I like when you "rant". Your ideas make great sense. I can fruits and veggies when i can buy lcanning.lids. Im going to look into canning meat. I keep enough.on hand for a couple of weeks. We don't eat packaged foods but cook from scratch. The best thing a person can do is learn how to cook.
We are looking into a generator because we get ice storms and are without power for days at a time. I like the idea of being prepared and not having to rely on other people. We sold our house in California paid cash for our house in TN. I have always been prepared. I buy a lot of items when they are on clearance 16 packages of 12 rolls of 2 ply toilet paper for 16.00 I gave some to the grown kids but I won't have to buy it for a while but If I catch it cheap I can buy more.

diesel generators can be made to run on vegetable oil , and can make diesel type fuel from heating plastic. two fuel tanks with swap switch , start on real diesel , then switch to alternative fuel, then switch back to real diesel to flush/clean motor before switching off

The sad truth is, if there were any major reset that managed to put us back into the dark ages, we would all get pretty feral pretty quickly, and nothing short of stocking weapons and large amounts of non perishable food will help you. If it's economical reset, then you should be spreading your assets around, have a bit of everything because you don't know what will have value when everything gets back to some sort of normalcy. Some people are preparing for hyperinflation by buying properties, so when shit hits the fan they can pay their mortgages off with the inflated money.

At the very end of the video when you pick up that awesome box with the gold leg MOSFETs and pins that gold plated thing believe it or not is another type of transistor. I believe it’s called a TO3…? Prior to more powerful IC chips transistors are what got the job done so you will find many different styles and types. Those ones are a nightmare to open a but often have a really nice ball of gold solder under the chip.
If you open it up you will notice it’s a very similar configuration to what you find underneath the Of your dual legged I see chips all over those boards. Basically the same thing with only a couple of output legs
Love the videos been! Have a great day brother

As an IT professional, who has dealt with the healthcare companies (government and private), I can tell you that they use the most outdated and broken systems. There are reasons: first, they always have budgetary problems when it comes to purchasing the new equipment; second, the IT department managers are complete morons; third, there is an unspoken agreement between hackers not to touch the healthcare companies, no matter how broken their systems are.

You might consider getting a natural gas one, assuming you already have natural gas plumbed to your house. No fuel storage and you don't need to worry about the fuel getting old and needing to be rotated every so often. But you would still be reliant on the natural gas to flow. I live in the country and we already have propane tanks for heating and a lot of people get propane generators. We already have the propane here so it makes it easy.

Cyber attacks are one reason why UK powerstations don't have control networks connected to the outside world.
As long as power can be produced, hospitals can keep the lights on and the life support systems operating without the need for networked computers.
One victim of the ransomware attack was my local college. They use Windows via a VDI as it is cheaper than having real computers running stand alone Windows installs. Unfortunately, a student plugged in a pendrive that, unbeknown to them, had the ransomware on.
That was back in April and certain parts of the network still are not working. We can use the VDI terminals, but can't print our work as the network printers are not yet working.

I’ve never used one but I listen to others on RUclips lol anyway, I realize you want a diesel ran generator but, think about getting one that is ran on both types of gas in case diesel isn’t available in the future. You might want to check out pyrolysis, a process whereby you can extract petrol, diesel, gas and oil from plastics. Also, anaerobic digestion to produce your own natural gas (methane) with which you could cook. And alternative ways of electric generation, hydro, wind, solar, gravity. Also consider pedal power using an adapted bike and adapt small appliances (Food: choppers, mixers, smoothie makers), rather than trying to charge a battery to run those appliances. Check out Robert Murray Smith for all your alternative energy needs. He has a brilliant channel. Take care, Poo

That might trade for a bag of vegetables or fruit, so yeah, it's on the right track.
