make the mistake of considering her and Fitz family at this time since that is the major problem with her and Fitz coming together, he already has a family. Cyrus, she doesn't even know whether to consider him a friend or not, might possibly be an enemy in her mind; he's definitely not in the family zone. She considers her OPA crew, her gladiators to be her family; those that she has saved and took under her wing, so to speak. Jake fits into that category.

    Andrew and Lizzie are not having an affair. I don't even think they had sex. That was a distraction to let that security guy to attack Huck. That guy (can't remember his name right now) clearly knew he was being watched. This was all a trap to kill Huck and/or Quinn. You know Mr. Security, eating doughnuts in front of the window, clearly knew the score - he was too good.

    People can't complain about Jake taking that beating, he asked for it, he's been asking for it. Jake admitted himself that he taunted Fitz by telling Fitz Liv loved him; he's always mind game playing Fitz to get his jealousy aroused. I wish Fitz would learn to control his jealous rage, because people can always harm him or use him through his weakness for Liv. I don't agree with the beating and wished Fitz exercised self-control with that, but Jake is always running his mouth. He hates Rowan and Fitz, always has. If he'd have kept his big mouth shut with Rowan and went straight to Fitz or Liv with all that he knew of the murders, he wouldn't be in the position he is in now. But no, he wanted to be a big mouth big shot with Rowan, his superior, so. I initially felt bad for Jake when he was picked up by the Secret Service, but after seeing how he acted with Fitz in manipulating him, and looking back over most of his scenes in past episodes, his true colors began to materialize, sharply! Snake.

    I really don't understand why people are blaming Fitz for the disaster of a plan to catch Rowan; that was not his plan at all. Fitz and Jake had the exact same plan with the difference being that Jake wanted his own crew to carry out the same plan to storm B613 headquarters. Jake's crew and Black Ops equate in skill and ability, but I think Jake's crew would have had the upper hand due to their knowing the layout of B613 headquarters. It would have failed either way, of course, but it's always best to act on more information. That failed plan was Liv's plan, though. Also, some were saying that Jake was sitting back kind of like, "I told you so," but that was far from true as well; Jake was actually the first one to react with an, "Oh my god" statement, after which he was utterly shocked! He couldn't believe what he was seeing.

    This was a damn good episode! That damn Papa Pope is no joke. I knew the moment that Liv called him with those fake tears about her men fighting, that he was onto her. That man is no fool! He had his guys already perched outside waiting to take the "kill shot" on those who were ready to "take him down," which proves he already knew what was up! The moment he started messing around with that fork (and noticed how distant she was) was his way of giving a signal to his guy(s) outside to go "in for the kill." The only person that can truly handle him is Mama Pope and she's about to make an appearance back onto the scene. I could care less about this lil triangle that is overly-done at this point. This episode was all about the ONE and ONLY Papa Pope and how he outsmarted all of them.

      I do believe that Maya Pope is a true weakness to Rowan, so I can definitely see her having a hand in his downfall, if Shonda allows that to happen at all. Who knows, Rowan may decide to give himself up to them for a price. I just can't see anyone being able to take him since they can't outsmart him or out battle him. If he is taken down, it's going to be in an odd way, I think, or somehow he may allow himself to be taken for something in return. I don't know, something along those lines. It won't be an, "I beat you," or a "I won" kind of thing.

    • @CaughtUp

      No offense to Eli, but Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder could have seen that when Olivia called him it was a trap, a terrible, stupid, dumb, ridiculous trap. If Jake is in SuperMax and Fitz believes Jake killed his son, when, how and why would Jake and Fitz be arguing over Olivia. Fitz supposedly only let Olivia see Jake once, so unless that phone call to Eli was immediately after Olivia's initial meeting with Jake, again how, when and why would Jake and Fitz be arguing over Olivia, and how would Olivia know about it? Lastly, if you listened to Eli conversation with Olivia prior to her fake call to him, he more or less gave her the idea of the fake phone call. Tom was knifed and the only one who knew the truth. Eli is intelligent enough to keep an eye on everyone but him? Again, as plots goes, daytime soap operas have come up with better traps than what the writers came up with last night. If Eli did not escape, his "I'm heaven and hell" card should have been evoked.

    I was split on my this episode. I agree, I thouroughly disliked the back and forth about Fitz and Jake just because there were more important things going. I disagree with you Sofia about Jake being family. He is like the rest of her gladiators. She saved him and don't forget he's saved her life. They are friends and even more, she will go to lengths for him like you would family. It's obvious she doesn't have that connection with her father or mother so she adopts family members. Besides, a few episdoes back she told Fitz she knows him as well as she him. So I'd say she is correct to call him family.
    Cyrus is going to do something to Michael or Lizzie Bear. I'm telling you, Lizzie Bear has a daughter and Cyrus doesn't take being crossed likely. He may have had Olivia clean up the mess but he's going to be out for blood which is why I think the writers left this story kinda unconcluded in a way where Olivia just didn't handle it.
    I was actually happy Mellie got with Andrew but I think Andrew is still angry over being thrown out by the Grant administration. Sophia you are right. Andrew has his own motivations. I think they are going to try to otherthrow the adminstration and get Grant displaced. They've already tried to kill him so it makes since to not try to get him impeached. Hell, Mellie may switch sides to Andrew's point of view and Olivia will become first lady lol jk
    The whole Javi/Huck situation I think the hosts are finding too much flaw in Olivia's approach to Huch. Olivia knows what Huck wants and for her to show up to her workplace and some kids is there, I would certainly ask " does his mama know?" When in the hotel when Olivia tried to speak to Huck all caring like, he made it clear this was not something he was really going to talk about it. And I think we are making Olvia too responsible for these adults. Broken or not, Huck is a man and he can makes choices that aren't the best and deal with them though I do like that he threw shade and even Olivia acknowledged that with his little smile. BTW, I don't think it's childlike to not invent a story for Javi because Huck doesn't want to lie.

