    Trent Dilfer is 1st and foremost a teacher/coach that's why I believe he's toiling away at Lipscomb Academy instead of making millions in a NFL booth. Dilfer just said that in the red zone because the field is so much shorter the refs see much more. I've been watching the NFL for many years and I have never heard someone explain the red zone penalty dynamic. Makes a whole heap of sense.

  • @wimsele
    @wimsele 2 года назад +3

    Every season is unique in the NFL as Teams improve or decline. Bengals must improve in all phases and departments to have a chance to win the AFC and return to the SB. All Players, Coaches, Front office and Ownership must commit 💯% to improving and upgrading... Easy to say, tough to actually do.

  • @theFORCEismyallie
    @theFORCEismyallie 2 года назад +20

    The Rams give away their first round draft picks for stars because they know that they can find roll players in the later rounds. They are very good at finding gems in the 3rd and 4th round that they can develop. Which is why I think the Rams could be a dynasty in the making, if they can keep the team together.

    Trent's perspective makes you think, and I like that. He fits right in with the type of people Rich likes for his show. Now, do I agree with everything he said? No. I do think the Bengals' climb up the ladder to the AFC championship will be harder in 2022, but they have momentum. They absolutely, positively have to protect Burrow with a better offensive line. That's need #1. Getting Ja'Marr Chase turned out to be gold, but the front office was second-guessed even about that because of the o-line need. Now it's imperative.

    The rams haven't changed any paradigms. They built this team up then went from build mode to buy mode.
    A quality team will go through that stage. It's a matter of what you can buy and how they turn out.
    Eventually they will reach sell mode so they can get some picks.

    I usually agree with Trent dilfer, but he basically said the bengals were lucky to get to the super bowl, even though the rams got there because of Todd Bowles calling a blitz for absolutely no reason, and the 49ers DBs dropping a basically game ending INT, doesn’t make any sense to me, also the bengals literally were 2/2 against the chiefs this season yet he says the chiefs win that game “8 or 9 out of 10 times” like what the hell are you talking about lol

  • @cullenwainscott2842
    @cullenwainscott2842 2 года назад +2

    Trent Dilfer lol…Bengals we’re undefeated against the AFC playoff field. They beat the Steelers, Raiders and Chiefs, twice this year. They have 60+ Million in cap space + at least 7 draft picks. Burrow was the #1 rated QB in the league when given a clean pocket this year. Are they going to get back to the Super Bowl every year no probably not but they have their top 3 WR, Mixon and Burrow under contract through 2024. If they can cobble together a middle of the road Oline alone they will be better. The Rams will be a different team next year, guaranteed. Bengals have a better shot of getting back than the Rams do especially if Donald hangs it up.

    Stafford is a decent QB but far far from a HoF qb Hell right now Rodger as good as he is with only 1 ring is only just over the line for a HoF qb. Brady has reset the era for what a Hof QB is and that now means multipul rings not one and a billion yards thats just not good enough anymore.

    See that's a bunch of BS. That is 2 NFL lifetime guys covering and whitewashed for the NFL. Florio doesn't do that. He challenges BS like poor officiating. This was yes corporate men. Calls were missed all game. Ramsey got away with 2 holds or PI's so the facemask was leveling the field. The calls at the end were horrible. They gave the rams 10 shots at the endzone. No one was going to cover kupp 10 out of 10 times. I'm actually stunned the bengals put up that good of a fight. If they hold just one flag at the end bengals win. They literally handed the rams the game. Such a let down after such a competitive game.

It's kinda hilarious if you think about it that Marino break all the passing records but never won a Superbowl.
