LA Rams won the Superbowl, finally, in the 56th year of the competition. In their own stadium, in the first year the stadium was open for fans. This feat will never be duplicated. YES, IT WAS WORTH IT!
The Rams give away their first round draft picks for stars because they know that they can find roll players in the later rounds. They are very good at finding gems in the 3rd and 4th round that they can develop. Which is why I think the Rams could be a dynasty in the making, if they can keep the team together.
Trent's perspective makes you think, and I like that. He fits right in with the type of people Rich likes for his show. Now, do I agree with everything he said? No. I do think the Bengals' climb up the ladder to the AFC championship will be harder in 2022, but they have momentum. They absolutely, positively have to protect Burrow with a better offensive line. That's need #1. Getting Ja'Marr Chase turned out to be gold, but the front office was second-guessed even about that because of the o-line need. Now it's imperative.
Winning when losing players and being wrecked by Covid was a really defining moment for the Rams. They just kept fighting and being relentless - lead by McVay, Donald, Von Miller, Stafford and Kupp.
If Stafford plays another 3 or 4 years as he has played the first 13 years of his career, he will be in the top five in all quarterback categories. That is HOF status for certain.
Trent Dilfer is 1st and foremost a teacher/coach that's why I believe he's toiling away at Lipscomb Academy instead of making millions in a NFL booth. Dilfer just said that in the red zone because the field is so much shorter the refs see much more. I've been watching the NFL for many years and I have never heard someone explain the red zone penalty dynamic. Makes a whole heap of sense.
The Bengals will be faced with something new next season that they aren't use too....It can make a huge difference and that's playing a 1st place schedule....
Ive never heard of Trent Dilfer but this interview actually made me tear up with the absolute honesty of the situation, and the truth of what actually happened. And the future of what the NFL is to become.
Every season is unique in the NFL as Teams improve or decline. Bengals must improve in all phases and departments to have a chance to win the AFC and return to the SB. All Players, Coaches, Front office and Ownership must commit 💯% to improving and upgrading... Easy to say, tough to actually do.
How many years did people say Detroit had no weapons and people said “but he had negation” cupp is amazing and stafford did exactly what was expected. Win a super bowl
The rams haven't changed any paradigms. They built this team up then went from build mode to buy mode. A quality team will go through that stage. It's a matter of what you can buy and how they turn out. Eventually they will reach sell mode so they can get some picks.
@@yeongkeenyap1064 yeah he is hall of fame worthy. He has 34 comebacks which is 5th all time. He will most likely be in the top 5 in all major passing categories when he retires. And now he has a Super Bowl ring.
@@yeongkeenyap1064 haha funny because Petyon Manning and Tom Brady are 1 and 2 in the comeback territory. The lions are a terrible franchise. It's funny that Stafford leaves and wins a Super Bowl. People can hate all they want. He will be in the Hall when he retires
Not even close the Bucs did what the chiefs wanted to do get the goat of the generation and try to win a bowl not even remotely close to the rams who trading a qb that went to the Super Bowl for a qb that had even won a playoff game
Stafford is thinking three is the number. He'd like 4 or 5 or more. 2 is realistic and you hope for it. 3 is good and reachable. You can get more than 2.
Dear Trent, there's a guy named Joe Gibbs who won three rings with teams a lot worse than these Rams. As in NO SUPERSTARS except Art Monk and Darrell Green. Sincerely, Old School.
Stafford has never led the league in any QB statistical category other than interceptions... He is NOT a hall of fame QB... He's a good QB and he'll have a great career
Trent Dilfer lol…Bengals we’re undefeated against the AFC playoff field. They beat the Steelers, Raiders and Chiefs, twice this year. They have 60+ Million in cap space + at least 7 draft picks. Burrow was the #1 rated QB in the league when given a clean pocket this year. Are they going to get back to the Super Bowl every year no probably not but they have their top 3 WR, Mixon and Burrow under contract through 2024. If they can cobble together a middle of the road Oline alone they will be better. The Rams will be a different team next year, guaranteed. Bengals have a better shot of getting back than the Rams do especially if Donald hangs it up.
Beating the steelers and raiders wasn’t something to brag about this season. The bills and chiefs are better teams still, the ravens if healthy are better too.
Why do ex quarterbacks always seem so mean spirited ? Between Dilfer, Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason, they start to sound like “get off my lawn” guys. Or, they become insipid dolts like Romo. Airman seems to be the only one with any professionalism
I usually agree with Trent dilfer, but he basically said the bengals were lucky to get to the super bowl, even though the rams got there because of Todd Bowles calling a blitz for absolutely no reason, and the 49ers DBs dropping a basically game ending INT, doesn’t make any sense to me, also the bengals literally were 2/2 against the chiefs this season yet he says the chiefs win that game “8 or 9 out of 10 times” like what the hell are you talking about lol
Stafford is a decent QB but far far from a HoF qb Hell right now Rodger as good as he is with only 1 ring is only just over the line for a HoF qb. Brady has reset the era for what a Hof QB is and that now means multipul rings not one and a billion yards thats just not good enough anymore.
See that's a bunch of BS. That is 2 NFL lifetime guys covering and whitewashed for the NFL. Florio doesn't do that. He challenges BS like poor officiating. This was yes corporate men. Calls were missed all game. Ramsey got away with 2 holds or PI's so the facemask was leveling the field. The calls at the end were horrible. They gave the rams 10 shots at the endzone. No one was going to cover kupp 10 out of 10 times. I'm actually stunned the bengals put up that good of a fight. If they hold just one flag at the end bengals win. They literally handed the rams the game. Such a let down after such a competitive game.
Why is Trent dilfer talking about football,,,, he was horrible at playing QB in the NFL. I thought they had guys that were good at their sport getting paid to talk. It's kinda hilarious if you think about it that Marino break all the passing records but never won a Superbowl. This dude was terrible and won a Superbowl because the defense allowed like 9 points a game that year for the Ravens. I really don't think anyone cares what dilfer says.
Dilfer can gtfoh! Who is he anyway? A QB who rode the coattails of his D to a SB win. If that game ended 2 minutes earlier the talking heads would be talking about how great the Bengals are and how they're about to win 5 SBs in a row.

