As soon as Vader discovered the life of his son that’s what his new priority became. His loyalty shifted from Palpatine to Luke. And that’s what Star Wars is about. Anakin’s loyalty to his family.
Vader: What? I have a son? Emperor: N-no, I said ANAKIN Skywalker has a son. You are Darth Vad- Vader: I HAVE A SON! This is wonderful! Emperor: Wait- Vader: (Running away) I must see him! Emperor: Where are you going...?
well the recent Vader comic confirms this.. and this is the exact reason why Sidious tortured, mutilated and left him on mustafar to help him remember who he really is
For the better, they should've instruct Lars family to kept Luke as their biological son but Obi & Yoda actualy intended him stayed as "a Skywalker", bearing his blood so that he could take on the Emperor and Sith in the future, and bring balance. It was actually evident when Maul ask Obi "is he the chosen one?" (luke) in rebel, afterall those years, they still believes in the prophecy.
This actually makes me happy because I truly felt the sheer anger of vader during this moment in your video. It was so so well done. I went back 2-3 times just to watch this part.
Darth Vader has the same quality as Din Djarin in that we focus primarily on the body language rather than the expression to denote emotion. In a comic we can actually see this in greater detail as more focus can be given to each movement to be processed hyper analytically at the reader's convenience and then done so through audio comic videos such as this. Here we see the shift in Vader, to this point he's been ruled by the constant pain which has fuelled his anger, hatred (a lot of it at himself) and sorrow because this is his life now. This is all he has, and there is no escape unless he gets replaced in which case he's dead. Palpatine is his true enemy, he recognises him now more than ever in this scene as the one who ruined his life and made him a walking corpse in a suited coffin. But now there is something new, hope for the first time in about twenty years. There is another Skywalker, a descendant of Anakin and Padme, one who could defeat the emperor and help bring order, stability and peace to the galaxy and give Vader's life meaning and perhaps peace. This knowledge sets Vader onto the path he will tread all the way to ESB, every action from this point on is in pursuit of that goal. Hope is his vicious motivator, and he will hold onto this until he faces Luke in Cloud City after which he will have it stripped from him but fortunately Luke will find it and forge it into a light to guide his father out of the darkness.
Hadn't really noticed it before. And reading body language from the comics that can't possibly be useful lol. Looking out the window, while listening to BoBa Fett, he looked out the window and his side profile is partially downcast and then looking straight out. Memories planned in his mind. The panel when he says he has a son, his chin raises a touch. Depending upon perspective, I don't see that as an arrogant tilt of the chin. That is a hopeful moment. 20 years or loss and despair has just changed.
Sorry for the numerous typos. If you start typing while the video is playing things go to discard or keep typing and you can't get the entire sections piece by piece. This keeps me making the mistakes of typos and then when my thumbs are racing to keep up with my thoughts, before those thoughts just die of loneliness. So....whoops. Sorry
KDF Highlights is a new series we are doing where we take the best moments and clips from our past comic dubs that have been voiced by our actors. This is to promote our original content and work and to avoid any type of copyright issues.
These Star Wars comic audio dramas are a great idea. After i read a Star Wars comic, I then come to your channel to hear what you did with it. I have been trying to get a few friends and family members to read the Star Wars comics with no success. I will send a few of your audio drama versions to them. Maybe that will get their attention.
too me this was the part where Anakin Skywalker return When the moment vader found out boy name Skywalker Through that moment he think back all the years when he has had padme The moment he was told that he was going to have a child that going have family And when he became Vader he asked his master where is Padme where is she and the master told him she was kill from your anger you killed her He realized that was nothing more than a lie and he started to realize he is nothing more than a Pawn than the emperor's own game when ep 5 Empire Strikes Back I see why Vader wanted Luke to join His side now
I heard exactly that song in my head while reading this the first time. It's like you plucked it from my brain. So cool to see some fans on the same wavelength. This was amazingly done.
I’ve had an interesting thought. Boba Fett met Anakin somewhere during the war following the incident with Jango. Did he know Luke was Vader’s son? Better question, did he ever piece together that Anakin and Vader were one and the same? It doesn’t ultimately affect him, but it’s still food for thought
kempmt1 well he might have independent oxygen inside there. Or a rebreather. It gives him time to deal with the emergency, but he might be able to turn on magnetic clamps in his "boots". I was wondering the same thing
ScorpionEQG7 ahh. Thanks for the explanation. I had to pop back into the video to respond to your comment. It's a nice moment during the day. Depending on your age, check out FarScape. Cool and fun scifi shows are always those important adjectives
I’d be pissed too he essentially lost a good 20 years thinking he was alone when he had a son, plus he was close to killing his son in a new Hope I imagine he was pissed at that too
Sense Palpatine is always two steps ahead of everyone, and pretty much has surveillance on everything the empire touches, I wonder if he already knew this before ESB
We are of course continuing with the Vader, Kanan, Leia, and Main Series. We have big plans for April to say the least. Follow us on Twitter for some sneak peaks as to what is coming next!

