I had a friend. Six years ago, she died of effin cancer at age 32. The last song she shared on her fb profile shortly before she died was this one. Every time I listen to it I think of her and her little lonely life and can't help crying.

Why do I drown in nostalgia with a heavy heart, each time I here this song and see the video?
Makes me want to go outside and cherish life with all of it's beauty, together with my loved ones,
knowing that our time will end one day and everything that remains will be the sweet memories and remains of what we once were a long time ago...

Charles is my grandson, I am so proud of him! Love you Charles your Geega misses you.
My interpretation is that the adult is showing the child how to live, after being starved of a childhood himself. He is either guiding another, perhaps his own kin, or making peace with his own broken past--showing that there is a life to experience beyond the mess that was his upbringing.

I think he was the little boy himself and looks into his past .. and finally accepts what he always felt. - Maybe that's why he burns his girlfriends' clothes.
Exactly the same came to my mind on the first scenes, he meets his abandoned past, and actually he is playing with his own memories.
