- Soldiers from the Mercian Regiment, 1st Battalion paraded on Thursday, November 11 - Remembrance Day in Chester, England after arriving back home from their tour of duty in Afghanistan. The 1st Battalion recruits troops mainly from Cheshire, Wirral and parts of Greater Manchester. The regiment lost 12 men during the tour.
