Gen 3 Tacoma Bed Stiffener On A Gen 4 Tacoma You May Not Need One

Gen 3 Bed Stiffeners can be easily modified to fit a Gen 4 Tacoma. If you’re thinking of adding bed stiffeners to your 2024 or Gen 4 Tacoma or later, watch this first!
On the Gen 3, if you haul heavy loads against the bed sides in rough terrain or have bed racks, you can actually push the bed sides out to the point where it can cause issues with the tailgate. Adding bed stiffeners will rectify or prevent this.
Gen 4 Tacoma may not need bed stiffeners but modifying and installing the ones made for the Gen 3 Tacoma.

If you’re not hauling loose loads over rough terrain, you probably don’t need bed stiffeners unless you want extra cargo tie down points.