    Jake is sooo worried about Fitz. Jake is like this is my gf. Fitz was just chillin and watching like cool. Then he said something about that dreaded sun and Fitz was still chillin. If liv is his gf, why is he worried about Fitz. Then 2nd bunker scene, Liv talks to Jake alone. Again, Fitz is not worried. He waits on her outside. So Liv and Jake have a moment but she comes in the hall and kisses Fitz. Let me say CHOOSES to kiss Fitz. And not just kiss. Devoured his mouth. So Liv has a bf, right? Rightttttt K.

    Amen, Sophia! Jake is messing with her. And this is not the first manipulation. He has said in previous episodes/seasons that Fitz is a golden boy who has everything--and that is 100% tied to his attraction to Olivia. He didn't perk up, when watching her on hidden cameras, until he saw she was Fitz' mistress. And that is the basis of why I don't like Jake. Further, everyone knows you sweat the guy who's beating your time; Jake sweats Fitz at every turn.

    Yes Bamm and Sofia, Jake was so childish and I hate how he is constantly making Olivia out to be his conquest rather than his love. Any self respecting man who loves a woman would not be talking about what he did to her the night before - that's private and personal and not to be used as a weapon against the woman he loves.
    Yes Emile, Fitz has all the swagger and confidence as a man so he lures Liv in with that voice. And the reason he can is because he truly loves Liv. She is the love of his life. Jake manipulates Liv, I agree Sofia hands down. Jake treats Olivia like a conquest rather than as someone he loves and he knows how to push her buttons so she can feel sorry for him. Feel like she is fixing him and again being validated which keeps her coming back to him. Any one that becomes a victim is like honey to a bear for Liv. Jake knows that and uses it every single time.
    Sofia, I don't think Olivia is selfish. I think she is selfless! She was sent to a boarding school at a very traumatic time in her life after her mother died and was never really shown love from that day forth. Her only means of validation right now is to fix someone else's life because she does not know how to fix her own.

    • @catherineduffy2648
      @catherineduffy2648 9 лет назад +2

      Valerie Williams
      Fitz did tell Liv's father that but he was speaking to Command; not to her father. He also also told Liv before he did that he loved her no matter what happens once he does what he has to do to take Command down. Jake has never given her that courtesy. Fitz also did not say what he said in front of Liv. Jake spews out his insults about Liv with her present as if she is an object. She is a trophy to be won from Fitz not the love of his life. A conquest so there is no comparison between Fitz and Jake in my opinion. But it is so good to see how passionate we are about Scandal. Shonda Rhimes and her team of writers and the actors are all doing superb jobs to be evoking such fierce debate by us gladiators and this is what it is all about.

    Jake is too insecure for me. Last year he told Fitz how Liv came over to sleep with him and this season Jake spills about how he was screwing her on the island. Something mentally wrong with him. I totally agree with Sofia, Fitz was laid back with Jakes pettiness. He knows the effect he has on Liv & he proved it to her & himself later. Jake always wants to get one up on Fitz but Fitz just wants Olivia. & theyre not friends & probably never were really cos Jake was too quick to try & steal his girl for them ever to be real friends, seems like they were close in some ways but were rivals.
    I disagree with alot of fans that Fitz defo knew that Jake was innocent of killing Jerry & he only hit him because of Liv, it hasnt been written like that, so where Jakes hands were tied, hes an assassin that Fitz thought had murdered his son, does that make him gullable, yes & a bit stupid but strong emotions will do that to a person.I Dont think Jake was at all clever in the opening scene, he was just really petty & annoying

    For some reason I didn't find this episode as satisfying as last week's, which doesn't mean it wasn't good, it just wasn't as good. They should have named the episode, "How many people does it take to screw in a light bulb?" Both Olivia's and Jake's plans were so stupid that a five year old was saying, WTF? Jake showed his hand in a lot of ways, first and foremost, he showed just how powerless he really was by the things that he said, his demeanor, and most importantly, at the end of the day he couldn't just walk out of that bunker. I love the way Fitz's is toying with Olivia. Whatever jealousy he may have had of Jake is either completely gone or significantly diminished by Jake's reaction to him. Don't call me Jake? I kept picturing being in kindergarten or elementary school during recess when he said that. Poor Mellie. As Nola lady mentioned, Mellie can't get a break. Who knew Andrew had a dark side. Poor Huck. Cyrus has found love again, so Michael will probably not be on the show long. Seeing Cyrus happy is like see grandma in a bikini and a Tea Partyer at a Muslin mosque without a gun or trying to blow it up. LOL

    This was a pretty good review (aside from the Fitz orgasm, lol), but no talk of the Fitz "we good?" handshake? No talk of Papa Pope at the end? The speech, the deaths, her being on her own for real for the first time in her life? What does that mean for her? And with Kubiake dead, who was following her and for what? The only question is what are Lizzy Bear's and Andrew's involvement?
    And I thought dude was dead on the floor in Cyrus' place when he was talking to Olivia on the phone.

