      This is glorious, I have been researching "quail for eggs" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Eeyila Rudimentary Expediency - (do a google search ) ? It is a smashing one of a kind product for discovering how to raise healthy and fertile quail minus the hard work. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my friend got amazing success with it.

    I had no idea white feathers were easier to pluck. is that due to the lack of melanin or coloring in the feather shaft? thats so interesting. and here i just liked the color never figured it had a practical function

    • @ClayCB
      @ClayCB 2 года назад +1

      No they don't pluck easier.

    • @lukeryuzaki2328
      @lukeryuzaki2328 2 года назад +2

      @@ClayCB this. They're not easier to pluck. It meant easier to process, as the root of the feather is more passable by the consumer's eye test. With dark color feather, you need to completely pluck out the roots = more labor.

    I'm interested in raising quail as pets. I'm hoping to keep 2 to 3. Can you tell me where to find or purchase Texas A & M Quail?

    • @GKGPoultry
      @GKGPoultry  4 года назад +2

      I typically suggest finding a local breeder, some flea markets have poultry breeders, additionally some online hatcheries have them. Good luck!

    How can u tell male from female in white quail!?

    • @GKGPoultry
      @GKGPoultry  6 лет назад +2

      Hopefully, I will be making a video on it soon, the gist of it is you tenderly press down under their vent(backend) and if a white foam comes out it is a male. The foam is a preservative for reproduction. Hope this helps.
