  • With the start of a local Mercedes-Benz passenger car production, Daimler is following up on its previous activities in Russia. The new capacities aim to serve the high demand for Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedans and SUVs, which is especially high in Russia. The plant will therefore in addition to the E-Class also produce SUV models. This means that the bestselling Mercedes-Benz passenger cars in Russia will be manufactured directly locally in the future. Since 2013 Mercedes-Benz has been the premium automotive brand with most new registrations in Russia. In the past ten years, the company more than doubled its passenger car sales in Russia. Production at the Mercedes-Benz Moscovia plant is characterized by the most modern and innovative Industry 4.0 technologies. Driverless transportation systems convey the bodies between the subsections. Automated shopping cart systems are also used in assembly. Additionally, there are forward-looking solutions for improving ergonomics and efficiency, such as human-robot cooperation when installing the windscreen without a protective fence.

    Good video. As someone that owns a W213 i don't see the harm in all of the manual work and inspection. I wouldn't say my W213 is faultless - rattles in the drivers door been looked at 4 times and they can't seem to fix it. So i don't see how this would be different.

      My 2020 W213 has absolutely no issues regarding rattles...

    Мдаа, хана Мерсу судя по видео 80% работы делается в ручную, женщина на первых минутах, по-моему вообще не соображает что делает, неуверенная. Надеюсь, хоть в вин коде будут прописывать, что машину собирали в Москве

    I don't want to have a car from Moscow assembly line. Quality? Handwork instead robotics. Look at woman who shows in video in first minutes. She can't handle with the tool... Good-by Mercedes quality. :(

    • @OldBenzClub
      @OldBenzClub  5 лет назад +7

      You will not have such a car. Assembly in Russia is carried out for the Russian market.

      @@OldBenzClub Dear team, are you serious? Mercedes is one for everyone (Russians, Germans, Koreans, Americans, etc.), it can't be good or bad for Russia, it should be great for everyone! If Daimler wants to establish differences between the Russian market and the rest of the world, it will be the end of Mercedes' quality.

    • @OldBenzClub
      @OldBenzClub  5 лет назад +2

      @@Ljet600 The quality of cars assembled in Russia is no different from cars assembled at other plants. Cars for the Chinese market, for example, are made in China and it does not bother anyone.

      @@OldBenzClub I don't believe that robotics assembly in Germany is of the same quality as in Moscow (look at this woman, she can't position the welding tools). sure, Russia is second market for Daimler and it's sadly. You said that E-Klasse from Russia will never enter either European or other markets, of course, it is clear to me that the quality at the Russian factory is low and not comparable to the quality "made in Germany". But in any case, this is bad for Daimer. I think the quality should be the same. Robotics works much more processional and better than manual work, as we can see in the video from Moscow. I have C-Klasse made in Bremen, and I don't like to have a Daimler car made in Russia. Thank you.

      It's a matter of price. The Russian wants a car assembled by an accurate robot, please order a German assembly. And if he prefers to save money, then you can buy a Russian assembly much cheaper. As a Russian, I like this choice.

    Ich denke es sollte eine bestimmte Anzahl an Jobs entstehen. Um eventuell Subventionen zu bekommen bzw einen guten Standort. Die Qualität wird trotzdem die gleiche sein. Es wird regelmäßig kontrolliert und zwar 100% nicht sporadisch.