    I had zero confidence in them arresting Rowan after hearing their plan. The only way to bring a monster to justice is with a swift death. I didn't cheer for Rowan and didn't gasp when the play went south. I rolled my eyes and called Liv a dumbass.
    Why would Olivia want Huck fixed? Recall back in S2 when Huck went into the catatonia, he came out of it declaring he had a family. Olivia tried to convince him that he did not. Many suggested she was just trying to keep him sane. But I scoffed at it. Olivia's reaction to Javi is that she is fully aware that she could have 'fixed' that broken relationship. Her reaction "does his mother know...blah blah blah...what would the law think" was not just judgmental but as if she has no place for Javi in Huck's life. She fixes things. Why not fix this? Sure it is wrong for Javi to be there. Huck knows that. Stop treating Huck like a pet whose chain you get to pull at your will then 'correct' him when he stays off the reservation too long.
    OPA is an island of broken toys (confirmed by Abby) that Liv assembled and then she left them. When she left them, they fixed themselves. Olivia doesn't need OPA fixing their issues because they may divest from OPA. She needs Huck broken for her benefit.
    I don't trust Andrew. He's more than just the VEEP. He has an undercurrent assembled. Mellie didn't end things with him. He ended them with her. He chose the position over her. He has ambition. His tie to Lizzie is to feed that ambition.

    • @creating1_c1999
      @creating1_c1999 9 лет назад

      IMHO she did try to convince him in her Olivia-way by placating him. She knew he had a family. If she didn't know, she didn't bother to see. She left him hanging onto her words "if you think you do you do". That's what people tell people when they don't have the gumption to give them a straight answer. The real answer should have been "if you have a family, we will find them". She never steered him towards reuniting with his family. The only person who did that for him was Quinn.

    The Rowan's take down was Olivia's hair brained idea because just like she thinks she can manipulate Fitz and Jake, she also thought she could manipulate Rowan. She made told Rowan last episode she had weapons he could never possess when it came to Fitz and Jake, and now she's telling Fitz and Jake, she is her daddy's shiny object. Liv is getting played by all three men. They've all used her for spoils and political game, and she doesn't even know it. Poor Liv!

      Interesting that you thought Fitz was begging Live to kiss him. It looked to me that he was teasing her in a major way. He knows the sexual power he has over her and that she wants him. We've seen over and over how she succumbs to him. She can't seem to help herself -- and Fitz knows this. That's why he smiled at the end of that kiss. He's got her.

    • @CaughtUp
      @CaughtUp 9 лет назад +3

      ReneeDeborah Agreed. One thing I believe is certain, Fitz isn't jealous of Jake anymore, which makes him dangerous to Olivia and Jake. Fitz knows Olivia and when she turned away from him when he tried to kiss her, and instead of getting upset by the refusal, found it interesting let me know Olivia needs to buckle up. You may not like Fitz, but Fitz has never waivered from his love for Olivia, he has never pretended to stop loving Olivia, and he is going to force Olivia to choose, which based on how she kisses him, she will probably choose Jake. It pisses her off to know Fitz knows her so well. Jake may momentarily have Olivia body, but Fitz now has her attention, which is all he wanted since she returned.

    Sophia am not throwing shades at you but I have to be honest on your reviews of Jake. You seem byias, you come up with the same conclusion no matter what, I find it ironic to say the lease that judging on your assessment you wouldn't find Fitz behavior towards olivia intensely manipulative,when ever olivia makes a decision Fitz either gets into her space and try to get sexual, are the biggest manipulation of them all the whole Vermont nonsense..Fitz dangled Vermont in front of her when she made a decision to walk away, he made his secret service men practically abducted her took her to Vermont and manipulate her into thinking adapting the idea of moving to Vermont, liv had no idea of Such plans until it was all done and sold to her without her even thinking about what really is this plan really about.. Its Fitz retirement plan, that olivia somehow think was made with her best interest at heart. Fitz made this plan to suit all his needs, which he didn't think through.. Fitz has to plan where to retire to after leaving the white house and he made those plans to suit himself, olivia this young woman will move to Vermont in this house (that's if mellie decides to let Fitz keep it after the divorce) to make Jam, have his babies.. The problem with this plan is that, that's the only option Fitz has, olivia is being manipulated by Fitz for years now that she doesn't see the difference, its like season 1 with the whole amanda tanner scandal, lying to her fully knowing he did in fact slept with her, but he pushed up against her to manipulate her to fixing it for him when he was indeed guilty of it..he banged that young girl just like he's doing olivia in the oval office.. I watch the review ever week but I just had to give my honest opinion, because after watching scandal it's clear Fitz is the one manipulating olivia,just think about it every time olivia makes are say something Fitz don't agree with he gets sexual to get her to agree to it..its like mama pope told her daughter your the help, you clean these people up.

