I love Darcy! I have a B6 Desmond which is a buttery red-brown leather. It was a limited edition but you can still catch them on BST groups. I use a Wonderland 222 planner and a Tomoe River insert as a journal. I’d say the wonderland is about the same size as the stalogy and works well with one other insert.

Thanks, Kristen! I am definitely going to order one of those Wonderland 222 planners and check it out. I appreciate the info!

Thanks! I agree about the Mr. Darcy leather. It seems like it will just continue to get better and better with age.

Love that Darcy! It’s such a rich brown. The Tea House Chai is lovely too, but the Darcy/Austen line is by far my favorite. I trained the spine on mine to square off around the inserts so it feels great to hold-just like the feel of a vintage book. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Milyy! It's good to know that over time the spine on the Austen Mr. Darcy can take shape and become more squared off- that should make it feel even better. I can't wait to see how the leather ages.

Love the color.🥰 In regards to pens have you looked at Retro 51? They are great non fountain pens. Many of them have a theme that you may like. If not pick your favorite color. For fountain pens I recommend the Diplomat Magnum. If you purchase one from Goulet Pens, they include the converter. This gives you the option to use ink cartridges or bottled ink. Also certain times of the year they will offer a free bottle of Monteverdi ink with the purchase of a pen. Good deal for a $20 pen.

Thanks for the recommendations, Terri! I actually have a Retro 51 Tornado pen on my Amazon wish list that I'm considering buying (the P-51 WWII plan design one!) And I will definitely check-out the Diplomat Magnum. That looks like a good starter fountain pen. Thanks!

I prefer a ballpoint with the Tomoe River because I don't have to wait for it to dry. That being said I do journal with a Sarasa Mark on .5 & the smearage isn't too bad. I have a b6 slim Maverick & I also use the Paper Penguin co notebooks. I just use the Tomoe River notebooks in the grid & draw out my "planner" more bullet journal, but also not bullet journal style.

Oh, I LOVE the Maverick leather! I've been searching the Chic Sparrow website and haven't seen any of those available. But I don't see it listed as a Retired leather either. Hope I can find one someday... the character on those is amazing. And thanks for the recommendations on pens. I would like to try the Zebra Sarasa Mark On.

@@JustinSpeer they don't make the deluxe version anymore, so you could only get it in the classic style, which bums me out, but I've had most of mine for literal years. there are other leather makers that use the same type of leather. I have one from Linden tree Leather that is nice, not my favorite, but a decent alternative. I'm also hoping that there was enough of a demand for her to bring back the Scout, which was the Maverick leather with crème cascade pockets, it sold out in like 2 seconds so I wasn't able to get one. Maybe that's why it's not on her site right now? Hopefully!!

Hi. Just bumped into your video and have never seen that type of pen. I would have liked to see you test especially after you said that the two papers felt different. Other than that, though, good video.

Thanks, K. Bowser! I appreciate the recommendation. I am planning to do a video soon on different pen tests (with different paper types.)
