    A lot of eye Doctors advise not to use a retinoid around the eyes as it can cause dry eyes, is that just for Tretinoin ????

    Thank you so much for this video. I have been going straight under my eyes and on top of the eyelid also with the eye cream. Been noticing some burning around my eyes. When I layer heavily w/ flawless moisturizer it helps a lot around the eye. Great tip for not crossing over with the eye and night retinoid. I don’t think I’ve been doing that. Loving all your products. Been on them for 3 years now.

      So nice to hear this! Yes, the eye area and the skin just outside of that needs careful consideration. And remember, product slips a bit so we always need less than we think!

    I'm so grateful that my skin seems pretty robust. I started on tretinoin at .025% every other night and never had a single night of irritation. I can even put it on my neck. I see no reason to do a higher % given it is shown effective with that strength, even if it takes an extra month or two to get up to full effectiveness that way. Is there a reason to go higher?
    My retinal eye cream I also put on my forehead for now, so that very thin skin is treated more gently. Once I run out of the 2 tubes I have I'll try the tret up there too. I've decided not to go inside my orbital bone though, as I get a little dry eye the 2 times I've put the retinal eye cream that close to my eyes. I think I'll just take the preventative approach that close to my eyes and keep wearing sunglasses.

    Hi Dr Sam what if our concern is wrinkles under the eyes and not cross feet. Should the application be the same then ? Is there anything to help "fight" wrinkles/fine lines im that area ?

    • @Donna-cc1kt
      @Donna-cc1kt 2 года назад

      I thought about that too. Then I decided that even if I don’t have crows feet now - I will. Finally I can get ahead of that curve! She did say we work toward the inner areas of the eye when ready.

    • @DrSamBunting
      @DrSamBunting  2 года назад

      Same approach really - the area is still getting compressed with each smile so the mechanism of etching in lines is the same.

    • @DrSamBunting

      A similar technique. Apply lip balm and a little moisturiser on skin above lip, to buffer. Then take your retinoid over the top. Do it every 2nd or 3rd day initially. see how you get on.

    When it comes to anti-aging, it is well established that tretinoin is the gold standard. I feel like using any other retinoid is a waste of time and money. Why use anything else?I know that you have a financial interest in promoting your products but don't you miss your tretinoin?

    • @skinnyblonde

      Other retinoids are not a waste of money or time… they all convert into retinoic acid. Some people have sensitive skin or not enough money for tretinion.