Should have been in 79 and they should have never left California

Three, THREE players playing their best: Stafford, Kupp, and Donald. Do not forget Aaron Donald. Sensational performance, throughout the post season.
Winning when losing players and being wrecked by Covid was a really defining moment for the Rams. They just kept fighting and being relentless - lead by McVay, Donald, Von Miller, Stafford and Kupp.
Both Kershaw and Stafford now have championships.
And Both for LA teams, when they were in Texas as kids I don't think they thought of that parallel......😆
I got to meet Trent Dilfer in person today. Super nice guy. Very quiet and humble.
Trent Dilfer you were good in your time and this coming from a long time SUPER BOWL CHAMPION RAMS FAN !
If Stafford plays another 3 or 4 years as he has played the first 13 years of his career, he will be in the top five in all quarterback categories. That is HOF status for certain.
Trent makes a great interview. Interesting perspective for sure
Trent Dilfer is a very thoughtful person. His reflections are the best I have heard.
Brutal honesty from Trent.
OBJ did have touchdown and 52 yards before he got hurt That was both impressive and needed to win.
Watching this in February 2024. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 GO RAMS!!! GO SEAN!!!
Great show rich. The best yet.

Kupp & Stafford. A beautiful thing 🏈🏆🏈🏆

Never heard of Trent Dilfer? I'm guessing you're a young guy.
Well seek him out more he's the best interview in all of football
Trent Dilfer is a really good football commentator. Really like his comments all the time.
Lol never heard of him
Terrific interview with some legitimately nuanced insight

During the season it was often stated how Stafford finally had a run game, but he didn't have that luxury during the biggest game.
Great analogy Trent!! Honest and very very well explained wow!! I’m totally agreeing!! And super excited for an even bigger explosive new season!!
Matt's CAP for 2022 is only 23 million, that's dirt cheap compared to other QB's in 2022.
The rams haven't changed any paradigms. They built this team up then went from build mode to buy mode.
A quality team will go through that stage. It's a matter of what you can buy and how they turn out.

Worth it if you ask me. Teams in sell mode after being a first round exit. Rams have a lombardi to show for it.
really good points by Trent
Why wasn’t Joe mixon in at the end
He isn’t the 2 minute back, gotta go with the 2 minute offense that was practiced all year.
Free agency is gonna be wild
Great analysis by Dilfer
Goff would not have gotten it done !
Agreed, Stafford makes throws Goff simply can't make.
Really? 2 picks in Super Bowl and he is hof really? Countless rubbish seasons with lions hof really?

Trent had some really interesting takes. Definitely different then the others
Trent Dilfer really gets it.
I thought it was Will Sasso in the thumbnail.
Trent the man...........................
Bengals will get better also!
Yes. McVay masterful.
Weren’t BA and the Bucs the catalyst for what the Rams did? McVay took the blueprint for ‘what’s behind door 2?’ from those guys.
Not even close the Bucs did what the chiefs wanted to do get the goat of the generation and try to win a bowl not even remotely close to the rams who trading a qb that went to the Super Bowl for a qb that had even won a playoff game

People should be banned from using the word “narrative”
Stafford has never led the league in any QB statistical category other than interceptions... He is NOT a hall of fame QB... He's a good QB and he'll have a great career
Trent doesn't know anything. Hes a mid grade QB who got carried by a hall of fame defense. Cincy will be back
Trent Dilfer lol…Bengals we’re undefeated against the AFC playoff field. They beat the Steelers, Raiders and Chiefs, twice this year. They have 60+ Million in cap space + at least 7 draft picks. Aaron Donald - MVP or Matthew Stafford, no problem with Kupp however

I don't see Stafford getting in the HOF, he's been a volume passer his whole career, his numbers are inflated cause the Lions stunk.
I guess he is trying to make a case of himself for HOF, since he also won a Super Bowl
I use to love trent dilfer but now all i see is the face of the tua truthers and it’s hard to take anything else seriously
Browns can’t catch a break. Getting sideswiped everywhere 🤣 love my team, though.
And yes bengals will be back. Terrible take by dilfer in last few minutes. Even eisen was shocked.
The best players in the field, Krupp and Stanford? Ever heard of Aaron Donald?

Donald was the MVP..Rams would not win this SB without Donald in the fourth quarter and final minutes..big
omission Rich Eisen
Stafford- 0 MVPs, 1 Pro-Bowl, ) All Pro, Hall of Good not HOF.
They played it twice and bengals won twice so already a bad take with chiefs.
Not a packer fan but Rodgers is first ballot Hall of Famer
Trent , just do t go around choking kids.

The refs gifted the game to the Rams. This should be an asterisk game.

What does him being a Mormon have to do with anything?
