In the 1900s the steam engine was the workhorse engine, both common internal combustion engines were "only meant to do light work" like run a pump where it was impractical to use a boiler.
We tuned gas engines, and you can absolutely tune diesel engines, and you can tune electric motors. None of those things were "intended" for being used in racing, they were only intended to move a horseless carriage.
You can't make the argument that diesel is better suited for tractors and not for cars when the reality is that it's simply not true. Especially since if things had been marginally different in the 1920s, ALL cars would be diesel because they are far more efficient and simple to build.
@@DumbAngelDragon Thank you for the info and the mature converstion.
I don't understand why Americans call a liquid gas
Gas is shorten name for gasoline.
Diesel Gate ruined diesels here in the States, and as for the future, we can’t have fun gas-powered weekend sports cars unless we daily drive an electric one. That should help keep our beloved ICEs around a little bit longer.
Like the TDI version of the Audi RSQ8, only available in EU. 4 liter twin turbo V8 TDI. At one point (2009) they made a 6 liter W12 TDI Q7. That would be an amazing engine to have.
@@davidmontroy3408 Agreed.
No lol not the overwatch
Thinking about 2nd electric car or pickup but bet your a** I'm keeping my big block!
Got the like for the DBZ reference. 9,000!!??? 😆
Nah there is more to go wrong in modern diesel engines and costly. Most are turbos so that injection or rails egr dpf blah blah blah I am actually moving back to petrol
Petrol or diesel, stop calling a liquid gas
I have good idea why don't you make a video of the cheapest diesel cars
Because a 2003 Beetle is not something anyone actually wants.
Best value, too!
The first gen Audi A2 is the prius of europe
DIESEL IS KING
This video makes me want to cut my DEF system off my truck

How about comparing burning Coal to Diesel? Because that is what EVs do. They get their power from the Grid, this burns Coal for power.
YO VW HAS ALUMINUM DIESEL ENGINES
And where is the Electric come from...🤣
Diesel better for pulling loads
N tesla ain't the future i rather have another brand than that pos
Future is dark 🌑
Diesel is slow like could get more power out of an Diesel engine buy swapping fuel from diesel to propane and water injection diesel is known for having alot of torque and not having similar horsepower to match that torque so itz really slow 😏but they can be faster if you get the Horsepower up to 1000 or higher 🤷🏼
