I remember all the stress I went through before discovering NAZAMIE while I was with my grandma who had Alzheimer's disease. She always accuse me of stealing her stuff, asked same set of questions repeatedly. It was so annoying and frustrating. Getting to know about NAZAMIE was very helpful to her mental health condition though. Sometimes the solution we ignore turns out to be what works for us.
may i ask what exactly is NAZAMIE? i understand how you feel. my grandfather has dementia too.
One suggestion ::: Please try to elaborate on concepts and mechanism ... the "why" and "how" questions... ... rather than listing out things ... You put on a lot of effort guys,,, but this teaching is very traditional, and it is not why we students are here... we are here to clarify doubts, not to pick up facts... thank you !!!

Dementia is a bummer. However, if it is caused by long term case of severe hypoglycemia, then you may be in luck. If the cause of your hypoglycemia is discovered, and once it is seen to, your recovery slowly comes about, and all those separate parts that make up your consciousness reappear basically one at a time. With this being the case, you can identify each of them. Before hand they would all activate together as you woke up, and all shut down together as you fell asleep, and thus you had never been able to see their individualities before. Of course, now seeing the minds components allows you to see what consciousness is composed of. Then you do everything you can possibly do to forget what you have learnt. The brain creates consciousness. Your mind now knows how the brain creates consciousness. As a consequence of this, your mind catches up with the activity of the brain itself as it creates your consciousness. The end result is that the distance between you and the brain activity that is making that "YOU" be conscious in the first place, becomes very very small, and in turn makes your consciousness smaller and smaller. If your understanding of consciousness is perfect, your consciousness will end up being nothing more than a petite repetitive loop. Fortunately, when this occurs, the rate of demand for neurotransmitters exceeds the rate of supply, and thus you fall out of being caught in the loop. So the funny point is, if you are very smart, it can lead to making your mind very small. But, if you are not so smart, your mind may be big enough to allow you to become a doctor, a physicist, or an astronaut, etc., however, you will not be able to put two and two together.
My mother has dementia and she is not a nice person anymore. I am her sole caregiver, I have no family that cares or wants to help or even talk, I have developed psychological issues now because of everything she is putting me through, I feel so trapped, alone and helpless. I don't know if I'm gonna make it to the end of it before just ending myself to feel peace again. Either that or I will literally just not say a word to her, not even "good morning", in order to preserve my mental health, which is very poor at the moment.
You must pray a lot and maybe put your mom in a care centre
Please speak with a doctor about this. Let them know how it's affecting you. They can help
I know. I found myself looking into the refridgerator and heard myself narrating myself. It was like an out of body experience from so much trauma.

Good morning Doctor. I am a health care worker .my patient at night he would wet very wet top and bottom,I use 2 laptops, and if I make the diaper tight he would tare it off to get his hands In side . what I can't understand is that the diaper don't wet most time just a little part at the front wet at the top.and everything else is wet. My husband has Parkinson's an thyroid problems an he had a subdural hematoma he has bad tremors . So by having these he might get dementia????
Parkinson's puts him at risk for dementia, sadly. My brother has Parkinson's so I've done a lot of reading about it. The Fox Foundation has good information.
