  • Former J1 Teachers Share Life After the J1 Program | Learn About the SPIMS Program of Deped
Hello everyone! J1 Is an exchange program with up to 5 years of maximum stay in the US. Most J1 teachers need to go home to fulfill the two-years home residency requirement. After two years, then they will be allowed to come back and repeat the program or get an H1b Visa.
In this video, I hope to inspire J1 teachers who will be going back to the Philippines that it is okay to go home. There are opportunities waiting for you there. I invited former J1 teachers to share their experiences and life after the program. I hope you will like this video. 😊

Good day po Teacher. Nagturo po ako ng English sa public secondary school sa DepEd SY. 2013-2019(6 years consecutive teaching experience in DepEd) (Permanent item). Then, nag-resigned po ako sa DepEd in 2019 at nagmoved sa Japan. Then, I have been working as Assistant Language Teacher po d2 sa Japan from 2020-present.

Those who have US citizen spouse or child. Not an automatic approval though right now. Before it was but now, you must convinve through letter that it is exceptional hardship if you will go home.

Just try to apply any J1 visa sponsor. You can search it on google. Just make an account to any of those visa sponsors, then go with the flow on it. But its more easier if hou have units in Special Education because US education are All inclusive. Just my advice, but try, who knows.