      Nobody likes Jake on that panel and no words are going to change that but after tonight I kinda agree twith them. All that ish wasn't necessary; lets figure out the issue then we gone scarp later. End of story. Jake that slammed the door in Olivia's face is who I would liked to see tonight; not straight up insecure Jake. But then again, just thought of this, his irritation could be not knowing where he stands with Olvia since he hasn't had a real moment alone with her and he's not stupid; a deal was made so what does that mean for him? Anywho, you did bring up something Ive been wanting to speak on and it's these subtle references both of Olivia's parents make to race. It's like they just don't have a problem with her fixes these people's messes as thinking she belongs with them based on race. Rowan has even went into rants where he's just about this close from calling Fitz a racist term it seems and I'm wondering if they're very going to really go into that or if it's just a mindset idea. Because Olivia does clean up their messes per se, but every conquer is a favor on her book. As far as Fitz and whether he loves Olivia can be summed up two episodes ago ( sidenote; Fitz can piss me off too!) when Fitz opeted not to kill the man that killed his CHILD on the small promise of hope. You ever have something you want so bad and will do so much to obtain that you start to resent it. That's Fitz when he's having his tantrums.

      The panel has given Jake his due support. Does Fitz have an advantage? Yes. That is representative of the writing, the directing, and the acting. A bias is when a person cannot see any element of positivity from the opposition.

    I loved this episode. I watched that beginning episode again and Fitz was agitated when Liv was in Jake's face saying "We are the good guys, this is us, this is what We do", stuff. Fitz had to turn his face away. Fitz also made a face when Jake said I'm talking to my girlfriend & Liv didn't deny it. I thought they were both being childish, but Jake had a right to basically "get his balls back". Despite the Liv thing, he also was pissed that his Boy didn't believe him and then whooped his ass when he couldn't defend himself and all because he was jealous. I think that Olivia was telling Jake that she loves him when she said not to mention standing in the sun about another man. That was her response to his, "I told Fitz that you loved me, but I was just messing w/his head" line. I'm pissed about the whole Huck situation, but not because he is hanging w/Javi. Javi is the one who tracked Huck down at his office, so he would track him down whenever he wanted to. I'm mad that Olivia hasn't handled the situation. Huck's wife thinks that Huck is lying about why he left and that is why she didn't want him around Javi and called a therapist. Liv could go to her and tell her the truth (toned down, but still), yet she is so wrapped up in Jake/Fitz/Papa Pope situation that she hasn't. Yay, so glad Mellie got her some! I think that Andrew does love her, but since Olivia/Fitz basically said VP or Mellie and no life or political career, that he chose VP w/the thought that he is going to take down Fitz and Liv & that is why he is involved w/Lizzy Bear. Now that Mellie wants him, he will pursue her, but won't stop the plans that are already in motion. I wonder if he is going to tell her of his plans.

      I'm an Olitz shipper all the way and I hate saying this , but I think in Olivia's eyes she really wants both men or at least she THINKS she wants both men. She does not want to hurt either one of them however, Jake's weakness is being exposed. I am definitely calling it now that his insecurities will eliminate him from the game. His insecurities make an attractive guy look unattractive. It's the same when Fitz does and says things that are reprehensible, he looses a bit of his charm.

    You all are also saying Fitz feels so secure about his relationship. Does he? Yes in the first seen Fitz is all laid back and chill. This is because in his mind, NO MATTER WHAT Olivia will always pick him. Fitz also doesn't see Jake as a threat. That whole idea goes away when Olivia pulls away from the kiss with him in the hallway. That was the first time Fitz has ever had another man LITERALLY come in between him and Olivia. If you notice, the next time Fitz and Jake are together, that laid back arrogance about him is gone. Yes he is arguing with Jake about business; however, he at one point says, "Maybe instead of trying to get yourself laid for once, you'll do your job." That sounds a little childish and competitive to me. Fitz now realizes Jake is a force to be reckoned with and that cool laid back attitude is gone.

