Good review & good criticism. I was quite negative on this set initially, but it has grown on me (a lot) and I’ll be picking one up. I’m familiar with some buildings built in the early 1900’s which have been subsequently repurposed. Having to go to a random outside stairwell to get back inside isn’t all that uncommon.
I find it funny that I was also thinking this would look good next to Corner Garage. Probably to the left of it. It is also interesting how similar this set is to Corner Garage in terms of general response. Lots of backlash for a set with lots of charm. But just like the Garage, this one comes after a masterpiece, the Boutique Hotel. Personally, I like it, but I don’t know if I love it quite yet. I think I’d love it in person, but it’s doesn’t have the same “oomph” as recent additions upon first glance. Still, I will try to get it as it’s got some pop in its colors that would compliment my other sets.
@@lkanety if you like modular buildings then it is a very good build. Especially since it’s newer and good instructions and a good build pacing, I would say go for it. If you don’t have Modular’s then there’s maybe a few more that should take your money first before they retire, like the Assembly Square, book shop, police station
@@lkanety also if you are a marvel fan the blank panther bust is on sale right now at lego.com from 350 to 210 right now, so that’s a crazy value at the moment
Let me know what you think about the newest modular building!

Should I get this one or the hotel?

It’s not my favorite modular building, but it it’s not bad.
An incredibly polarizing set but definitely worth consideration.
Yes definitely. It will likely be less polarizing as time goes on, but at launch, definitely.
It looks really cool! Nice review!
