@@MrJollyjumper99 Not Pulk Pull or Fast Track? I mean, by that logic of being played just once, there are like 10 most inaccessible songs, including Gagging Order which is a very standard acoustic song.
all band the smiling and clapping, looks likethey are all enjoying being up on stage recreating and reenvisioning the sound of their album tracks live. dark song, they are into it. brilliant
It's so beautiful Kid A, some travel to the unknown beautiful lands in mountains far away from the society; an excelent version of Kid A, it's respectable, one of the best song of Radiohead, Everything In Its Right Place, hasn't a good live version becuase the original studio quality it's not comparable or near of to be comparable, they need to made better versions live if that and more live versions of Kud A
I’ll never forget hearing an early stream of Kid A. I was a huge fan starting with Pablo Honey and the Bends, but OKC was just mind blowing - I was so excited to see where’d they’d go next. My Buddy and I put on headphones, and listened to Kid A front to back without pausing or speaking. Twice. The only thing I said after it ended, was “......again?” Then the SNL performance happened. I honestly thought Kid A was basically a Sgt Pepper’s type deal, that at least a few songs just wouldn’t be able to be properly replicated live. We were all guessing what they’d play on SNL, and we all thought it HAD to be Optimistic, How To Disappear, In Limbo, MAYBE Morning Bell. You have to understand this was before the album had come out. So for most people this was the introduction to the next album. When SNL started, and you could see the horn section for National Anthem, and the drum machine for Idioteque, I couldn’t fucking believe they were doing the two most difficult pieces from that album on live tv. SNL is famous for having terrible live sound, but man. I still go back and watch that SNL performance of Idioteque. God those were the best of times.
Anyone notice in this video how Thom's chest looks nice with just the right amount of muscle? I'm breathless...*faints dead away* Don't get me wrong. I love there music first, but I REALLY DO ENJOY THE EYE CANDY! Love you Thom Yorke and Radiohead!
I find it a bit interesting that practically a month and a half later, the only thing kept from this arrangement is Clive's drumming while the rest of the band play it like they usually did previously.
Did you go to the concert in Houston on March the third? Got one off of Kid A and two off of Ok Computer. If I had gotten three off of The Bends, Ok, and Kid A, I'd have been a happy camper.. and instead I was just a pretty satisfied camper.
^they played three songs off of every album since OK Computer in Glendale on TKOL tour. What more do you want? If you want to hear High and Dry, go listen to High and Dry. There's absolutely no reason they should still be playing anything off The Bends.
When I went to their concert I was kind of upset that they didn't play more of Ok Computer/ The Bends, but their older stuff is great too. Concerts are more of a go to experience to dance around and whatnot, but when I went to the Radiohead concert, I was more complacent by sitting and watching. It was awesome, but yeah, they could have done better by adding in older songs at some parts. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it
I used to think the same, but I started to like it. The older versions of this song are better (2003-2006), because thom sang without the annoying distortion in his voice (and, at that time, he wasn't out of tune so often). PD: Idk if you remember me, but I gave black holes and revelations another oportunity, and it's awesome!
Joaquín Silva No sorry i dont remember you. Black Holes is a fantastic album. I like a new radiohead album since we probably spoke last. Its Hail to the Thief!! Very nice record
Yep, it's one of my fav. I recommend you to try with in rainbows, it's very good and nothing like kid a or amnesiac, but it doesn't have much strong guitars like in hail to the thief.
1:50 Ed thinks to himself "man, it's so great being in this band".
At the time this song was 12 years old. Now this performance is 12 years old. Wow
I always love to come back here to see middle aged Thom dance with a tambourine. LOL
Best song on Kid A by a fucking mile.
Counter-argument: How to Disappear Completely
This song is still top 3 for sure tho

For them to have the balls to pull this song of live is incredible. By far their least accseible song, but a highlight on Kid A.
try spinning plates
DrewDawg94 pull/pulk?
Glasshouse is the least accessible. They've only ever played it once live lol
DrewDawg94 Tried Fast Track?

this version sounds much more lush compared to the studio version
Yeah, they've been perfecting it since album release... Or even maybe since after finishing it

I completely agree, I think many people who loved Kid a would agree to this
By far the best live performance I've seen recorded by someone in the audience :)
I love how they translate their electronic songs to instrumented love songs.
my one year old daughter and I dance to this together!
Hope you are still dancing 🤘
🥰 she is so lucky
Haha! Love when Thom does the quick voice effect test in the beginning, the guy in the crowd goes, "Yes!"
He knew what was coming.
Come On Kids
Wish they played this when I saw em. They played Meeting In The Aisle which was a real surprise
Thom's keyboard/synth/whatever is autotuning his voice based on the key he's holding. That's GENIOUS!
+Kim Philipp Möllgaard Yeah dude, it's basically a vocoder being played in real-time! Pretty cool stuff
that's how vocoders work??
that's how all vocoders work...
that thing is a vocoder and it's been around since kraftwerk popularized it way before you were born
Daft Punk use that a lot
I like the live version more than the album version!
I tend to agree, even more organic. The got inside the song after discovering how to play it live.
How the hell did they make this song stand out even more live! Probably one of my favourite performances by them :)
oh so soothing and beautiful...
Nunca me imaginé este tema en vivo
Radiohead siempre sorprendiendo!
I want to learn how to wiggle my hips like Thom
man, the beat, drums and keys here blow the album version out of the water
I never knew they performed this song live. Those vocals are amazing haha
can't get enough from this song
Best version
This is by far, the best live version of Kid A.
Thanks for the upload! This is such an awesome song and they do it so much justice here. A welcome distraction to uni work.
This performance of this song is why I love Radiohead.
Oh this is just fantastic, pure and simple
Love this song! Finally they're playing it live properly.
This song is like if Minecraft had depression
Such a great version! Come on kids!!!!!

Gracias !
I went to this show! Loved it

Grabbed early version from Napster when Napster was the program at that time
beautiful
this song should be played live in very dark scene with litlle blue lights popping up.
THIS IS SO BAD ASS!

@ItsRainingDonuts Almost, yeah.. but that ponytail is absolute jazz.
spectacular
I like this better than the record. It sounds fuller.
Only fresh song on KID A when it came out and now.

Also no reason why nkt
Looks like Thom's got some new toys
Although the sound was taken from the air, it sounds fantastic.
Saw them play How to Disappear in Kansas City. I might have traded that for this
wow
I saw them perform this last night but Thom did not use a vocoder this time.
This is like the only one where he used it
What kind of a madman puts this on a record and then comes in a live show and performs that...oh...

How to play a live version of kid a? Can someone help to find totorial or sheet?

he's starting to look a little like Richard D James ;)
:(
It doesn't help their setlists have been kinda shit this tour.
That might be the worst logic I've ever seen...
This version sucks
such a bad track. Only radiohead can get away with this. Another artist played this they would be booed of the stage