  • @bsbgirl85
    @bsbgirl85 9 лет назад +3

    Sans Kennelia, y'all are so biased for Fitz. How y'all can think Jake is childish and Fitz isn't? Really? Fitz literally acts like a five year old trapped in a grown man's body EVERY SINGLE EPISODE. He just did it with how he handled the Jerry situation, he punished Jake simply cause he was jealous of him and his relationship with Liv. He was going to kill Jake cause of it and only let him Liv cause Liv "gave him hope," then was going to let him rot in prison. How many times was Fitz pissy and whiny over Liv having the audicity to get to the bottom of Jake's framing and wanting to know what happened (and Fitz wasn't telling her anything) Also, usually when Jake talks to Fitz he gets down to buisness and is professional but after Fitz knew he had nothing to do with Jerry's death but ignored Jake so he could cowardly beat him up while handcuffed, try to get him murdered, then rot in prison cause he is jealous of him? Yeah, how dare Jake be pissed and take some pot shots at Fitz for beating him, wanting him killed, and left to rot in prison for something he didn't do while Jake kept telling him over and over Rowan did it. The nerve! Fitz has done the same many times, like when he said how great she tastes to her father so please. Just like I knew, Fitz had no anger at all about how to take Rowan down (or Tom) but when it comes to Liv's boyfriend oh he goes after him hardcore. Fitz is the one shown to be a big child every week and just showed it over and over when he arrested Jake for Jerry's murder and how he acted like Jean Brady over Liv asking about Jake and worry about him. Fitz only cared about getting Jake out of the way so he can continue his horny quest to get in Liv's panties. Also, Fitz will always be jealous of Jake. He has been since he realized they were sleeping together and always making little comments. Fitz hasn't shown confidence at all, he was just whining about how he failed as a man cause Liv left with Jake. That is what drove him so hard to go after Jake when Tom lied about Jake ordering him to kill Jerry. Fitz has always brought up Jake way more than the other way around. Jake has always oozed confidence and it's one of the things that keeps Liv coming back to him and her attraction to him. Fitz doesn't have swag when he has to BEG Liv to kiss him along with badgering her, she acted like she didn't want to kiss him but as usual he corners her and bullies her. Fitz was quiet at first in the bunker cause he has been sitting in Rowan's lap letting him spoon feed him baby food the past three episodes while Jake kept telling him Rowan did it. A duuuuuh, what can Fitz's dumb ass say? He only went after Jake cause he was jealous, nothing more. Fitz could care less about Jerry's death. So how y'all couldn't see how childish Fitz is on a regular basis, that's amazing and insanely biased.
    I've noticed this season that Fitz comes across as someone that only cares about getting in his blow up doll Liv's panties no matter what (he's been using the Jerry situation to get closer to her, copping feels, and sex talk) So Fitz is the one that looks like he wants to win the conquest of Liv and plant his flag on her, he can't see past her vagina. The Jake and Liv scenes come across more as pure, selfless love, not just straight up horniness like the Olitz scenes. Fitz only cares about nailing Liv and it's nasty and pathetic to see. I think it's crazy to say Jake is manipulating Liv when he has been 100% and completely honest with Liv since they slept together. Fitz is the one that either goes behind Liv's back, won't tell her anything, or lies to her face. He went behind her back to leak her name and still hasn't told her, the wimp never will. I loved Jake and Liv's scene when she told him not to talk about her, the sun, and another man. That is only for them and sacred, that was another scene showing how pure their love is and how far their relationship has come. I loved that scene. I also agree with others Jake is Liv's family. He has always been there for her, listened to her, had her back, sacrificed everything for her more than once, almost died for her twice, has stepped aside if that makes her happy (and Liv doesn't want him to) etc. I think it's why Quinn said a few episodes ago that she has Jake cause when Huck tortured her and kicked her out of OPA she had no where else to go and Jake let her in to B613 while she was Command, and also kept her out of harms way for a while to make Liv happy. Your biased against Jake clouds your judgement and ignoring the effect he has had on Liv's life and a few others. Jake is clearly one of the most important people in Liv's life now whether some like it or not. He's very important to her and she's clearly in love with him.
    As for the other stuff. Well, Huck has been blocking Liv out for most of the season (just like he was doing to Quinn) and he basically told her to f*ck off when she asked about Javi. Huck has been written as an idiot for a while IE taking his son to a freaking stakeout with a suspected killer. I'm also wonder if the mother realizes her son is always missing during the day and night (???) I'm sick of Rowan always outsmarting everyone, untouchable villians where they always win really gets old and annoying after a while. I knew Rowan knew cause Liv made it obvious calling him crying. Just like last season she should of listened to Jake, he was in B613 and knows Rowan. He is always right and he WAS RIGHT AGAIN when he told Fitz his plan wouldn't work and It didn't! It was foolish. Like he said WHEN it doesn't work he will get people killed. Like Jake said, Rowan needs to be killed, it's the only way IMO. I was suprised Andrew was working with Liz, guess he wants to be president. Hey go for it, Fitz has always been a lousy president and this season all he cares about is banging Liv and is ignoring his family once again. I liked the Andrew and Mellie scene, first time I found them hot. Just like Liv, Mellie can do so much better than Fitz. When he finds out their on again Fitz will become the big jealous married baby again that another one of his toys is being played with.

But this is the perfect man for a superstar like Olivia? Sofia is so wit it and slow when it comes to men otherwise she would see beyond the smooth lies that is Fitz and no genuine caring when it comes to Jake. Probably why she still single. The plot holes are ridiculous. In early S3 the writers sold the story that B613 does not take orders from the President they were a separate entity. Cyrus was afraid of them that he told Fitz he could end up assassinated if he pursued B613. At the end of the mid season of S3 Fitz capture Rowan and chained him up in the basement of the Pentagon and took his job away and gave it to Jake. How is this possible when they don't take orders from Fitz? Now we are in S4 and they have to come up with a plan to catch Rowen? Why can't Fitz just take his job away again? It's that simple but the writers forgot they wrote this that's how bad they are no doubt. They need new writers because this is ridiculous. They are serving up bullshit for sure.

