Same here :/ I think I put a smile on Matts face when I met him the other day, because I've got the same tattoo hes got on his hand and he wanted to see it. Probably the best day of my life ahaha
Idk why everyone is freaking out about the Rev question. It was perfectly respectful. And if Syn was offended by it, he definitely wouldn't have elaborated his thoughts so much. Great interview man!
I don't see the effects when he started talking about deja vu. I normally am a Ricky Martin, Clay Eiken, Seether kind of listener. There is something about Synyster that I am so hypnotized by his character. I keep dreaming af him as part of my life hoping for a future because he is like the true image of a stable man. God I hope his wife never reads these with a new baby she would "get canning" knowing I think I have a real crush going on for Synyster.
Why are everyone raging about the Jimmy question? It's a natural question to ask. I was wondering the same. It was nice to hear that Jimmy still makes him smile
Thank you Synyster (I take it your name is a homage to the great man). It is a natural question to ask. I know from the death of friends that the first few years are really acute, but then there comes a time when they aren't constantly in our thoughts. Thanks again.
Yes! Couldn't agree more. I generally feel happy whenever I think of my dead friend too. It's like having a god up there, and you know he's watching over you.
Thanks for the upload. I was at this gig so its a cool insight. You need to upgrade your audio recording equipment mind you. The voice recorder on an Iphone sounds better than this
Hi Marty, Well spotted. I actually had a proper microphone on my DSLR, but, to my horror, mid-way through the interview I realised I had forgotten to turn it on. Luckily I had the iPhone for back-up. It's not perfect by any means, but at least I was able to put the interview forward. Regards, Ronan
These things happen. I'd rather have a bad recording (that you can still hear and understand mind you) than no recording at all so thanks for the interview. Just another good learning experience. :)
You are entitled to your opinion, but why swear? How does it add to your argument? I asked him about The Rev because of The Rev's Irish connection and because Synyster Gates was in Dublin.
Because humans swear, it's how people convey emotion. Your backup for asking that question is awful! Of course he thinks about and misses his best friend dude. Everyone in that band does, they still fucking write songs about him. Yes, let's be that part of the fanbase that continuously reminds them that their best friend is dead lol
Elif Bersan The band lost their drummer(the Rev)a few years back who was there friend and family for the longest time They wrote So far away as a tribute to the Rev and Fiction was the last Song he sang in.Another Song was St. James which Syn wrote as another tribute to his best friend The Rev. The Self titled album has some Deep connection to what the Rev was feeling(at least I think) In the lyrics such as Brompton Cocktail and If you look at some Interviews about the Rev You will learn more about it but It really hits you hard when you learn about it more. If you watch the all access documentary about avenged sevenfold you will also learn more about it along with the 20+ minute tribute they made for him on RUclips. Sorry for the shity sentence structure by the way.
"Do you still think about him, do you still miss him". What a stupid question, of course he does
syn will always be my favourite
Oh man, the last part of this smacked me in the feels...
Same man. I still miss him a fuckton :(
Same here :/ I think I put a smile on Matts face when I met him the other day, because I've got the same tattoo hes got on his hand and he wanted to see it. Probably the best day of my life ahaha

8:20 ALL ABOARD THE FEELS TRAIN
Last question was so fucking forced. Made me cringe in the most awful way, it wasn't needed. The interview wasn't even headed in that direction.
