When Caitlyn goes. So does the ratings and money 💰. And ticket sales. Those are some huge shoes to fill. I’m a LSU fan. And I couldn’t think of a better person to break pistol Pete’s record. Caitlyn is phenomenal
Maravich's total of 3,667, amassed in just 83 games over three seasons at LSU (1967-70). Her total so far is 3,685 in 130 games. 47 more games?!!!!
All I'm gonna say is your right, however the rebuttle is 40 shots a game, averaging 44.5 in 83 games vs 19.7 shots per game with over 30 per in college, much more efficient. The record for both male and female is unreal, but her efficiency and ability to assist is unreal
She was able to surpass what nobody has been able to in over 55 years, even despite thyears, that there has been a 3 pointer added and several really great scorers in the game. That's what people are celebrating. He set such a high mark that nobody was touching it since the 70s, and since the 70s, she is the one that broke it. That's a huge deal. If anybody could have done it, they would have done it 50 years ago.
Maravich was given the plays from his coach (DAD) to have over a thousand more shots in three years than Caitlin had in four years. Yes, even if Maravich had a three point shot, per shots taken by each, Caitlin would still have beaten him. She deserves the recognition, period!

Imagine how many points Caitlin would have had if she shot the ball over 40 times per game vs the 21.4 per game she shot. Total shots taken by Maravich is over a thousand shots more than Caitlin. That cannot be left out of the conversation.

Don’t bring race into it-let her accomplishments speak for herself. Who gives what race you are. Honestly?