    Alright, Jake being called out for this episode was a little over the top and I'll explain why. For Jake, he knows that Fitz is possibly the love of Olivia's life. So yes he understand that Fitz has a hold over Olivia's heart, that he probably won't ever really have. So I don't see Jake actions towards 'The President' who really shouldn't have really been President for two terms... as childish, if anyone got beat up with their hands behind their back from anyone, they have a right to be a bit salty. Especially when that person just ironically turns out to be Fitz of all people. Wasn't it childish for Fitz to keep punching Jake when the hands behind the back? cause let's be honest, he wasn't beating him apart because his son died, it was because of his relationship with Olivia.
    Also I feel that you all are underestimating how close Jake and Olivia had got when they were riding in the sunset. I think even though Olivia is still drawn to Fitz, her relationship with Jake has grown in a unexpected place, even if some viewers doesn't understand it. I don't think Olivia just thinks of Jake as just a booty call or something like that. lol It feels like more each episode, she's falling deeper for him.
    The whole Olivia/Rowan relationship I agree with the host about. I knew that Rowan wasn't going to get captured at the end of the episode, it was just to simple, and it won't be easy for Rowan to get captured, he's always one foot ahead of all of them. I think in Rowan's own way he loves Olivia, but I can't forget that he's the one to killed Harrison. Just a no/no.
    Man I want Mama Pope to return.
    The whole Andrew and Mellie relationship... it's tough if you are a fan but let's be honest, it seems like everybody is some cheaters on the show. Fitz a married man, continually eye sexing Olivia. Mellie a scorned woman who's got betrayed by her husband far too many times and Andrew is the person who was there for her and she's sleeping with him. Andrew sleeping with Mellie, now in this relationship with Liz. Olivia with Fitz, although he was married. It's just a whole cycle of Scandalous relationships.
    I have nothing to add about Huck, the all four host was point on 100%.
    I love Javi. Too bad what he seen his investigator" Father kill someone.... can't wait to see more of that storyline.

I realize a lot of Scandal fans are rushing over to Jake and Olivia, I refuse to utter their joint name, Jake is a snake believe me something is not and has never sat right with me. Jake wants to be command and Jake wants power he thrives on power. The reason those documents were blank is because Jake knows he'll be command again. I am team Olitz. Olivia was hella naive this episode she keeps on forgetting how powerful Rowan is. I luv Huck hes been through alot, and Hauvi will probably like the fact his dad is a killer I see him asking alot of questions and being intrigued. Cyrus is a monster and I think that side of him is itching to come out. I like Mellie with Andrew hope 8 she does divorce Fitz, so he can be free to make desicions and follow through without consequences.

    My 2 options: 1. Rowan has insane access in some way or another in being able to hear what's going on in supposedly secure places, allowing him to hear all that Liv, Jake, and Fitz were saying and planning while in Super Max (I think it is called). Papa/Command knows all. 2. Fitz might possibly be the mole to Rowan, FOR HIS OWN REASONS. I've had this deep unsettling feeling about Fitz for a while now, not bad, but it just feels like he's been up to something, planning something. All is not how it seems with Fitz, I think, could be wrong. One thing that struck me about Fitz was when Liv played Tom's confession tape for him and the first thing he asked Liv was, "why did Tom confess, why now?" It just seemed an odd 1st question after you find out that Rowan was truly behind the murders, the real killer of his son. One thing I understand is that both Fitz and Jake have a one track mind; Fitz is to have and love Olivia, and Jake is to destroy/kill Rowan. They will do most anything towards these ends. I really do feel that Fitz would like to take care of both Jake and Rowan since they are his greatest opposition to Liv; as long as they are both around, He and Liv will never have peace. I'm not saying he'd kill them, but he wants them both permanently out of their hair. He may be secretly making his moves to finally clear away all barriers to him and Liv, one by one. Finally taking control of his destiny. Who really knows what Shonda will do, though; she can get you with that right hook!

  • @blackgirlcouchreviews
    @blackgirlcouchreviews 9 лет назад +2

    Oh and I forgot about Rev Ike. I know what you're saying Sophoa, that Rowan loves Olivia but Olivia wants her father punished because he did bad things; he killed her
    " family" Harrison, she thinks he killed her mother, her killed a child out of jealous spite...she wants him to pay for his crimes. It's like knowing your daddy is a serial killer; if you side with the law to bring him down you aren't choosing them pver you're family, you are making them accountable for their actions. Everyone has moral limitations on this show and for all Olivia and her team braks and shapes the law; she shys at murder. He murdered a man in her own office.
    On another note; is Rowan now God? I believe he could escape a situation like his arrest but to murder military men who should have some allegiance too and just walk out? C'mon! Smartest thing Jake said was kill him. That's the only way it's going to end. Rowan thinks he is the all and the mighty because obviously there's no opponet to him that is a threat. I find that a little too hard to believe. And I wonder what Mama Pope will bring to the table?
    They are making Olivia sloppy because she is feeling that way inside. So when the momentum comes for her to really, truly know what she is made of, it will resonate more with the audience. More and more this season I am wondering what's HER end game? And they have been hinting that there just may be one. Now THAT is interesting.

Like Jake are not he told them that plan would never work on rowan but did they listen NO because the POPSICLE PRESIDENT HAD A BETTER ONE, Olivia should have known that idiotic plan wouldn't work on rowan if she wasn't too caught up in her drama of juggling two men

I don't think she gets stupd around Fitz; she gets distracted because that part of you that makes you better is unattainable and that's frustrating and when you're a girl and a man lights your loins on fire, yes you get a little...stupid but not IQ wise. Plan was dumb because they are treating Rowan like he's some terrorist instead of somone even more powerful than the president. You take him out. camille hylton Look, Joke has been wanting to get from under Rowan's control since Maya came into the picture. For some reason Fitz is in this triangle with him and Rowan but he definitely wants Rowan dead. I don't think Joke can move on until Rowan is dead and whatever happened it has something to do with Remington, its so much more to that than what we know. Don't you realize that Rowan could have killed Joke at any time, really? And he can still have him killed. But he hasn't, why do you think that is? He can have every person on that swat team killed but he can't kill Joke? Joke has an ego problem. He seems to me to have a chip on his shoulder. I believe he is jealous of Fitz and Rowan for whatever reason, I don't know. That is how it appears to me. He thinks he's better than Fitz and smarter than Rowan. Rowan told him he is arrogant and that is what messes him up. He's like Mellie he thinks he's better than both of them. Joke is delusional and so far up his own butt he can't see pass himself.

