I really sympathize with the last concern. I couldn't go to college either because my parents kept spending thousands of dollars despite all my pleas and protests to get them to stop. I work, so I'm not relying solely on them but even with financial aid and scholarships there is so much to cover that I couldn't afford it alone. It may have seemed like the daughter was very harsh and unfeeling but keep in mind these feelings span over decade. It's a very hurtful and intense thing to feel when you can't even rely on your parents (who are supposed to support and love you in every way) especially for a child. I'm disappointed that not many people could empathize with the daughter, though I understand more effort could have been put into creating a stronger relationship with her mother. However, when you can't rely on someone with something like money (which affects your livelihood) it's very hard to trust that person with anything else, let alone your emotions like love. Something tells me that when the daughter was living in China, even though she had her aunt and uncle, she had to raise herself up on her own. It's probably what led to her being a very harsh, "unkindly"-speaking woman since she had to grow up strong all alone. I think that she has more issues beyond her problems with her mother that she needs to resolve if she wants to build better relationships in general.
The first story totally had me in tears from the get go. Something I learned a long time ago is that relatives are the ones you have a genetic tie to but family doesn't have to be blood....they just have to be in your heart. I have 3 brothers I adopted (two older and one younger) like she adopted her dad. People are so cruel nowadays and should think before they speak. Words like that hurt and is so rude. Why would it matter if she had parents or not to get a job? I am really close with my brothers and I wouldn't have it any other way. If I ever meet this girl I will give her a huge hug and tell her she can call me unnie anytime.

It was a really tough period for me but I guess the girl had it worst than me because she said she had some bad memories while living with her mom's brother and sister-in-law.
I sort of understand the daughter on the 3rd concern. My mother was a single mother who worked really hard to provide for my brother and I. However, even though she has provided for me financially, I don't have any memories of her being there emotionally. Growing up, I barely saw her because she left before I woke up and came back when I was asleep, so I basically had to raise myself. I also don't have a father, so I have always felt like I was never really taken cared of. Sometimes parents get too caught up in providing for their kids financially they forget to show them love. I still believe in being respectful to your parents no matter what, though. Of course I'm not a perfect daughter, but I try my best to be grateful for what I've been given.

It has to do with Korea's culture... It is the 21st century but they still talk about households and ancestry. Plus, employers want to know what kind of family you come from. They are hella judgy and try to see if your parents have good income and life skills and they use your parents to judge your own skills (which shouldnt be the case)

Just because he is a male it doesn't require him to cater to her needs, be overly considerate of her, OR TO PAY FOR HER MEALS. That first concern is something serious. I know people who have said things like that because of something the person they were snubbing couldn't control. Now that I'm 21 all I want to do is something, anything that can help children who get bullied over things they can't possibly control- especially irresponsible parents. All bullying did was turn me into a reclusive depressed person. The second concern had me rolling at first but then I got irritated too. People with high metabolisms eat a lot especially working with small kids? Snack time+nap time+free time= eating time. So he says he has no issue with the amount okay but if your just taking whatever you want to eat all the time, shifting the blame to him and not letting him order on his own or be diffrent- what else are you trying to control him in??? 49:09 LOVE CHANWOO MAN The third concern lmfao they got her a date but no seriously my Grandmother was like that too. How much money has she wasted on our useless family members and they never pay her back? How many of her friends have taken things or borrowed (One of they a family friend I actually grew up like another daughter to her) large sums of money continuously and continuously not paid her back? I think if I had lived with my grandmother during that time I would have sighed and been frustrated and more upset then I am now. So I feel her on a very personal level.
3rd concern: I understand she didn't grow up with her mom but I'm sure her grandmother raised her well. she definitely should know how to love but she seems cold towards her mom when they hugged. I also understand her concerned about mom being too gullible, but she needs to open up more.
I understand that she needs to open up more or make the first move, but I think she is expecting a mother to want her as much as she wants her mom but her mother is not showing it. The girl just wants love and I don't think she sees the effort her mom is putting in. They both need to work on things.
You can't be sure that her grandmother raised her well just because there're blood like in the first concern she is living with her grandmother but she doesn't feel like they're family and she is receiving love from someone else. But the girl from the third concern isn't receiving the love from her mother and her concerns when she was at China was falling upon deaf ears; the daughter probably thinks that she is the last one on the list on people her mom cares about since she gives 10,000 to practically strangers, she spends 8,000 on scams, she gives gifts and money to the people who treated her badly yet she doesn't want to help paying for her education. She can't help but feel cold towards her mother.

