We need a car elevator that automatically parks them into capsules on another floor, and can be called down using a button control panel. Like so scrapman sees.
I don't think Scrapman will be able to make this, that's a lot of logic, and Scrapman.. he's not bad at logic, but I doubt that he will be able to do this.
To improve your logging system, you should make a truck that can carry 15-20 trees at once and then dispense them into a system that cuts them up automatically at your base. It would reduce logging time too, because all the processing could be done will you are doing other things.
Kinda like what MoonBo did before he destroyed it because of the weld update and welding trees was added again. But I kinda doubt he'd do it. They want their content to be as original as possible.
@@Jakc5 True. The current one is good. I think it would be better if he only had one refinery system on his logger for less weight, but maybe that weight is necessary when cutting trees so that it won't flip over. Who knows, maybe one refinery is enough.
Exactly! And then he can also have sensors detecting if it's a vehicle, just like they work irl (or just have a sensor on the roof detecting tall things)
My idea is kind of like yours except for we can combine our ideas together we can have your idea for like a garage and my idea is to have an elevator exactly like the elevator for your garage idea and make that be the crafting area
if you want some 1x1 wedges, take some explosives into a warehouse, "liberate" a stair case, move it one floor via an elevator and then you can dismantle it into its constituent parts. all the wedges you want.
Explanation for the bearing arrow swap: There are 2 sides of the bearing, the side you put it on (main side) and the side you put on it (moving side). So, let's say your moving side has to rotate clockwise when looking from it's direction. This means that it should rotate counterclockwise from the main's direction. Now, if we fix moving side in place and let main side rotate, we will see it rotate in counterclockwise direction, but the arrows can't know it and don't change. The sides are different, like they are with springs and pistons, you can also see the difference when deleting different parts: getting rid of the main part will get rid of the bearing, while getting rid of the moving part won't. Aka if A rotates clockwise around B, B rotates counterclockwise around A. You differentiate between A and B when placing down a bearing.

BTW love your work!! Keep it up!!!!
Here's a suggestion for the sake of convenience. Make a walkway between the U and the garden, so you don't have to go in the water anymore. Also, try putting some chests in the floor. It'd save space. And if you want some flare, but lights under the floor, to give your base an under glow!
*joins the chorus* The new bridge isn't as steep. you will probably have to make it heavier and reduce the angle on the controller, so the weight is what brings it to rest, not the controller.

ScrapMan, the hydrolic/cushion effect happens when a piston pe pistons are holding a bit too much weight, when the pistons try to stop early, the weight of the build and gravity pull it downward. Which makes it look like it slows down just before reaching the ground. To do this the controller connected to the pistons needs to stop them right before they reach the ground, and if the pistons are too weak to hold the weight, gravity pulls the drawbridge down while the pistons resist, creating a slower decent towards the ground. LIKE THIS SO SCRAP MAN SEES IT! -ps this is the first 5ime I've ever commented on a video! Keep up the great work! :)

I have an idea for the base! You could put a platform underneath the the drawbridge and put saws on the under side of the drawbridge so when you lift it the bots will walk on the platform underneath then you put the drawbridge down it will crush them with the saws!