    You guys spend sooo much of your segments comparing Jake to Fitz. There is no need for the comparisons to go around the table repeatedly every segment. Suggestion: Please give it a single round, allow brief rebuttal, and then move on.

      Me either which is why I stopped watching. It's bias. Hopefully you don't get a million people trying to argue in the comments cause the olitz fans are ridiculous.
      Fitz was more mad at Jake for leaving with Olivia than supposedly killing his son.Now that he knows the truth, Where's his rage for Rowan? Fitz disgusts me.

      Valerie Williams This why I don't comment. I didn't even watch the review after seeing the comment and I didn't comment on anything about the episode nor who I liked or disliked with the exception of fitz.
      Any person who is more mad about someone killing their mistress than at another person who killed their child is disgusting. Now that he knows it is Rowan, he is not nearly as angry. Why? Cause he was more upset about Jake and Olivia being together than when he thought Jake killed his child. That's disgusting.

      I thought Jake told Olivia she wasn’t his girlfriend? Is she only his girlfriend when Fitz is around?
      Also after Jake lying to and betraying Fitz at every turn, NOW they’re not friends?
      so they were friends
      when Jake came on the scene and double crossed Fitz at Papa Pope’s orders
      when Jake kept lying to Fitz while pursuing Olivia

    I really liked the episode, it set the table for some really crazy sh*t to go down. At the moment I am firmly on Team Olivia. Fitz has a lot of his own issues to deal with and I wont got there right now but Jake really irritated me today!
    Jake, when has running you mouth, letting your ego talk, when has that ever gotten you anywhere. YOU WERE THROWN IN JAIL AND LEFT TO ROT JUST TWO EPISODES AGO. Didn't you listen to Rowan. True power hides in Plain Sight. If you were really want to stab at Fitz, Be quiet, stop with this petty, whiny business and start scheming. But, the fact remains, I am over Jake, he needs to go.
    About the Command Takedown Mission- I, for one knew that Olivia/Fitz/Jake would not go down. At the beginning of Season 3, I knew that it had to be between Olivia and Rowan (maybe even Maya). Olivia, up until this point has been using people around her (OPA, Huck, Jake, Fitz,etc) in an ATTEMPT to take own her father and it has ALWAYS failed. The truth is...this power play/chess game can ONLY be resolved within the family. Only Olivia can do the job.
    As much as Olivia has been denying it...Her father created her in HIS image. Olivia is potentially his greatest enemy (it doesn't help that she is also like Mama Pope- the only other person the ever out-smart Command).
    We saw a bit of it in the last two episodes, but this is Scandal, everyone takes one step forward and five steps back). i think we will see her come into her own- (maybe not as quickly as we like.. but i think it will happen)

    Is it everyones understanding at this point that Papa Pope is going off the show? He basically said his "good-byes" to Olivia when he told her she is now going to be alone.
    Also - I thought in the past that Andrew really cared about Mellie but now it seems twisted and complicated by Lizzie Bear. I completely agree with Sophia that when Olivia was crying to her father about the "boys fighting over her" that this was not an Olivia reponse that her father would be familiar with. Also - what is a mid-season finale? Does that mean there are no more new episodes until next September??

    In this episode of the podcast it seemed that everyone was calling Jake childish and competitive. Neither of these things were true. First off, Jake has continually stepped down from his love for Olivia to be with Fitz. He is well aware that when it come down to it, Fitz will always be Olivia's first choice. No matter how hard he tries he knows he will most likely continue to play second fiddle in Olivia's life. However, the fact that he continues to be there when she needs him and whenever she calls, shows his affection for her and that in his heart he does believe there's hope. (Because Jake does not seem like a man who is okay with coming second place to anyone.) Jake then goes off to the island with Olivia where he thinks he may actually have a chance with her. They then end up back in D.C. and he watches Olivia fall back into Fitz arms. He again knows he can't stop that from happening and falls back. He then goes to Fitz in order to give him information. (Goes to a man who he most likely is not fond of because of the Olivia situation. However, he puts that aside in order to give the president information.) Fitz then has Jake arrested for a crime he has not committed. He then comes into the place Jake is being contained and brutally beats him. (Possibly to get a confession, but more likely because of his involvement with Olivia) He not only beats him, but beats him when Jakes hands are bound and he cannot fight back. (Fitz most likely knew that Jake would have killed him easily since Jake is an ex B613 agent.) Fitz then sends Jake to Supermax where he will most likely stay for the rest of his life. Then AFTER ALL THAT, Jake walks into a room where his girlfriend and her lover are, and the man who has just put him through all hell and high water has the audacity to look at him and basically say, "Hey Jake your innocent but now I need you to help us." No apology, no remorse, nothing. In all actuality, Jake was just DONE. He was done putting up with Fitz. He was done giving Olivia up without a fight. He was done coming in second. He was just done. Yes it may have seemed childish but in all honestly Jake just decided he was done with Fitzgerald Grant completely, and let him know that 1) We are not now and will never be friends and 2) Jake was going to fight for the women he loved.

