Actually, some of the song translations took liberties and ended up slightly changing the nuance of the song. Like the French versions of Whatever It Takes and You Didn't Know.
But, yeah, localizations are cool.

Dubbing is not a one on one process of translation, it's about culturally bringing a thing from language to another, maybe the joke wouldn't sound natural if literally translated.

@@JoaquinAugusto I do understand what you're saying but as a french person i can say that nobody would've used this choice of words, french already is hard enough like it is you don't need to add more complexity. But the french (France) translation is definitely not good, we lack good voice actors and the translation isn't really thought of for most (i do love alastor's lines in french, for once it's a good voice over and the translation isn't all that bad, same for adam).

Sono molto contento che gli adattatori non abbiano usato un anglicismo e abbiano detto "macchina da presa". La parola "camera" è italiana e significa "stanza". Sono state le altre lingue a prenderla in prestito per identificare la cosidetta "camera buia" che non era altro che un prototipo di fotocamera. Da lì si è poi diffuso agli apparecchi fotografici moderni.
