I just got my first set of foils from YN March sale and because I watched this video before using them, they turned out perfect. There's nothing like the satisfaction of something new you're trying working perfectly because someone shared their knowledge with you first. Love you guys ❤️
Hi I just started with foil transfer & I used a cheap adhesive, it worked but I would still like to purchase your product. Do you sell it on Amazon? My name is Cheryl. I’m 69. Please help me out, thank you
You’ve helped sooooo much! I was about to cry! I’m still a beginner nail tech & I have these foils that wouldn’t even come off for me, but it’s working now! Thank u! ❤️❤️
Yea I was getting frustrated like what am i doing wrong 😕 so I was told wrong thanks for this vid it help glad i didn't throw the foil away and I got a lot 😅
Good morning, this was a great video because I kept trying the foil and wondering why it's not working. I kept trying to cure the nail foil polish then put the foil on. Now I see that I don't have to do that. Thanks Greg.
Thank you for this! My first go-round was a mess lol. I think the timing is the key - I saw another YN “instructor” say to cure it instead of waiting 45seconds.
Glad this video popped up in my feed. I received foil in my mystery box and have not had success with full coverage. Going to keep trying. Thanks YN, you guys are awesome!
Good Morning 🍎 teacher... Nice Nice Getting Creative thanks to u my nails last longer without lifting & my coffin shape has been on point THANKS.....😍😍😍😍☝
I've always gotten perfect foil transfers with the YN Transfer Foil base. I have a question though. Would it be possible to put the nail in the lamp to let it dry? I just really want to keep "Sally" from wanting to touch it while also using the timer on the lamp.
What if u want to use matte top coat? Or sugar effect? I need to see more videos using designs with foils. My foils just washed off...I got ones that u put under the light then apply foils
We recommend using the Transfer Foil Adhesive to apply your foils, however, if you let the YN Polish set until it is just barely tacky but not smudge-able, some foils will adhere to it.
Hey Greg, long shot I know but do you have a discount code for YN Australia? The currency difference is brutal here but I will stay loyal regardless. Thank you for keeping my passion alive and all your tips and tricks. Tracey and Habib too ❤
Unfortunately other locations are just distributors of our products and we don’t control them. You would need to check with them on if they have any promo codes or sales.
Can you use 4-in1 gel base (then cure) instead of foil gel? If so, do you have to wipe it after curing or should it remain tacky prior to placing/rubbing foil?
It depends on the top coat you are using. With the YN Ultimate Finish, it has a slight "dispersion" layer when it comes out of the light but this will dissipate after about 30 seconds to a minute. If you apply directly over that dispersion layer before it dissipates, you won't have any issues. You can also do just a partial cure of 30 on your first coat and it will continue to cure and bond to your second coat.
@@youngnailsinc I didn't realize the ultimate finish top coat was hard gel. I assumed because its in a bottle, its soft gel. I was actually referring to the Gloss Top Coat from the Synergy Gel line. Can I use that as my top coat, and it still work/bond?
The Foil Adhesive is an air dry adhesive that will leave a sticky surface for the foil to adhere to. It is not a gel polish and does not need to be cured in a light, but it is also not like a traditional polish base coat either. It is specifically designed for transfer foil. (edited)
Loving your demos your detail n problem solving great...please say what's the best way to remove gel n foils on natural nails..thankyou boss!..debbi vasileiou
I dont know if I actually didnt bought foils (but it dissolve with acetone...) every method of transfer has failed for me...absolutely nothing gets on the nail
Unfortunately, we can't speak on other brands as we do not test them. Our transfer foil base is an air dry product and you don't have to put any acetone on the foil first. If you do try something like that, we have used our swipe product, but not pure acetone. Acetone melts plastic.
unfortunately the animal foils sold out during the last sale and are now discontinued. you can still get some of the floral ones while we have some available 😊 www.youngnails.com/products/floral-transfer-foils
We can’t speak on how other brands work as we don’t test them. Waiting for our transfer foil base to air dry is for our product only. You would need to follow the instructions of the company whose product you have.
Are you using our transfer foil base? Sometimes the drying time depends on the temperature. 45 seconds is a general time. If it's colder where you are working then you may need to wait longer, if it's warmer than less wait time.
@@melissaxo7907 unfortunately the animal prints were a quick in and out so once they sold out that was it. We just have the floral prints still available with are so pretty!