    • @kaylas2030
      @kaylas2030 9 лет назад

      You said it yourself that it was childish but I felt like Jake's comments in that moment were not necessary they needed to have been taking care of business and he trying to talk smack to Fitz. I know Jake wants to get back at fitz but he needed to pick a better time.

      Valerie Williams Well I can understand both Jake and Fitz being jealous of each other. I mean you would be jealous if you loved a man who loved you and some else. At the end of the day its liv that's causing this love triangle. Its her fault why I dislike Jake, Fitz, and Olivia.

    I just watched the AfterBuzz. I know you thought I already watched it. Nope. Any whoo, last night I looked at the clips regarding Michael, because I also thought Cyrus had killed him and that was his body in the bed; however, they were pillows. Unless the Olivia/Michael encounter was a flashback to something that occurred before Michael went to Cyrus' home, Michael should still be alive. Sophia's argument why the plan to nail Eli did not work went a little over my head. Remove the tears and you will see that Eli fed Olivia the scenario to the plan. Also, Jake is in SuperMax and Fitz believes Jake killed his son; how, when and why would Jake and Fitz be arguing about Olivia? How would Olivia know they were arguing? Tom was knifed. Eli is smart enough to keep an eye on everyone but the man who knows the truth? Olivia and Huck's relationship is just where it should be. Huck is not letting Olivia throw the morality book away when it suits her, and find it again when she has no personal stake in the matter. Yes, the outcome was disastrous, but we all knew that was coming. Right? Okay, maybe not to such a degree . Okay, Andrew does need a new suit, because I thought the same thing. To Mellie all I can say is good luck. I want her to find some happy before she leaves the WH. I think Andrew and/or Lizzie had something to do with the car bomb. That kiss was an affirmation that Olivia is back, to him. Of course, she is going to be kicking and screaming all the way, while at the same time yearning and starving for what is hers. Fitz and Olivia have been through some things. Jake thinks this is about him and Olivia wishes it were about him. It is not. It is about Olivia and Fitz/Fitz and Olivia. Make me proud Fitz. I love bad Fitz, especially, when he is bad because he is being, “I am in love and it is time I go reclaim my woman.” Eli, Eli. Eli. You played your daughter well. Fitz, do it on your own. Of course, Olivia is not going to let you, because she only has one parent left. Olivia knows her real boyfriend. Fitz has not talked about Eli killing his son. He loves Olivia and because of her, he will play it by the book. Once he learns that Maya is alive that should be interesting. Fitz is Eli’s equal. I know naysayers, Fitz is not good enough. He's married! Could you imagine what this man would be like not married? OMG. Mellie when you die you should go after Big Jerry, because he took away a wonderful prize. Thank God, he always gives us more than one. LOL

Everything Jake said was 100% warranted. If Rowan has always protected Liv and Jake was assigned to protect her by Rowan - what is Jake going to do now that Rowan is on the loose and will he still protect Liv OR will Jake go back to B613? Rowan said he was leaving - where's he going and does Jake still have a place at B613 as Command? Will Fitz place him there again?

  • @Vcm9926

    Just great episode. But there have been a number of great episodes this season. Hmmm, Jake belongs to Liv and that's why he's family. They only have each other. They saved each other. They stood in the sun together - alone and the rest of the world was shut out. Yes - there is Fitz but let's not forget that Liv is Fitz's side piece. Yes, she is his true love but she is a side piece. I do love Fitz's confidence in the Olitz relationship. I'm conflicted about what Liv did to her daddy. He's twisted but he has made her path clear and stayed in the shadows. Lizzie and Andrew are scary - what is going on there? What is their end game? Poor Mellie - looks like nothing good can come out of Andrew and Mellie. Maybe Fitz will be F it this time and let Mellie and Andrew be together. Agree - Huck is a wild animal and not a parent. You kind of have to want to be fixed for Liv to fix you and Huck is kind of resistant. We'll see how he and Javi move forward - or don't.

      Nola lady I am very conflicted about Liv setting up Rowan. True - he has given her the best and protected her. But in some ways I feel like it's Scarface's relationship with his sister - no man was ever good enough or anything for that matter. And on her mother - uh uh. That woman is a serious sociopath. She can't even fake loving her daughter. Liv would be better off without that woman. That is #99Problems and that bitch is one - once she discovers that her mother is still alive.

    Has it occurred to anyone that Poppa Pope intended for Olivia to be a "white hat" - that his world was being the head of an organization that does evil, her mother was evil and he wanted something opposite of him so he guided Olivia to be exactly what she is? And Olivia only cried three times? Seems like every time she deals with Fitz she's crying. I'm tired of that.

      Hell no! I think he admires her idals. He told her so on that park bench last season. He likes that she does what she does but he thinks she's naive and shielded of which he has intended for her. But now, she is going to be open to the threats I would suspect ANYONE of Olivia Pope's nature is sure to be facing. I'm more ineterested how much the nature of her parents are more inside of her than she realizes. He's raised her to get what she wants; and given her room to do that but she's not had to face the consequences. This is going to explode into what she is made of and what she's learned from not only her dad (I.E. I handled him like Command" and soon her mother. I love that it's more openly acknowledged by more than just Bam that Olivia is selfish and even spoiled. When wants to fall on the right ide of good but doesn't mind that grey and maybe coming to terms with the black....OLIVIA FOR COMMAND! Lol
