A fun scrap to watch while having my Sunday morning coffee. The gyroscope looked like a vintage 60s/70s type. I suspect the 1913 was a serial number. Enjoyed the power supply scrap out. Always fun get odd ball things for a change of pace - even if there isn't much scrap value they're fun for something different. No shortage of screws in that bad boy.
Nice little scrap out Ben. Those little half round black things would be transistors. I doubt they would have any precious metals in them worth trying to recover! Love the gyroscope!
This might've been a programmable resistive load. That's what those long golden anodised things are, power resistors. Those copper coils look like contactors / power relays - like a range switch, adding and removing sets of resistors to/from the circuit. Could've been a 1 or 2 kiloWatt box.
Having those things around are kind of like money in the bank. Maybe better, considering what banks are offering for interest. I'm curious. Is there anything stating input/output?
Wow - that was a Great Scrapping Session - we never seen inside a Gyroscope ! Odd Ball Scrapping is soooooo very Exciting indeed ! Great Video and many Cheers from us in QLD !!!!
The way the colored cables are laced and the connector screams 60's to me and in fact on the upper motor has a datecode of 69-2-7. Not an aircraft guy but on the frame under the wire harness it says something like 1303536-2 couldn't make it out but I guess that might be the parts number.
Hello buddy, from Jefferson City , Mo. you got a great channel. Love it and going to watch this one. Been a while since I spun the RUclips clock for you man, I been busy and you too. God bless and keep up the channel dear sir.
Hi Ben,. Just curious and worried... Do you have a Geiger counter... One day I am worried that someone is gonna throw away something radioactive and they won't care (yes can happen) and you will get injured. Maybe it is not a terrible idea just to scan it with a Geiger counter before touching or bringing something to your household. Best! Greetings from Germany!
the giro is nice they start at about £30 to £160 for the useable ones you need control box and gauge wire and clock my interests are energ yI want on to work out how outputs are affected via spinning at differs wave Lenths this unit could be helpful in solving our power problems yours is a demo model all open easy to add stuff to
Hi Ben, I have a load of EPNS cutlery, what do you do with yours? I don't think my scrapyard deals with it , and precious metal dealers don't buy it either, what is majority of metal they contain ? are they mostly nickel ? as some EPNS has black tarnish like silver, some are more yellowish , and some are patchy in colour. These items boggle my mind as some are stamped N.S some say Bengal Silver, Some say Silver Plated, and things live a brand name like Silveroware ! MANY thanks and I enjoy your videos, very educating ;) peace fella
My scrap yard (the same as Ben's) took all my EPNS as brass! It did take some explaining from me as the forklift driver had no idea what EPNS was. Once I told him that I was an antiques dealer and explained that it was an alloy of copper (usually around 60%) plus nickel & zinc - he seemed happy to put it in with the brass. EPNS is electro plated with silver which is why you see the black tarnish. Many pieces have the silver almost completely polished off leaving the alloy base metal which gives a different appearance.
@@TheUltimateRecycler many thanks fella , the scrapyard lads know FA and the gaffer just tries avoiding giving any straight answers. Ahh so basically it is a usual brass alloy with and added amount of nickel //a bit like cupronickel , i guess the nickel content varies before electroplating the alloy with silver, or it appears the silver can be added to the alloy mix itself, id be happy with a brass price :)
hi Ben, intesteind video just always . i had heard about Monica Smit from Melborn, i do beleave, Australia , like Italy , are beaty country , only governament are very bad.

Hey old man

The gyro scope is cool this was an excellent scrap session very interesting thank you for sharing six Stars brother
you better keep that gyroscope. what a nice display piece!
Not sure the right Brothers had gold pins on their gyros in 1913........ 😂
Cool video ben

Great Video Ben Keep Bringing The Video's Dude God Bless You And Your Family 👍👍
That powersupply looks old. Love how they just created a simple circuit board and taped it to the top!
That gyro is not from 1913, the frame might be but electronics are not pre-ww1.
Who knows. Aussies might have been quietly reverse engineering.
Hi ben. Very interesting. Thank you for your teaching. Please take care and stay safe my friend. Talk to you later. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎

The "powersupply" was probably a Electronic Load
Love that gyro, might even still be able to get it working.
The gyro as a typical US construction from 1960's or 70's, 1913 might be the serial number.

That Chicken lol 🤣 for a sec i thought im still drunk lol 🤣

:) The yellow tubes are high current resistors.
1913 - 1919 are Sikorsky part numbers for the CH 53 Helicopter
that big box looks like some kind of a load
Love your videos Ben!
its almost like a UV joint on a prop shaft , with electronics stuck to it
Yay thank you so much😁
Awww it’s so cute to think about Australia’s little military.

That chicken should be named Scrappy 😄
still cool stuff ... aluvice 👍
How do you score a gig with a military contractor?!? That’s my dream as I’m a huge fan of exotic superalloys like titanium stainless and nickel alloys
Great video

love it
these power resistors can sell for good money on eBay, just sell them as lot
Gotta load more videos bro. Once in a blue moon ain't kosher. I actually enjoy your vids....there informational.

In 1913, there was no New Jersey yet. 😁
Nice one buddy
It's probably a dummy load, not a supply. Hence the many resistors.
👍I would keep the Gyroscope 👍
When are you going Street Scarping Again Buddy
👏👏
That was packed with aluminum
Do you not respond to questions about wanting to know about the motherboards
I answer emails, can't keep up with comments
A AEROPLANE HUH not another flat earth proof to add to the ever growing list is it ? 😂😂😂
Do a Christmas give away bro give back to your member s

1913 lol. erm no.