Perfect timing! I just attempted the foils I got from Black Friday. Needed these tips! Thank you
Nice 😍 Have an amazing and blessed day everyone ❤️😍
Thank you for this! My first go-round was a mess lol. I think the timing is the key - I saw another YN “instructor” say to cure it instead of waiting 45seconds.
That was my issue! I cured mine and they did not transfer😂 i liked that you can see he doesn't use a lap- just dry time. Much easier instructions!

Watching from SA, just started my nail business and i love how you explain everything.
Great topic. A lot of us struggle with this. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us. Love you all. Have a great weekend everybody.

can it be applied only with the gel? or with nail polish?

@@youngnailsinc Thank you for responding!
Thank you just got mine ready to roll. One question, i dont know if i missed it but what was the top coat you used?
we like using our ultimate finish gel for top coat❤️
www.youngnails.com/products/1-3-oz-ultimate-finish-gel
Hi i apply my foil accordingly but when i put my top coat on the foil smudges very wierd am i suspose to cure or dry foil first🤷♀️
Are you using YN foils & adhesive? And what top coat are you using?
Hi what you r using before foil I mean it's jell pain or thinner based nail paint
It's our transfer foil base.
Can u used acrylic powder with the foil paper?
We are attaching the foil to an acrylic nail here.
if we add a second top coat after using a no wipe top coat which makes the surface smooth, won’t the second layer peel off?
It depends on the top coat you are using. With the YN Ultimate Finish, it has a slight "dispersion" layer when it comes out of the light but this will dissipate after about 30 seconds to a minute. I am struggling with the transfer base so this video is on time I thought about trying a different base
Can you use hard gel top coat over foils?
I prefer my gel top coat to be hard gel, so nothing can take it off.
Will it bond to the foils?
😊
Yes, we use our ultimate finish top coat with our foils.
@@youngnailsinc I didn't realize the ultimate finish top coat was hard gel. I assumed because its in a bottle, its soft gel.

@@youngnailsinc Excellent, thanks for answering
@@youngnailsinc Sorry, one more question, is the foil glue available on Amazon??
Is the foil transfer a different kind of polish or is it gel polish base coat? I haven't done them yet just got my foils in.

What if you don't have transfer glue?.is their anything else u can use to replace the glue in order yo get the foil to transfer onto the nail?
Check out this video around 36:23, this may help a little bit but having the transfer foil will work better: ruclips.net/video/0V6K0Yr5Bho/видео.html
How do you stick the nail to the mannequin hend
With our trainer hands, the practice nails click in to an opening that holds it in. The nail he is working on was sculpted out from there.
When are you bringing these back? I ordered on the 31st but then received an email that they were out of stock 😩. Can you restock please!!! Lol ❤

Is this video specifically for your brand or all brands?
Our videos are only using our products. We can't speak on other products as we do not test them.
I was told I had to cure the foil for 30 seconds is that true? Which means I’ve been doing it wrong no wonder it’s not working out for me.
Our transfer foil does not need to be cured. Here is a great video: ruclips.net/video/_cXfY9VEmPs/видео.html
Curious…why is it important to work from one side and not the middle?
Sometimes if you go from the middle out to the sides, it can crease or wrinkle the foil and you may not get a clean application.
60 doesn’t work for the one I have unless I’m doing something wrong :/ I have GA&EN Foil glue
We can’t speak on how other brands work as we don’t test them. Waiting for our transfer foil base to air dry is for our product only. You would need to follow the instructions of the company whose product you have.
Trying to figure out what I did wrong…it’s not working for me
Are you using our transfer foil base?
Mine won't stick to it without been cured 🤔
Are you using our transfer foil base?
Sometimes the drying time depends on the temperature. 45 seconds is a general time. If it's colder where you are working then you may need to wait longer, if it's warmer than less wait time.
So if I’m understanding you don’t have to cure the foil gel just let it sit & air dry ? 🤔
Correct😊
Wow ive been curing 😳 the struggle has been real with foils lol. I cant find this foil gel on the website i only see the top coat gel
@@melissaxo7907 unfortunately the animal prints were a quick in and out so once they sold out that was it. We just have the floral prints still available with are so pretty!
Why not start in the middle opposed to the side?
I do exactly what you said not to do lol
Stays gummy and foil just comes off in chunks can anyone advise?
How long are you letting it air dry for?
@@youngnailsinc about 30 40 seconds
Hope i can master it lol
Why is it important to go edge to edge and not from the middle?
By starting from the edge, this will allow the foil to sit flatter on the nail & transfer more evenly.
The foil transfer gel still wont work for me 😢 the foil will not pull off
Check out this video and let us know if it helps you: ruclips.net/video/_cXfY9VEmPs/видео.html
Do you have it upside down try the other side maybe 😊
