Thanks for showcasing my Choco Island 2 remake! A lot of people weren’t happy with the lack of chocolate in the track, so i’ll be updating it shortly to make it a bit more faithful.
I really liked it personally! You should keep the island aspects that you made, and like you said add in other chocolate elements. You have something cool man!
I think just making the grass a shade of brown is good enough, the trees would add a nice contrast. And as someone else said, add chocolate bars in the ground. Remember, this is supposed to take place on the Mario world island
I do like the concept, though, since it’s not too much like the SNES version (with it simply being a 3D version, with 2D textures remaining in the background like in Tour), but it definitely could use some chocolate. But other than that, everything looks great!!!
Honeyhive Galaxy is spectacular, best of the month for me. With a functional minimap and better CPU routing, it could be up there for top track of the year. Also having a lot of fun on Snowpoint Valley, and also Bram’s several MK8 ports. And of course, ZPL and Squire on top form as always.
The beta was released in 2021 and the creator has already been working on it for 4 years so I don't know if it counts as a 2022 track. It's a very good track though.
What a fantastic month for custom tracks! That Honeyhive Galaxy port was impressive, probably the best way I've seen a 3D Mario level translated to Mario Kart. Really gives me motivation to get back to my mkwii projects!
Thanks for showcasing Sunset Airport - hopefully I can polish up the track and release it in the near future alongside some other tracks I've been working on. It was a fun track to make and I'm proud of how far I managed to push the visuals - I can only imagine my visuals will get better from here!
TheGamingBram definitely deserves some credit. He's been releasing ports ~every 2 days! Also gotta love the authors taking more creative freedoms when recreating retros!
Kind of a miss opportunity on the honey hive track could have used a bee Mario costume mod for it. Would have fit it perfectly. If there's one available though
Bowser castle, Choco Island and Atlantis look great. I like the layers around the tracks on the second one. Sunset Airport is cute but feels very bland. You also seem tiny compared to the benches and counters and there's no airplane to see. Honeyhive and Snowpoint look phenomenal. Really well done. Cargo Bay is a cool concept and feels very open to race across.
God I freaking love Honeyhive galaxy. I've honestly gotten bored of custom tracks as most people only seem to put effort into making a track look good nowadays. Back in the day all CTs were kind of jank, but that was the reason why they were so fun to race on (in case you're wondering, yes I'm one of those people who picks Mushroom Peaks in online). This track is both beautiful and has some pretty janky parts that require the player to actively think about how they approach a certain section. Certainly the best custom track I've seen in a while!
Honeyhive Galaxy looks visually really good, but from my perspective it is not intuitive at all Edit: The DS Shroom Ridge looks better than the one in MK8 Deluxe
@@alabamii I disagree. Most tracks in the DLC use the exact same textures over and over again, just recolored, which is incredibly lazy. Many textures and objects are also poorly done. For example many fences on Coconut Mall aren't sized properly so that there's just random gaps in the fence ropes. Many signes are weirdly cut off. While some visual effects might be appealing, if you look a bit closer into the visuals, they look really bad. Nintendo put the lowest possible effort into the DLC.
I'd choose these over the DLC crap in MK8DX. At least I don't have to pay a ton of money just for Mario Kart tracks. Would be happy for DLC in Super Mario Maker 2, but that will probably never happen 😭
Comparing GBA Sky Garden & DS Shroom Ridge as custom tracks here to their 8 Deluxe counterparts, I have to say that while Wii was better on Sky Garden, 8 Deluxe definitely did Shroom Ridge better. Although I do have to give the Shroom Ridge custom track creator some credit - he or she did a great job recreating the original DS track and giving it that Mario Kart Wii feel. As for DK Summit... the track is already in the game. I can see that the custom track in question is the Tour version (well the Normal variant at least), but why would you make a custom track out of something already in the game? Final thoughts: Nintendo, get off your lazy butt, fix your terrible business decisions, and hire these people to make an official Mario Kart game!
You can install custom tracks via Dolphin Emulator (Which you need an iso), or the easier way is to just get CTGP on your Wii/WiiU and put these custom tracks in the MyStuff Folder. You can go see TWD98's tutorial on getting CTGP. o;

Still a nice track the water looks like golden chocolate
I don’t mind, but maybe making the grass brown and adding chocolate bars coming out of it would be cool

The levels track creators are reaching nowadays is impressive! Also your videos are always fun to watch!

Honeyhive is something else! I was blown away when I first saw it.
It make me so happy you like it ^^

I love your visuals that you have in your tracks! Can't wait to see what you come up in the future!
I loved that track, very nice concept!
It's nice to see GBA Yoshi Desert finally getting some love!
I think Cargo Bay might be my favorite. It probably isn't the most visually appealing but it looks really fun to drive on.
Thank you! I put extra effort into making loads of strats and shortcuts, and I think it paid off
@@rifoxu Easily my favorite that came from the jam. So many shortcuts, paths, it's also my favorite track that you made by far!

