Would love to get your ship to - I work with a leading bag brand and think not only will you love the bags we have, but a Peter McKinnon Bag NEEDS to happen.
Another brilliant video! I’ve always avoided multi cam as I thought it would be exponentially more work, but now I’m totally wanting to try it. Thanks Peter!
This is sooo incredibly useful! I've wanted to start doing multi-camera, but I've been so intimidated. I have now gone from intimidated to motivated! Thanks Pete!
Armando Ferreira this guys is another amazing RUclipsrs. Armando been watching you from your early days. Hope your well. It's because of this guys I switched from iOS to Android heheh

This video is super helpful Peter!!! Thank you so much!! I can not emphasize enough how your videos have helped me and inspired me in making videos. Not only are your videos super helpful, but they are also super funny!!!
Holy.... I’m literally in the middle of a multicam edit and this just blew my mind. I feel like an idiot for not knowing about this earlier. But seriously pete... thank you!!!!
I just decided to work with the multicam-option and first off, I watched your video, and then started to set up my workspace with your help. Thank you! The workflow is just unbelievable! amazing!
I have figured it out. You are genuine!! That's right you love what you do and it shows. I started taking photo's back in the 1980's with a Minolta 35 mm camera and went to video. Now its been decades and I am buying a Canon camera in the next couple of weeks and taking pictures and video's until I drop. I love your passion and you and several others have inspired me to go forth and vlog my world for all the see.
You just saved me!! I was at work on my lunch break watching some super dry video to kill time...then I get the notification for a new McKinnon video. I owe you!
This video just saved me SO much time, effort and probably saved my hand from a few bruises (from frustratingly punching my desk). I run a Vlog for my company and also film interviews, and we are just starting to use the multi-camera technique for them. I have been dreading thinking about the edits. This blew my mind. As do most of your tutorials. Thanks! :)
Military member here... and I got super excited. I saw the video title and thought, YES! he has seen the beauty that is the Multicam pattern of camouflage. After really loving this pattern and finally wearing the pattern, I was excited to see this,... but am as equally excited to figure this process out in FCPX!
In one of his videos he mentions adding a sticker to one end of the battery and placing them sticker up if they’re dead so he can effectively just look and know without needing to put them in the camera to check.
You are like my favorite person on the internet right now. Not too long ago, I started DPing and editing a little web show and we just got enough budget to go to three cameras. I have been thinking that this was going to be a nightmare and may take so long to edit that we wouldn't have the episode up in time. This changes everything! You are awesome, man! Thank you so much for pointing this feature out!
Hey Pete! I edit a ton of live and post multicam stuff. One thing you want to make sure to tell everyone is that they must interpret the audio on the cameras accordingly before creating a multicam sequence! Dual mono or stereo etc. you can’t do this after the fact and will save everyone a big headache! Love what you do man! Keep it up!
I discovered Multicam editing a few months ago and it totally blew my mind as well! Seriously super helpful considering most of the interviews and weddings I do use multiple cameras! Huge time saver! I'm glad I'm not the only one who was super late to the game.
Peter McKinnon love the videos man👍🏽 keep them coming. But I really would like to know what background music or the name of the track you’re using at 4:50. I searched all over for it. If you know PLEASE 🙏🏽 let me know. Thanks.
But you can use Multicam with one camera too! If you film a music video or so where you film 5 times the same, just in different places, you can cut this with Multicam. 😉
I have been trying to figure this out for weeks. watched tons of videos. this is the ONLY one that has showed me the true process and explained EXACTLY why. Thanks Peter!

Thanks this was a HUGE help! Was both videographer and minister for my sisters wedding. Since camera had to be stationary used your tips to change multicamera angles to keep it more interesting.
I love your work Pete! I work in broadcast media and 6 cam multi-cam edits are my daily grind, kind of mind numbing at times but it looks like I can throw a quick Pro tip your way as a result! Shift+0 toggles that multi-cam view instead of the button if you like keyboard shortcuts. You can also click on any camera angle to change shots if you like as well. Keep up the amazing work!

Peter, thank you so much for this! What a useful tip for me, I’m really looking forward to doing a multi camera project for my channel. It was super hard in the past to sync audio and video but now you showed me a better way, woot!
Pete, great video! I remember when I first used multicam I was like "Wow! Just like the old days!" 🤣 Anyone who's struggling with Multicam, bear in mind it works great when the base camera is recording continuously so it has a continuous source of audio to sync to. The moment you have gaps in your 'lead' recording, say you need to stop an interview briefly, or you're shooting an event on multiple cameras all with different start stops, that sync process becomes way harder for Premiere to handle, and quite often it can't. That's when you need to start looking for 3rd party sync tools like PluralEyes or Syncaila. Hope this helps anyone who's struggling with a multicam edit and doesn't want to face manual sync :-)

Awesome video - you're making me fall back in love with Premier over FCP! Why????! Haha, anyway - hope your foot feels better soon! I tore my ACL when my oldest kiddo was a baby climbing over her baby gate - worst decision ever. Thanks for the stellar content, Peter!
I love the mulitcam editing! I'm using FCPX for the moment, and that software has the same. When I'm shooting concerts, theaters, shows etc, my editing now only takes the time that the concert and play actually lasted. Before it took ages to edit, first to sync, and then go back and forth to find the best camera angel for that scene. Just press 1, 2 or 3 to choose camera! Sooo nice workflow! Good video as always, mr! :)
This!!! THIS RIGHT HERE!!! Thank you so much. I was fighting with this last night. I didn't know it could be so simple. You've changed my life forever.
Pete I’ve been doing this for years ... but imagine this. I mainly work on multi cam edits from gigs. So this is my workflow. I get a master audio clip straight out of the sound desk, and I have usually 3-5 cameras covering the show. All on DSLRs so each clip is like 12 minutes. So a show is an hour, each camera throws out 5-6 clips. That’s 5 cameras 6 clips = 30 clips. Simple enough? Well, the kicker. The audio from the cameras are always totally unusable to sync. So I have to manually sync up 30 individual clips by referencing the footage from the master audio clip. Can be such a pain, looking for a snare drum hit, a strum of a guitar ... then I can begin my multi cam edit. I’ve been trying to workout a faster workflow but I haven’t yet. Great content by the way man. I think I’ve watched everyone of your videos in like 2 weeks. Keep up the awesome work man.
This was super helpful! Popped up in my recommendations and it just so happens I’m doing a multi camera comedy project in college, let’s just say this is gonna help me so much is the post production!! 🙌