The fact of the matter is that she kept saying "if he loves her then he will understand her". It goes both ways sister. I was crying so hard when I hear the first story because I know how it feel. My parents divorced last year and now I'm living with my mom. I know how it feel when people badmouthing you about your parents. It's hurts so much. My parents always argue and almost divorced many times in past in now they really divorced. I always feel like this world hate me. I want to have a happy family like other too, I want to for a walk with my family, go for a picnic and go to dinner together but we can't every time we go out together my parents will argue. I'm sick of it. People tell me that I'm so strong but only my pillow know how much I cry every day. And now I end up depressed and almost kill myself many times.

My mother was around but she worked most of the time. So, I got pushed to other people or stayed alone most of the time. I'm glad I'm only 18 and still have enough time to make up with her. i know it’s none of my business but it’s really upsetting to hear about kids who are left with family that don’t take care of them. i feel like there’s a lot of stuff the daughter needs to talk with her mom about. it only leaves me thinking of the worst case scenarios. when she said she didn’t know how to love, she said it with such sincerity. and when they were making up in the end, she still didn’t hug her mom back until the MCs moved her arms. her past really worries me and i hope people don’t think she’s just being selfish or something.

How did we go from a sweet, heartfelt first concern about a girl & her adoptive father, that made me cry tears of happiness for them, to the second concern of a selfish, gluttonous girlfriend that is literally sucking the life out of her poor, patient boyfriend? I basically went from happy to angry in literal minutes.
Girl you are hella thin, get to eat as much as you want, and have an attractive boyfriend like be grateful. Taking people's food without asking and not letting others chose what they want to eat is just plain selfish and rude. Be more grateful for what and who you have.
That first story was really sweet but i wish they'd explained the parent situation a bit more (although i guess it's an emotional subject). How did she end up in care when her parents divorced? Unless the laws are different in Korea? Because over here, you can't just say 'nah sorry i don't want my kid anymore', you have a legal responsibility unless you're judged as an unfit parent. So i'm really curious as to how that whole situation came about.
Third concern is same as my life, once I've been hate my mom so much that she doesn't give me enough love. But now I can understand what she been through 🤧 I haven't seen my mom for 5years 🤧🤧😭😭😭now I miss her so much and I hope I can understand her more at the times were together 😭

They are hella judgy and try to see if your parents have good income and life skills and they use your parents to judge your own skills (which shouldnt be the case)
The guy in the second concern deserves a better girlfriend. This girl is so inconsiderate, selfish, and sexist! Just because he is a male it doesn't require him to cater to her needs, be overly considerate of her, OR TO PAY FOR HER MEALS. Even paying 50/50 would seem unfair to me considering she eats the majority of the food! She should be at least somewhat considerate and apologetic but it doesn't seem like she even feels guilty about it.
You have to understand that this roots from the social norm for Koreans. Of course this is an extreme case but you can thank k-dramas for that XD