@@LandonEmma Definitely ^^
He pretty much remade almost every track in Mario Kart 8 in like 2 months. Insane!
The Dk Summit one looks fantastic. I'm quite the fan of night themed remakes
SNES Mario Circuit 2 is literally unrecognizable, and that's definitely a good thing! These custom tracks are perhaps some of the best yet!
17:00 - LOL! I didn't expect that.
MORE Mario kart Wii Custom tracks?! At this point, the Mario Kart Wii Community has lasted as long as the TF2 community.
I love how you sometimes use music from the old SpongeBob the movie game for PS2. One of my favourite games in history 😍
Kind of a miss opportunity on the honey hive track could have used a bee Mario costume mod for it. Would have fit it perfectly. If there's one available though
Some great tracks this month! And I think that including the song names in the video is a nice change.
i like the idea behind honeyhive galaxy but i feel like it could get confusing sometimes. also there are quite a few blind corners
Bowser castle, Choco Island and Atlantis look great. I like the layers around the tracks on the second one.

thanks for showcasing lanayru mining facility! it was also great to see the custom characters and all the other amazing tracks!
No problem! Love the visuals and the idea. Great to see you in the MKW community!

I was waiting for you to attemt double at DK Summit! GBA YOSHI DESERT looks perfect!!!
These are always a joy to watch. also thanks for including my track!
Thank you for the kind words, and no problem!
No Cheese in an earlier video, and now Bubble Blowing Baby Hunt!? You are speaking my language!
Hey, one of my favorite games growing up! I gotta give it some love
Honeyhive Galaxy looks visually really good, but from my perspective it is not intuitive at all
Edit: The DS Shroom Ridge looks better than the one in MK8 Deluxe
Another month, another compilation of custom tracks that look amazing! I'm so glad I ever discovered custom tracks as a concept in mario kart.
I love the unique takes on the SNES and GBA tracks recently!
I am in shambles at the missed opportunity that is not calling the Honeyhive Galaxy track Honeyhive Drive
I think Honeyhive Drive is already a custom track
nah honeyhive drive is a cringe name ngl
@@slimeserverMKW says the one who made a track with that name
Well it's a direct port so it only makes sense to call it by its true name
Soup er idole
DK Summit remake in Wii is such a mindtrip but it’s awesome
In regard to custom courses based on zelda dungeons I'd love to see a stone tower course made on Mario kart 8 with antigrav.
Let's see the amazing tracks, maby some might be in my CT pack
DUDE Honeyhive looks so good! It's so bright and colorful I want to race on it
Visually looks great, but I do not like what the creator did the SNES Mario Circuit 2. Personally, I don’t understand why it was in the desert
really love honeyhive galaxy!
A Mario Kart Wii track in Mario Kart Wii CTGP. That’s a first for me
woah! Cats4Life's GBA BC1 is incredible. And I am blown away by that DK Summit.
Both are amazing tracks! I couldn't believe it when Squire made DK Summit lmao (and made it super good)
@@MarioPower55 isn't it a tourport summit?
thanks alot

The retros in this need to be in the DLC
That Lanayru Mining Facility course was amazing
that snes bowser castle 3 looks like a whole new track
All of these tracks look better than the MK8DX DLC
That's kinda sad
only one I would say most of these look better than is toad circuit

On the animal crossing tracks it would have been cool if you transitioned from lap 2 or 3, like if it continued
los custom tracks mejoran cada día que pasa. Espero que los hacker añadan nuevas mecánicas para el Mario kart wii
The honeyhive galaxy one is stunning
Honeyhive Galaxy looks SO FREAKING COOL!!
My favourite monthly video
Ohhh Mario kart tour GBA Sky garden
If someone wanted to encapsulate the growth and evolution of the human race, they could just look at this game.
These Tracks are Incredible ! 👌🔥
The Honeyhive track looks phenomenal
That honeyhive galaxy could really benefit from some arrow signs
It's a shame none of the Wii U or Tour custom tracks are getting added to CTGP-R. Copyright is copyright, I guess.
the MKWii engine is extremely beautiful though 💯

Also I want this version of Rosalina's Ice World in Ctgp
5:40 Wii U? More like MK8 Tracks
DLC on wii u
Realgam tower theme from Colosseum 😍😍😍
+1 follow
On Atlantis bay, They should add an effect where you go inside one of the buildings
I might add that in an update
Can you do Mario kart super curcit tracks recreated in different Mario kart games
Plenty of Mario Kart Tour tracks are not remade. Instead people are remaking tracks *in* Mario Kart Wii.
It's really hard to get your hands on some of the models, and remaking the tracks is a pain, so not as many people are releasing them.
What i have to do for download and play this tracks? Are playable with friends and CPU too like canon tracks? It's awesome
I assume that Snowpoint Valley is Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum based?

Having trouble finding the download for Sunset Airport. Is the track public?
Not currently, though I plan to release it in the future with some gameplay updates, since it is currently lacking gameplay features.