The hydraulic cushioning effect on the other drawbridge probably happens because it lands in water, the new drawbridge does not land in water, so it does not get the cushioning effect. Edit: nevermind, it was the bearings.
I think i'll be cool if you create some red rotating emergency red lights that light up when you rise the bridges and on the raids, just for visual appeal an a cinematographic feeling.
ScrapMan, the way you’ve hooked up the bearings and pistons on the second bridge is different to the first, if you match the way they are hooked up on the second controller as it is on the first, you’ll the get the hydronic cushion effect that the first bridge has.
What, the notification just popped up, and I clicked on it, a d there are 400 views already, wTf, is this?!! #NotificationSquad like this comment, if you're part of notification squad
The parking garage could be put over the garden with a make shift draw bridge that Lings up against the back of the garden. Then a platform that sits on top of the garden.
You got the cushioning effect because the hydraulics were fighting the barrings. If you turn the hydraulics length down you should be able to replicate it. The difference between the 2 is the angle of which the bridge hits the ground.
The Garage should be in an enclosed area with some mechanic tools like a lift for repairing vehicles, a craftbot for crafting parts, ecc It would be really cool to see something like that with a big sign with “Scrapman’s Garage” on it
If you make a wall of chests, place the rightmost chest on the second row upside down, then the leftmost chest on the third row, then rightmost chest on the fourth... and so on. You can organize all your items in the chests, and the craft bot could pull from ALL the chests. I made a diagram: i.imgur.com/ZcFZjCQ.png I suggest leaving the bottom row (connected to the Refinebot) for refined blocks... that way it won't be too upsetting if the disorganized output flows into some of the other chests. The vacuum tube would be useful if you were upgrading all your metal blocks to metal 3. Loop craft Metal 1, Metal 2, and Metal 3, and then you could just toss stuff in the refinery, and as long as you had water and ember it'd just keep going. (but if your output chest filled up it'd make a mess overflowing into the other chests.)
make a control tower with a seat where you can control your traps, the drawbridge, and anything else you might add in the future. an example of this would be a garage door or maybe defense turrets. and a tower would be a good place for a control room so you can see your entire base from a high vantage point.
The 2nd drawbridge being broken: the reason why is visible at 13:55. The drawbridge isn't actually attached to that bearing, and that's why flipping its direction had little effect. I find for pieces that are attached to two interactive parts like this, it's best to attach block(s) to each interactive piece first (in this case, a block to the bearing and one to the piston, and only after that place blocks in between), then weld them together - it tends to avoid these type of troubleshoots.
I think a giant rotating garage, on the way to the front door would be awesome to see. Large platform per vehicle. It’s crazy in general, crazy expensive, but it’s survival with an overproducing woodchipper, why not?
The main reason the left drawbridge didn’t have the hydraulic cushioning because it doesn’t go as far down. The right one ends on the waterline so it has a further distance to travel allowing the pistons to resist the bearings a bit. For the satisfying opening, move the bridge back so it has more room to go down
At the back of your base you should put a catapult that throws you out of you base or have a boat with a survival kit inside to get away just in case a multiple boss raid come.
I would put a garage in the middle for building and tinkering, with the crafting/chest area in the back. Then build your house area above that and leave areas on either side to park your different vehicles.

@@TheNuclearDragon true but there could be supports or some kind of stabilizer to keep it from bending. Just an idea.
It would make it unstable but still a good idea.
@the challenger
Or just TRUSTER POWERED FOLDING MECHANISM OF DOOOOOM!
I think i'll be cool if you create some red rotating emergency red lights that light up when you rise the bridges and on the raids, just for visual appeal an a cinematographic feeling.
ScrapMan, the way you’ve hooked up the bearings and pistons on the second bridge is different to the first, if you match the way they are hooked up on the second controller as it is on the first, you’ll the get the hydronic cushion effect that the first bridge has.
i just kinda realized that his “base” is just a fortified garden😭😭😭😭
Make some merch called "working as intended"
What, the notification just popped up, and I clicked on it, a d there are 400 views already, wTf, is this?!! #NotificationSquad like this comment, if you're part of notification squad
Like did it
Make a boat dock, for aiding in clam and oil collection, while switching some of your larger ground vehicles to battery so you can support flyers.
The parking garage could be put over the garden with a make shift draw bridge that Lings up against the back of the garden. Then a platform that sits on top of the garden.
Day 31 asking scrapman to make a song based on delayed annihilation
You got the cushioning effect because the hydraulics were fighting the barrings. If you turn the hydraulics length down you should be able to replicate it. The difference between the 2 is the angle of which the bridge hits the ground.
The Garage should be in an enclosed area with some mechanic tools like a lift for repairing vehicles, a craftbot for crafting parts, ecc
It would be really cool to see something like that with a big sign with “Scrapman’s Garage” on it
Or for short the SMG
If you make a wall of chests, place the rightmost chest on the second row upside down, then the leftmost chest on the third row, then rightmost chest on the fourth... and so on.
You can organize all your items in the chests, and the craft bot could pull from ALL the chests.
I made a diagram: i.imgur.com/ZcFZjCQ.png
I suggest leaving the bottom row (connected to the Refinebot) for refined blocks... that way it won't be too upsetting if the disorganized output flows into some of the other chests.
Sorry I'm late but a revolving parking storage comes to mind
You should make it on the wood vehicle so the tail will fold up using bearings
I would put a garage in the middle for building and tinkering, with the crafting/chest area in the back. Then build your house area above that and leave areas on either side to park your different vehicles.
thumbs up for that double intro
On your tree harvester, make it so the brace on the back (for the big trees) can fold up so you don't bottom out trying to go up your ramps.
Also maybe a dressing room and a secret room for valuables, or a vault
