The human brain can only take so much before it needs to unplug and focus on own life. IT doesn't mean you are a bad person at all. That you even feel this way means you have a good heart.

Later they'll offer to help 'rebuild' Gaza and increase their profits that way ... and we are expected to ignore it all on the basis of 'self-defense', but this is genocide of a whole generation of civilians who were already destitute and living miserable lives under occupation and controlled by another state. They want us to forget that by smearing us all as terrorist-sympathisers, which is rubbish. I have every sympathy with the wanton destruction and killing on both sides, but that does not mean I can't also see the wider picture of one state oppressing the human rights of millions of desperate people who have nowhere else to go.
If we buy that we can't have an impact on theory policies about such things we're ensuring they get away with it scott-free and allowing Israel to violate the human rights of millions of people, as well as flatten Gaza to deliberately make it impossible for their return, but kill them in droves under the banner of 'eradicating Hamas'. If anything, they are sparking more hatred and antisemitism and ensuring a whole generation of Palestinian to see that noone in the world respects THEIR right to exist peacefully, or live in any kind of stability with equal rights. It'a precisely because they lack a voice that it is necessary for people who see the inhumanity occurring to call it out for what it is - an oppressive occupation, the stealing of land, the genocidal slaughter of innocent civilians and the deliberate starving and dehydration of millions of people. You aren't allowed to do that to a dog, but apparently it is ok to let this happen to them , "nothing to see here". But there is a whole lot to see & we are witnessing it. A whoke generation if people ferling traumatised by watching the instead fron this supposed 'war' & they want you to shrug your shoulders and accept it is 'necessary destruction'. Self-defense sounds a hell of a lot nicer than 'slaughter of thousands of innocent civilians and the starving and humiliation of an entire country /ethnic group'. Precisely because the perpetrators were once on the receiving end of a horrifying holocaust should be all the more reaaon that they dlshould understand why this is wholly uncivilised behaviour. Meting out the same type of behaviour makes it ten times worse. If I am abused it doesn't give me the right to abuse others.
I hope that this conflict ends soon, & that there is an honest effort to gain a lasting peace and a solution that allows both sides the dignity, safety and rights of both citizens to live in in equality & harmony. This is not the way to bring about peace, though.
