at 3:05 I say "with the frame perfect inputs of this game it's very punishable" but as it turns out the input buffer doesn't apply during your opponents attacks lmao. Hitting a 1f link is free but getting a 1f punish is still difficult.
When baf mentioned that flying Barcelona got the vanilla hitbox back I was immediately like "oh, so Vega is dogwater again?" And I was pleasantly surprised to see the amount of cool shit he got to compensate for the cringe ass hitbox lmao
I feel like the balancing philosophy behind Omega was "Man, wouldn't THIS be fucked up lmao" which is a schrodinger's statement towards whether said decision is gonna be busted out the ass, or just ass
Omega SF4 characters may be the most unexplored characters in any fighting game, ever. When this content dropped EVERYONE overlooked this and just ignored it and its very sad it was. Lot of cool stuff here and to be honest, a lot of these characters were not "broken" they were just weird.
This version of the character sounds pretty fun, especially the 2 bar mask off. But the EX-FBA having vanilla hitbox is weirdly punishing and not needed. It's a charge move, it costs a bar, why does it suck?
Vega in general is just weird. It's like every aspect of him they partially completed, then didn't finish and called it an intentional weakness. SFV Vega is the best version to me (and not just because of the motion inputs), yet even he's still kind of unusual.
I still hv some trouble doing the delta motion. Sometimes, it works and sometimes it doesn't. I'm using a keyboard and that's why the motion fails for me sometimes. Also, where did Izuna drop go?
He's probably C tier at best in SFV. The A-B tier is far better in terms of V-trigger/v-skill usage not to mention that wack super of his. In SFIV he hit B tier at least in Arcade edition before they decided to nerf him again.
@@Method2k5 At this point, I’m convinced that if Vega ends up anywhere above low tier, it’s by accident and the devs will try their best to nerf him in the next game or patch. And if they don’t nerf Vega, they’ll buff a bunch of other characters and keep Vega mostly the same.
