My genuine condolences for the loss of your father. It's good that he fostered your interest in Manson's music, though. I only ever owned one album and it was High End of Low. My mother threw it out and my dad lectured me about how my like Manson's music was and I quote, "Nothing but mother fucker this and fuck this, fuck that." He had no idea what he was talking about and clearly never paid any attention to what was really being said. I've always had to hide the majority of my interests because I felt like on top of all the problems I dealt with growing up being disabled and feeling like no one understood me. I always felt like I had to hide part of myself and still do sometimes as my disabilities have gotten so much worse over the years. Marilyn Manson's music has saved me from suicide multiple times ever since I first heard it back in high school. For those who take the time to really understand his words, they should be able to see his brilliance and his own understanding of the more difficult parts of life because he has lived it. Music on any topic always turns out more memorable and meaningful when a person has lived their music, you know what I mean? Anyway, sorry for the diatribe. I truly am sorry again about your dad's passing. I have no doubt he was a good and caring man who loved and supported his son and family.
My all-time favourite song from him... i love going outside and sit right under a tree while i listen to this. Like, i have a great life-thinking moment
I was always confused by Marilyn Manson as a kid, never scared of him. Even as a 6 year old, I knew the lyrics to this were deep and dark, even if I didn't completely understand the meaning. I had very deep/dark thoughts (for a 6yo) about death when this song played as a kid. The lyrics really are disturbing.
Stillnotbitten It means nobody cared that you died. "Kill you on their T.V." If you are famous, your death will get Momentous amounts of media coverage. Which means you will get endless praise. Hence the "Martyr and a Lamb of God" You are welcome. It is basically just telling that nobody cares about the average person. But if you are famous then they will do everything they can to make you seem god-like. Like uh, celebrity worship in a way.
I also feel like it's commentary on the fact that a lot of people may not have been a fan of this person, or cared about them when they were alive but as soon as they die. They claim to be super fans. It's a really sad thing when celebrities die and are all of a sudden praised when they weren't alive. True fans will mourn of course but there's always those types of people.
Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. revolution 3:20
I'll be honest I imagine it like this looking at a family, like, hypnotized to a old school TV And when the singing starts, The band with gothic longcoats are playing, And as it goes, some social disasters are happening Like. School Shootings, Big fights, robberies, murders, and the tv is like getting so white sounds sometimes and by the end, all those disasters are like fast forward to marilyn's face And his face shows like a worrying, kind of dead, and that face that shows that you try to tell something when no one listening to you This is how I imagine it
i hope youre kidding, this is a note for note ripoff of Climbing the Walls from Ok Computer, an album Manson has said hes obsessed with, hes lucky he doesnt get sued
climbing up the walls goes : G-->Bm-->Em. This song goes Am-->G-->F. Two totally different chord progressions in two completely different keys. Take your ignorance and misinformation somewhere else please.
Nothing's gonna change the world, so true but sad.
One of the best songs by Manson.
Holy Wood is MM's best work.
Not his best work, but is a great album
First 4 MM's albums are masterpieces... And The Pale Emperor and Heaven upside Down are great too
Rip Dad! He bought me this album and it'll always be one of my fav manson albums.
Back in 2000 I believe. He's been gone 10 years now.
@@anthonyperkins9338 sorry about you tv and yeah it was the 2000s

Victoria Chase punk? you did not said that, hipster

+Chloe Price I think that the song is a dialogue between verse and chorus. I love this song too. Cheers... 9ish.

Nothing's gonna change the world. It will change by itself.
It's amazing very very a character vocal is good👌👍👍i like this
Climbing up the walls...
Beautiful song.
This is his best song on the album
The lyrics in this are so good. So meta and all over but so together at the same time. The Beatles references. Ugh.
Meaningful access to the mind.
hell spat me out heaven cast me down and now this place is rotten or hath ye forgotten i was begotten
If they kill you on their TV, you're a martyr and a lamb of God
Lamb of God, have mercy on us
Deeply very beautifull song
So good. Simply
*We Were Looking For David*
MARILYN MANSON IS OUR GOD NOW
one of Brians best songs he is just a man like me or you but he wont be forgotten
Nothing's gonna change
As the years go by, I still get a kick out of that song!
what an amazing song..
So good & delicate, sounds like a Smashing Pumpkins cover.
perfect song :)
amazing!!!
4:03 the best part starts from here 🫀
My favourite Manson song
Hoy lloro por que nada cambiara el mundo T.T
Pero tu si puedes cambiar!
2020 text still on up
Hurt (NIN) + Climbing up the walls (Radiohead) + Across the universe (The Beatles) = Lamb of god
Love you mommy and daddy and mark and David......
Amazing song
If ya die when no one is watching...?

Unless you're a washed up celeb whose "ratings have dropped and are forgotten" -- they die in obscurity.

Let’s change the world together
Am I the only one left here 2024?
Nah 😔
this song is so fucking beautiful❤
i wonder what the music video for this song would be like
I'll be honest
I imagine it like this
looking at a family, like, hypnotized to a old school TV
And when the singing starts, The band with gothic longcoats are playing,
And as it goes, some social disasters are happening
Like. School Shootings, Big fights, robberies, murders,

like
a worrying, kind of dead, and that face that shows that you try to tell something when no one listening to you
This is how I imagine it
Sounds like climbing up the walls by radiohead
OMG, Manson invented lofi hip hop 😱😱😱
Does the intro/verse riff remind anyone else of Johnny Cash's version of NIN - Hurt?
Everyone's to busy living to even give thought to the desperate need.
IAM here what’s new is used up the payment is due “ final notice “
Find a shepherd little sheep

i'm pretty shure this song and album was years before collumbine
Ver is he from . Nxt level
Лет 9 назад под этот охуенный песень, с криками .. Он нашел, он нашел. выбежали какие-то люди в распираторах. Я знаю
Thanks to Radiohead's climb up the wall melody vocal
Is this his answer to people blaming him for the collumbine shooting ?
12 people weren't Lambs of God
Who does Manson refer to by Jack being Sainted?
He's referring to President John F. Kennedy, who was known as Jack. The video for Coma White recreates the day Kennedy was assassinated.
Who's mark david
Geek G1rl206 the dude who shot and killed John Lennon
Anyone notice all the Beatles references throughout this album?
nah anti christ superstar came out in like 96 or 97 i belive
Did marylin manson invent low fi beats in this song. Be honest
I'm a gay little girl with gay wedding phantasies and this is our slow song.
Gay little girl? That dont even makes sense, if any, I find your comment highly disturbing and idiotic. Gethelp

Mansons pesky vampire here, he turned the comments off…. Wah… I can’t trick him into giving me hype for upcoming political speeches any more… wah
Your getting ritch off of someone else’s style of life within their life .
cant believe he thinks hes gonna get away with totally ripping off a very well known radiohead song...pathetic
What radiohead song?
i hope youre kidding, this is a note for note ripoff of Climbing the Walls from Ok Computer, an album Manson has said hes obsessed with, hes lucky he doesnt get sued
@@nancybabbage1169 yeah i agree this song is bad ass tho, he's just inspired
I think is more alike to across the universe, in which I think was inspire by,
