Hi, love the Dymo 4XL, but how do you turn it off? Lol there is no switch and if you leave, yeah it goes into energy saving mode but next day you will to unplug/replug to get it to work thx!!!
Hello!! I’m contemplating purchasing a dymo printer but I had a few questions. Would you consider doing a guide on how to print AusPost labels to the dymo printer? Also do you use an AusPost business account to get the labels in the first place? Ps great review!
what do you do with international labels? since they're double the siez of a normal domestic label. do you just squish it into the standard auspost label size and have really small text?
Hi guys, I know this is an old clip & you are busy with your relocation to the warehouse but is this the most up to date Dymo printer that you use? Is there are newer model that goes by a different name or model? Thanks heaps.
Hey yea there is a dymo 5XL out which is similar to the 4XL but from what I’ve heard they have chipped it to only accept dymo labels no 3rd party labels
How did yas get it to print direct from a pdf i had to add a label as an image and print it that way after enlarging it, i only purchased mine yesterday haven't been able to work that part out yet and minimal vids on it
Hey mate, where are you trying to print from? In most platforms like eBay or MyPostBusiness there will be a settings > label preferences section where you can select size A6 and 1 per page. Once that's set up and you select print to Dymo with 6x4 inch labels it'll be good to go
@@2AussieThrifters from my post business, ah yeah sweet I don't think I've changed the settings yet, was kinda hoping it would like auto detect and sort it's self out once sent to printer lol I'll Sus me settings, cheers
I haven’t seen anyone use that set up, there probably would be a way to do it but it might effect the scannable code, I definitely wouldn’t be going down that path myself
Okay, so I just bought a brother ql - 700. I was playing around for 3 hours on the my post website trying to print shipping labels. The rolls the machine takes is 62mm which prints them off very small. After looking in office works, all the brothers are 62mm and the dymos seem to be 56mm. So, can Australian post accept the labels that small, I mean, they accept your labels, because otherwise I've wasted my money.
@@2AussieThrifters Can you guy explain how to use this machine? I took my brother back and exchanged it and got this Dymo 4XL. This machine keeps saying it's out of paper when it's not, it seems to just pull through 3 or 4 labels at a time and I am sick of trying to wind up the reel each time and when it prints, it prints with some words missing off the right hand side.
@@Gary707 I had some issues early on with it saying no paper but i Vogel’s it and found a solution, I believe it was to unplug and let the blue power button to go off before replugging
2AussieThrifters can you add the boring bit about the setup? From chrome, having installed the printer, I get a variety of options to print to the dymo. The default was “Address” and scale was sized to fit. When I printed the printer light flashed once and then nothing happened. Also the image of the label is tiny compared the image of the blank paper in the preview screen? Can you tackle this boring bit in some notes?
Thanks Brad, just about to invest in one of these little babies. Question, do you buy the cheap labels from ebay? Or stick to Dyson brand? If you buy cheapo’s do they work just as well?
I can see how it would save you guys lots of time and money especially after your two last bulk guys, me I wish I can get 10 sales in a day, something to strive for in the future. Good Video
Yea it definitely will come in handy, the saving on Ink alone will pay for itself, Sunday evenings are hen we have the weekend sales to pack will definitely be a lot easier now😃
I was really excited when I got my thermo ... taking things to the next level 🤪 life is just about to get so much easier 👍 ( I have zebra GK420d- didn’t mind paying up rather that than give it to the tax man ! )
Apologies for the oversight. I believe I showed where to download the software. With the intergretion into our post system (my post business) it is just a setting within the program.
Drews Reselling Metal Detecting pretty happy with dymo so far, I bought generic labels and it cost about the same as I was paying for the A4 sheets, so happy with that knowing we don’t have to buy ink regularly
What are your experiences with dymo?
What app or what were you using to print it out?
@@anitas1319 we use my post business on the computer
Ok I hope I get it thanks
I have a 10-month old baby and having a Dymo is heaven-sent!
Oh they are amazing love having access to one
Thanks for the video couldn't come at a better time as I'm going to set mine up tomorrow :)
Ohh yay, you will love it once it is all set up
Thanks for the video, looks like a must have.
Thanks guys, there are definitely other ways to print labels but these are definitely more efficient
Thanks for the video r u still using the same one or have u upgraded 😃
We are still using the same one atm, I know there is the new 5XL out just be aware with that one you apparently can’t use third party shipping labels
Nice once again guys, definitely on the list of essentials I reckon
Mofo Chef it definitely will save money and time

We generally turn ours off at the wall and then turn it on again just before we start printing our labels
@@2AussieThrifters figured. I got a outlet remote I will use that to turn it off/on. Thanks so much! Great video!

Oh man thanks very much I was long ago waiting for this video
Thanks for the support Dany

I’ve heard people doing this but we generally print these to a normal printer so the info can be read

Hii where can this be purchased from in Australia??
You can get them from most officeworks or on ebay
In Aust Post App, what settings do you have for the Dymo 4xl? Is it A6
Hey,
Yes A6 on my post business then on the dymo 4”x6” hope this helps
you guys make it look so easy I'm only new to printing my labels and I cant figure out how to use my labelwriter it keeps saying error.
Great printer👍🏻 I haven’t had a problem using ‘compatible’ labels either.
Awesome, I did purchase some compatible ones as they are much cheaper

I wanted to see the label!!!!!!!
great video, how how to the labels recognise Express Shipping? it's yellow if you use a actual printer?
With the dymo the label gets printed in a slightly lighter grey so if it noticeable
Guys Any recommendations on where to buy cheapest labels dymo 4xl eBay label thks

Hey Gary,
Unfortunately I’m not sure on the other models and how to get them to work.
This model is the Dymo 4XL

How do you make it print a Amazon skew
Love my Dymo such a good investment and time saver 👍👍
We Flippin’ Good Stuff loving it so far for sure
How do you print a label from eBay directly to the Dymo, i thought eBay only generates the label for A4 paper?
We use My business post so we export the orders to there and print directly for my business post

Tori - what's the label size description on ebay to buy for your thermal printer that works with the mypost business account and ebay?
Dymo Gang

the hardest part is the software setup to scale shipping labels, and you skipped over that completely in your guide