That first concern is something serious. I know people who have said things like that because of something the person they were snubbing couldn't control. Now that I'm 21 all I want to do is something, anything that can help children who get bullied over things they can't possibly control- especially irresponsible parents. All bullying did was turn me into a reclusive depressed person.
The second concern had me rolling at first but then I got irritated too. People with high metabolisms eat a lot especially working with small kids? Snack time+nap time+free time= eating time. So he says he has no issue with the amount okay but if your just taking whatever you want to eat all the time, shifting the blame to him and not letting him order on his own or be diffrent- what else are you trying to control him in??? 49:09 LOVE CHANWOO MAN
The third concern lmfao they got her a date but no seriously my Grandmother was like that too. How much money has she wasted on our useless family members and they never pay her back? How many of her friends have taken things or borrowed (One of they a family friend I actually grew up like another daughter to her) large sums of money continuously and continuously not paid her back? I think if I had lived with my grandmother during that time I would have sighed and been frustrated and more upset then I am now. So I feel her on a very personal level.
3rd concern: I understand she didn't grow up with her mom but I'm sure her grandmother raised her well. she definitely should know how to love but she seems cold towards her mom when they hugged. I also understand her concerned about mom being too gullible, but she needs to open up more.
I understand that she needs to open up more or make the first move, but I think she is expecting a mother to want her as much as she wants her mom but her mother is not showing it. The girl just wants love and I don't think she sees the effort her mom is putting in. They both need to work on things.
It was her aunt, and we don't know how her rearing with them was. She said she had bad memories. Why do you doubt her?
You can't be sure that her grandmother raised her well just because there're blood like in the first concern she is living with her grandmother but she doesn't feel like they're family and she is receiving love from someone else. But the girl from the third concern isn't receiving the love from her mother and her concerns when she was at China was falling upon deaf ears; the daughter probably thinks that she is the last one on the list on people her mom cares about since she gives 10,000 to practically strangers, she spends 8,000 on scams, she gives gifts and money to the people who treated her badly yet she doesn't want to help paying for her education. She can't help but feel cold towards her mother.

I can bet how much of the $1000 prize the girlfriend is going to get. Lose the baggage .. and I am not being harsh nor petty. The fact of the matter is that she kept saying "if he loves her then he will understand her". It goes both ways sister. If she loved him she should make the attempt to show him consideration at the least. He shouldn't be the only one in the relationship to make sacrifices. Now on to the last concern, it broke my heart. I can understand both of them. Mom made huge sacrifices and the daughter was left without a mom for so many years. There is no winner in this situation.

I was crying so hard when I hear the first story because I know how it feel. My parents divorced last year and now I'm living with my mom. I know how it feel when people badmouthing you about your parents. It's hurts so much. My parents always argue and almost divorced many times in past in now they really divorced. I always feel like this world hate me. I want to have a happy family like other too, I want to for a walk with my family, go for a picnic and go to dinner together but we can't every time we go out together my parents will argue. I'm sick of it. People tell me that I'm so strong but only my pillow know how much I cry every day. And now I end up depressed and almost kill myself many times.

The first one was super sad and I'm glad he adopted her and treats her like his own family. I cried. The second story about the girlfriend...like gwad is she a b-i-t-c-h. So self-centered and he treats her so well. I would guess she would be different becaus she's a teacher but damn. no. I related mostly to the last story. My mother was around but she worked most of the time. So, I got pushed to other people or stayed alone most of the time. I'm glad I'm only 18 and still have enough time to make up with her. i know it’s none of my business but it’s really upsetting to hear about kids who are left with family that don’t take care of them. i feel like there’s a lot of stuff the daughter needs to talk with her mom about. it only leaves me thinking of the worst case scenarios. when she said she didn’t know how to love, she said it with such sincerity. and when they were making up in the end, she still didn’t hug her mom back until the MCs moved her arms. her past really worries me and i hope people don’t think she’s just being selfish or something.

How did we go from a sweet, heartfelt first concern about a girl & her adoptive father, that made me cry tears of happiness for them, to the second concern of a selfish, gluttonous girlfriend that is literally sucking the life out of her poor, patient boyfriend? I basically went from happy to angry in literal minutes.

That first story was really sweet but i wish they'd explained the parent situation a bit more (although i guess it's an emotional subject). How did she end up in care when her parents divorced? Unless the laws are different in Korea? Because over here, you can't just say 'nah sorry i don't want my kid anymore', you have a legal responsibility unless you're judged as an unfit parent. So i'm really curious as to how that whole situation came about.
Third concern is same as my life, once I've been hate my mom so much that she doesn't give me enough love. But now I can understand what she been through 🤧 I haven't seen my mom for 5years 🤧🤧😭😭😭now I miss her so much and I hope I can understand her more at the times were together 😭
