The time has come. Luke Skywalker's Artist Proof Master Replicas lightsaber from Return of the Jedi 1:1 Prop Replica is now in my grasp. I've waited decades for this moment. It's a beaut!
I can't wait to extend my collection in the coming years. Next on my list is a Boba Fett helmet by MR.
If you didn't know, Luke Skywalker still has this lightsaber after Vader died and the destruction of the second death star. It was hanging off his belt when he went to Endor's Forest Moon to greet Leia and Han Solo during the ceremony. It was later seen in the Mandalorian Season 2 when Luke Skywalker fought the Dark Troopers on Moff Gideon's ship, to save Grogu.
I'm very thankful to have this piece, it'll make a fine addition to my collection.

Luke and Obi-wan actually have the exact same lightsaber hilt design althogh Luke uses salvaged materials and has a modified emitter.
It is also theorized that the crystal used in Luke's lightsaber belonged to qui-gon jinn in cannon
Oh, God. The silly "backstories" that get invented about these things. They have the same design because the Obi stunt sabers from ANH were still lying around and they recycled them for Jedi. End of backstory.

Dude... that thing is insanely rare for one. Second, that one is artist proofed, which makes it even more valuable, as there were not many artist proofed versions of the lightsaber.

Nah it’s not worth it, and it’s because the hilt is inaccurate. All the pamphlets about examination and stuff is complete bullshit because it looks nothing like that in the films. Luke’s Saber is literally MR’s worst hilt, and it’s because it’s ridiculously inaccurate.

The first green light saber to appear on screen. It made an impact for sure. I'm glad in films they don't just hand it out to anyone. Green seems to be held for particularly impactful characters, as it should. I love the disc-y design of it. The boxy light switch is definitely a product of its time lol.

That hilt is something else!! Love the attention to detail. I was lucky and found the MR Anakin hilt from Episode III, these replicas are absolutely stunning.

The other version of Luke's saber is called the V2. Like mentioned in the video, it's the one Palps has on his chair, Luke has on his belt, and the one Vader holds in the wide shots.
@@violetvoids7029 the hero was only used in pick up shots as it was made as an after thought. All on set hilts were reused Ben stunts because production gave zero thought on Luke's new saber. The close up of Vader holding the hero is a pick up shot in post production with a completely different actor in the Vader costume(not David Prowse). The actual scene was a mixture of the V2 and V3 hilts that were originally Ben Kenobi stunts from ANH.
@@jeremydrew1227the close up isn’t even the hero. You can tell because the control box isn’t as big. I’m guessing that one is a cleaned up Yuma. Which means the only time the hero saber appears in the film, isn’t even in the film but rather the deleted cave scene. I imagine the big control box was added to house electronics for that scene. Personally, my favorite is the V3 and I think that one should have been the hero.
