Looked at this in B &Q for the second time, couldn't remember how to extend it! Thanks for this clip i now know! It looks a lovely bit of kit, i will be buying one, although not at B & Q because i have seen it much cheaper on a different website!
You can retract the limiter and without removing the cover you can easy get full length of your string at the front of trimmer to reach all you need. :-)
Extended is to determine the maximum length of the line with the cover on. If you have some hard-to-reach places, you can slide them in, then it will be easier for you to mow.
I have the exact same weed. Wacker works wonderful. It's super powerful, but except you have to wear goggles.😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮 My money is well spent on this.
Just had to ask the dumb question... Why did you have to remove the cover @ 15m 12s? Does the metal hoop shown @ 6m 19s just unclip and retract under the cover a little?
As for the cover, I wanted to make it easier to trim, but it is not necessary to remove it. Just apply it under the right angle and the line will reach everywhere. In addition, as you can see in the video, the cover has a blade that cuts the line too long, so only after removing the cover I could pull the line beyond the safety threshold, thus making trimming easier. However, I don't do that right now. I learned to set the device under such an angle that it reaches everywhere without removing the cover.
If you have a large area to mow and much more funds, then a petrol mower will be better for you. But for my little trimming this one is enough. It is easy to use, quiet and much cheaper. Thanks for your feedback and comment.
@@SurgicalUnboxing thanks for your reply. So after watching your video I purchased one almost identical just a different brand.( screwfix’s own brand) it’s called the titan. I found it to be very helpful for cutting tall grass. Absolute power but imo the only downside was the not being able to edge lawn’s accurately due to the weight and use of the harness which is necessary to use. Also the length is abit on the longer side and I’m 6ft tall. I am wondering if one without a harness and a single overhand grip would be better for much more efficient use? I found it difficult to get the right angle to cut weeds poking from pavers but the long grass was a joy. Should I keep this one and maybe purchase a smaller one for smaller jobs?? And would I even get a refund due to an unsuitable design? I’m limited on what I can spend so sorry if it sounds a big deal. Once again thanks for your feedback and happy days to you ✌🏽❤️🇬🇧
Hello. Unfortunately, there is no second battery. It is not premium equipment either. However, I don't need a device to mow roadside ditches, I only need a trimmer for a few places on the lawn where a mower can't reach, and it is completely sufficient and at a reasonable price. Thanks for commenting and watching.

Yes I know, rookie mistake, I wanted to be smarter than the producer 😅 🤫 You're another person who noticed this 🤛👍 Thanks for watching.
How do you attach the plastic blades to it? I can't figure it out
Looks good, better than my corded one from a well known brand that I hated enough to be dumping it after 2 uses.
O
Very helpful video it's only a strimmer but I was lost trying to follow the book😂
Thank you this was very informative I can now use this in confidence 🏴
Hi, do i have to leave the metal ring extended out or should it be pushed in after the cover has been fixed on? Thanks!

Are you meant to take the knife attached to the guide out?
Which minute of the video is the question about?

Looks weak and not very long. I think I will go with the petrol version. Thanks

Lousy brand only comes wilth one battery only ?
Most of the other brand comes with two at least.
Weak and cheap.