Dom toretto
Agreed. The tale of Star Wars has always been about family.
Anakin’s loyalty to those he cares about is his greatest strength but also his most fatal flaw that ultimately led to a period of oppression.
"I HAVE A SON?! THAT'S WONDERFUL! I MUST TELL EVERYONE!"
VADER just saying "I HAVE A SON" shows that ANAKIN was STILL within him!!!
Spawnfreak hey asteroids I have a son!
Vader: What? I have a son?
Emperor: N-no, I said ANAKIN Skywalker has a son. You are Darth Vad-
Vader: I HAVE A SON! This is wonderful!
Emperor: Wait-
Vader: (Running away) I must see him!
Emperor: Where are you going...?
Oh HISHE memories.
“I have a son little thing that wonders around the room”
"I want you to know-- I will not fail."
He's referring to the rule of two. He's essentially telling his master that oh yes, he *will* kill him.
BEST SCENE in ALL the new comics thus far!!! VADER just saying "I HAVE A SON" shows that ANAKIN was STILL within him!!!!
well the recent Vader comic confirms this.. and this is the exact reason why Sidious tortured, mutilated and left him on mustafar to help him remember who he really is
Yes...the fact that he said “I have a son”, not “Anakin had a son”, proves that they are still the same person after all these years 😪
@@almoores8309 yup still the same child murderer
Funny how luke kept his last name after obiwan/yoda tried to hid him from the empire
He was living with Aunt Berue and Uncle Owen, who also had the same last name.

What if the name Skywalker was a slave name? Sort of a hope for future freedom kind of thing. There might be lots of Skywalkers on Tattoonie.

Marvel always does a great job with Vader. They make him seem more than Palpatines Puppet if only they could do the same for Dooku
Great shot kid! I could FEEL Vader's wrath coalescing as the truth dawned on him.
I would love it, if they made a film about how Darth Vader found out Luke was his son.
You can't see his face but you know Vader is seething with rage at this point.
You can't see his face but you can tell....Vader's pissed
The glass breaks and Vader gets sucked into space and dies. The end :D
You could’ve used the voice clips from the movies for the flashbacks, but this is still pretty good
Zatharos copy right
Saeid Radder really? I’ve seen people use and upload clips of the movies before on youtube. But then again those were just the clips and no editing

I want to see Ezra, Bad Batch, Thrawn and Barriss's reaction realizing that Luke is Anakin's son
This seems to be the beginning of Anakin Skywalker overcoming the Dark side
*This video is pure GOLD.*

Going to use this on a star wars instagram edit, will give you the proper credits, of course;) thanks for making this
I can't wait to see you guys do the bit where Sylo puts Vader in Armor-Lock.
I hope Vader had some gravity boots when he began to crack the window pane.

2:07 um padmay what rong with your face? 2:14 um Luke what is also rong with your face?
Saeid Radder That’s the power of Larroca.
Alex Greaney, I kinda dig Larocca's work. It's sorta gotta less stylized, more detailed Eduardo Risso vibe. I still like Risso more, though.
Second favorite moment in the whole series!
Probably my favorite part of this series
Does Vader knows that his anger will shatter the glass and suck him into space?
I think he's learned to control it enough to only crack the glass and not fully smash it

Whan did this happen between what movie
Shortly after A New Hope, years before Empire
@@StarWarsAudioComics cool right before vader says in ep5 luke I am your father

Is this before or after the conversation Vader has with the Emperator on Episode 5?
Before
I watch this again and again. Sooo good. Ty
hi
It gave me chills
Cool star wars comic
Wait but I thought Vader learned about Luke when Palpatine told him during Episode 5?
Earlier in the movie, before Palpatine tells Vader that Luke is his son, Vader says "That is the system. And I'm sure Skywalker is with them." @@StarWarsAudioComics So this comic fixed a plothole because Vader would have to have realized that skywalker is the same as his surname.
is this canon ?
Yup
So in the entire universe there are no other skywalkers ?
None that he knows of
Earlier in the comics, he saw Luke with his old lightsaber, so when he heard this he probably just figured it was his son.
