It's been a while since I watched a show and just got inspired right after to make a video. I must admit that at first my intention was to make an Anne&Gilbert video but while I was cutting I got inspired for a Gilbert tribute. As always this is kind of sad, but hopeful! and I'm so happy I managed to make a video about him and I really hope to edit more with the show :)

I mean don't get me wrong, there was definitley DEVELOPMENT in the books. But it was all because of Anne. Its really refreshing to see a male character develop independently through his expriences rather than through love - even through theres nothing wrong with that.
Well said. Gilbert has been an addition to Anne for all these years humbly waiting until she recognizes all his wonderful qualities. It's great to finally see him as an independent and developing individual. I am so thankful to the show creators for a different perspective on Gilbert

Gilbert has gone through a lot but he doesn’t show it, he is humble about it, he is hopeful for the future and is grateful for the present. I really admire that about him. That’s why Gilbert is my favorite character. 💗
I like that Anne is a small part of this video. I love Anne, and I love her and Gilbert together, but they only work so well because Gilbert is such a great character on his own, and this edit captures that beautifully.

Amazing... Gilbert is my favorite character besides Anne... He has gone through so many things and chooses to be kind, helpful and stand up for others. But I also love that they showed how his character developed because of the tragedy... He has become more bold with what he says to people who are not right or being rude.... Anyways this a show him perfectly

This is PURE ART and I love it so much. Gilbert Blythe is such a strong but vulnerable character who has gone through so much. Lucas Jade Zumann did a beyond amazing job at bringing this character to life, and I'm so excited to see him continue doing that in all the other seasons of Anne WIth An E that (hopefully) is about to come. I really hope season 3 will happen and that it won't get cancelled. One of my other favourite series "Everything Sucks!" got cancelled after their first season and I got so upset. So I hope this won't happen to AnnE as well.

This is trully captivating, from beginning to end. I've told you this many many MANY times but your ability to see the beauty in details and integrate them so naturally is astounding me. I haven't seen this particular show but with your other videos it always feels like i'm experiencing the source footage in a new way and see it in a new light, so i have no doubt this one is an exception. In fact i think that could be the perfect example to show off this ability of yours.
You did a wonderful job in portraying his character and showing his struggle from not fitting into this world, feeling lost till finding new hope, a new path, a new family. Beautiful.
So i guess we're just gonna keep pretending that his big brother/father Bellamy (i don't even care at this point) will guide and advice him in termns of becoming a doctor and Anne in s3 ;)

Your sensitivity is showing in every single second of this video. If I hadn't ever watched Awae, this video only would have convinced me to, as your Blue&Billy Moon video did convince me to watch the movie. That said, I love that the beginning of your video is musicless, you leave all the sounds here, the background noises, it makes the video more real and clean somehow. Wow, I never knew I needed this. You captured everything so beautifully. It's kind of sad now that I see this. Gilbert is so strong and such a courageous young man given his losses and sense of lack of belonging in AvonLea. The parallels in this killed me. But this is just so perfect.

you truly captured the essence of gilbert blythe and all that he stands for. his heart is pure and he radiates strength. this broke my heart because it happens to hit close to home but it also feels fulfilling to have such a tremendous character that is much more than the tragedies he's faced, who many people can relate to and learn from. you also made a great choice in the music department, it really adds on to the intensity of the video.

when I clicked on this I thought it might be from another movie and when I realized it's about this show you told me about I thought about to maybe stop the watching to avoid some spoilers, but then I just had to keep on watching it. i so loved the silent beginning with the voice and noises as the only sound. and when the music started i thought "oh i know this song" and it fits perfectly. still having an unfinished Lip Fiona video with it so i can really feel the work you put in this tribute. all the scenes and the close insight in some character from this show really made me fell for the cinematography of it and it already was and still is on my list. now more than ever thanks to your work. I wished i could say more to Gilbert but i guess i really must watch this show on the first hand. so i can only add how inspiring it still is to watch your videos and it's definiteley sth I want to take my time for it so I can really feel all the feels and be amazed ♡ one of my favorite moments where the scenes with the ocean and how the blue came out there. i always fall for ocean scenes and those in your tribute totally hypnotized me

This is the first vid I came to after watching Anne with an E and I feel so overcome with emotion. You are so masterful at finding little details, just the small bits of nature or thing around Gilbert's house/life really contributed to showing who he was and how Avonlea/his travels have shaped him. I really loved the story you told, about Gilbert losing his father but gaining family in Bash (and Anne). This was so incredibly moving and wonderful, I really hope you decide to vid Anne/Gilbert too because I think you'd just completely destroy me haha

I’ve had a crush on Gilbert for a long time but something I love is that I have a reason to love him other than his looks, Gilbert Blythe is genuinely just an amazing character. He’s gone through hell, he lost his mom before even getting to know her and his dad at 15, and he still continues to be such a kind, caring, and humble person. We all love Gilbert Blythe 💖
