Thank you so much for sharing this pattern with us. I'm disabled and on limited income. This is a wonderful way that I can still give something to everyone for the holidays. I can personalize each jar with different goodies for each. I'm excited for Christmas already.
This is a wonderful Christmas gift idea (so many possibilities; thinking outside the box and using a different color scheme) and quite easy to make. Thank you for sharing. Respectfully, Donna K.
Beautiful Sara! I remember those candies too! I was born in 73 those candies are wonderful so are the ribbon candies! I'm gonna do these boots as Xmas gifts this year!
Sara thank you so much! You are so thoughtful....this is some of the things I love all rolled up in one!! One its Christmas!! Two its crochet!! Three its free patterns! And four they are old patterns!! A blast from the past...and you are like the cherry on top, lol...you take your time amd thought amd put all of this together for us...and that's the best part!!! Thanks for all the love and dedication and time that you do for us...and did I say free??? Your so awesome!!!❤❤❤💕
Love it another one for the Christmas list of to do love your things for christmas, as live in England different from what we can get here love different things to make . Make great gifts people will love them .
Omgosh I haven't seen on of those kind of booties since I first started crocheting. Back when I was 13. But a little smaller. The lady that taught me how to crochet used small baby jars to put in them.
Can I use the regular granny square stitch I just love that one... Thank you for all the beautiful gifts you come up with... I just love your work.... Thank you.
I made one of those years ago and I've been looking and looking and looking for the pattern thank you so very much for bringing it out I will be making these for family members thank you again for sharing your pattern
Sara you are on fire 🔥 and outdoing yourself with these patterns i love this i will try it hopefully i can do it. I told my hubby im going to need to hire a cleaner and a cook so i can crochet all these goodies 😅😅😅🎅
Thank you Sara! I had forgotten about these cute Christmas booties. My grandma made these back in the late 60's and 70's. She recycled coffee cans as the containers. She would fill them with homemade peanut brittle. These will be fun to make for my daughters and grandkids.
I love your Christmas designs! So sweet of you to share them with us. I’m one of 9 and this year my siblings are going to get an adorable Christmas Boot filled with my Momma’s recipe for Divinity or Fudge. She also made great Burbon Balls! 🥴. Thank you for all your sweet designs!!
I absolutely love this and I remember this from my younger years too! Great idea for insert and thank you so much for your time and work to do this for us!
Can you use a smaller wt yarn so it's not so large to use as a Christmas ornament? I love vintage Christmas items and this is a way to keep these patterns for future crocheters.
Hi, where are the notes, under the video? Great idea, to use other colors., for non x-mas. Need wide mouth 32 oz jar, with lid, Option use wide mouth jar of recycled mayo, peanut butter, etc. Like your resources of inexpensive substitutes for inside the boot ( not the yarn).
My squares are not as large as yours, they're 3 inch squares. I used size 4 worsted weight yarn and an H hook...🤔 I used Mary Maxim Starlette in emerald, Caron Simply Soft in red sparkle and Yarn Bee soft & Sleek white sparkle. Wish I could send you pictures.
As a beginner, Making the slip not is the hardest part, and after chain row, the first row sometimes hard to see the chain. I would need a slower motion of how - To do Double crochet!!
Omg I have this pattern it’s 35 yrs old. What is old is new again.
Nice job thank u.
Is the pattern you have made of granny squares or just made in rounds

Can you make the larger and taller and stiffing it with something to make it a free standing gift holder stocking for placing around the tree?
Not sure, never tried it. Sounds interesting though.
Can you use a smaller wt yarn so it's not so large to use as a Christmas ornament? I love vintage Christmas items and this is a way to keep these patterns for future crocheters.
I have not tried it with smaller yarns.
@@SaraSach thank you...I was just curious.
Love it
Thank you this pattern. I’m You can use it as a toilet tissue holder. I love this
HI SARA, I HAVE A FEW SUGGESTION FOR THE VINTAGE CHRISTMAS BOOTS CROCHET PATTERN INTO A BABY BOOTIES OR ADULT BOOTIES
Hi, where are the notes, under the video?
Great idea, to use other colors., for non x-mas. Need wide mouth 32 oz jar, with lid, Option use wide mouth jar of recycled mayo, peanut butter,
etc. Like your resources of inexpensive substitutes for inside the boot ( not the yarn).
click the arrow or where it says see more under the video.
SARA , I'm looking for a pattern for a Christmas tree topper " ANGEL" do you have one? None of the ones I have liked are in ENGLISH. Vickie
No I do not. Sorry. I have seen a few here on youtube, though.
You go up a hook size if you want them bigger. I probably have a looser tension than you.
@@SaraSach thank you...I may try that if you think my squares are too small.
As a beginner, Making the slip not is the hardest part, and after chain row, the first row sometimes hard to see the chain.
I would need a slower motion of how - To do Double crochet!!
You can slow the video down as well as pause it.
