Why do they need to de-identify all of the images? Does this only need to be done when the images are being stored? Wouldn't you need to know whose image you're viewing for diagnostic purposes?
You don't de-identify every image. You do it only for a particular use case which is collecting data for research purposes (as stated in the presentation but briefly).
