I went to my first drift even in 2011 at Texas Motor Speedway it was a xtc event I'd never seen drifting in real life before and I remimber specifically seeing your e36 killing it out there and that's all it took I was hooked. I sold everything I owned of value and dedicated everything to being able to build and drift a car for four years of my life. I realized a few years later you where the one driving that car and I wanted to thank you for getting me involved in something I love so much. I owe it all to you man!
Just goes to show how good he really is...I've always believed that had Chelsea not had car reliability problems, he could win the Formula D championship easily.
I’ve been a fan of yours for a while now through FD. Seeing your driving in person is honestly insane. You’re by far one of the most stylish, rowdy, badass drivers on the grid right now. I love that you seem to be bringing a new generation of FD fans through this RUclips stuff. Keep it up Chelsea, i’ll be rooting for you all season 2018!
Last sunday spent half day watching your youtube videos from first throughout to last episode of you driving the e46 in FD and posting SHGR episodes and it was awesome to find out the history. All of a sudden you release a video of telling the whole story. Interesting. Still enjoyed this vid. Cant wait to see you drive in Latvia again!
Chelsea, Great video as always! Can you make a video explaining how you managed to find sponsors and keep up with the money to race, tires, what your job was and more of the financial perspective. Love your stuff and the aggression of your driving style! Keep up the good work :)
That 2016 FDLB round ouuuuuf man was on a mission, but the rest of the season hurt my heart. I was at the mtl round, I remember you had to do top 16 parade without your car so rough.
cheers for sharing that, as a young and keen drift enthusiast from down under it was very interesting to here the experiences you've been through in drifting and where they've brought you. Keep shredding !!!
Love the backstory. Just finished the first year in FD video and now in the next season. My interest in Drifting dates back to about the same period you started. I bought an E36 325i in 2006 to start in drifting. Due to all kind of circumstances I never got to drifting and sold the car. In 2010 I started my first drifting in courses in rentals and I believe in 2013 I traded my daily, a Volvo 850 for a E36 320i touring. The car that I own to this day. In 2015 I got started in amateur drifting events. I was one of the first amateurs drifting one semi racingslicks, and using a anglekit. A never plumbed the installed handbrake. Years later I got to actualy finish the install. It got me into becoming an instructor for stuntworkshops and some precission driving. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get serious seattime. But I still enjoy drifting and hopefully get more seattime.
Damn you mentioned Hialeah speedway brought back memories! In Miami now we would have to go all the way to Osw to drift it’s pathetic. I wonder what it will take for homestead Miami speedway to start allowing drifting?
I can't believe you drove that car with the zip tied throttle body XD that's wild. I'm glad to hear you got awarded best style this past year, you were an animal on track, I was always looking forward to seeing your runs. Can't wait to see you take the championship
Hey man, awesome story. You brought some memories back. Here is one - as I have always driving BMWs and make some efforts of sliding them back in 2008 during the winter. At that time very few people in my country knew what drifting is.. However, later on I was searching for drifting BMWs on RUclips, because if I can't afford a fast and powerful one, at lest I can watch them online... Suddenly I came across of a video series called Say howdy get rowdy, representing Chelsea DeNofa.. 'Who the f*k is that guy?' I was thinking. But I started to look more and more for videos of him, imagining my car some day can be like his and that is exactly how i imagine my BMW to be powered one day. Later on, after seeing all of his videos at that time I did realize it is not only the car, but the driving itself that cought me! Man, what a chase runs, you suddenly became my favorite driver to watch, the car didn't matter any more, but the driving, oh boy. You make me brave enough to get closer to competitors cars and I will always enjoy watching you driving no matter what car..! Good luck dude..!
last time you uploaded i had just ordered a bunch from funhaver and been waiting now to thank you because it literally got here in 3 days. your team tee is hands down my favorite tshirt with bc and the 88 its just dope. i ordered yours and vaughn's team shirt came in a long sleeve version in the suprise bag so win win.
raw videos for the win. pretty sweet getting to check out some of your driving history. crazy to see how far american drifting has really come sense the dark ages. makes me sad that u have to lose money on making content, when ur content is soooo bomb! i am really excited for future ebisu content tho! it would be super badass if u were able to hit up some other tracks while over in japan, like Odaiba, Bihoku, or Tsukuba!!
Seasoned veteran!! I first met you at nopi Miami in 07?? I Remember being so stoked on the Pink turbo Miata.. I was like 13? Definitely influenced my first drift car
Lol how did you get the e36 so light did you every cut the floor and tube it so crazy I wish I could of went and see you drive in the nopi day in the 90s when I was in to Honda’s big nopi was all over the place with super street mags
Maaaaaaan I used to watch tunervision every single time I seen it on my dad got tired of watching it and ended up finding me a fc for 500 bucks he bought it and wouldn't let me touch it till I paid him back lol then we'd shoot doughnuts and "drift" the piss out of it every day when he got off work lol
love this video good recap!. been my idol driver since ive first seen you driving!!! never change what you do!!!. would be a dream to have a run against you one day!!!
I saw you on speed channel Chelsea. nopi was the greatest thing I ever recorded on a tevo, lol that was 7th grade for me. watched Hogans son drift to. and a chopped top Honda element. back in the day was great. not a fan of the big power nowadays. still here watching though ain't I!!
I was at Englishtown in 07. It was dope. Does anyone knows what happened to Steve Angerman? I think that was his name.. I remember they also had that Sylvia from the end scene of Tokyo drift. That was dope too Ueno was drifting with no pwr steering lol
I was born too late. Missed the early days of US drifting by about 4 years. I remember going to englishtown for waterfest wayyy back in the day and seeing guys sliding around before there was even an FD.
I didn't know you drove D1GP USA. Chicago in 2009 was my first drift event I ever went to (to watch). What color was your car? I shot a bunch of video. I can probably find you if I go back and search.
For a 400hp setup thats crazy responsive. S52, Stock engine, GTX3076 with .63 AR on a SPA manifold with RK tunes ECU. Will have a powerband from 3k to 7k and make 400 on pump gas, up to 500 on race or ethanol.
Bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh he went to no problem raceway that's my home track in Louisiana 😩😩😩 and my dad drifted his s13 in 2005 too and you might have been there the day he was drifting

How's it going nowadays?
The zip tied throttle body story blows my mind. Thanks for the background story!
Just goes to show how good he really is...I've always believed that had Chelsea not had car reliability problems, he could win the Formula D championship easily.
What's up with drifters and pizza delivery?
whats better than getting to drive a car u love for a job? lol drop the pie off, slide all the way back to the restaurant
JD .Rios I LFB drift my doge promaster on auto parts deliveries daily.
Its pretty much the most money you can make from a part time job when you factor tips in + late night seat time on open roads
Better than Tofu I guess
You inspire me so much!! Im a teen from florida and i wanna drive pro 1 one day ill go broke and through hell and back to make it

You have one of the top driving styles in FD. Always stoked to watch you hammer down in tandem. Keep that volume at 11...
The style award was well deserved. Absolutely sent at every event hands down.
This is awesome. Probably my favorite video of yours

Such an awesome story Chelsea! Thanks for sharing dude! See you in Long Beach!
Damn you mentioned Hialeah speedway brought back memories! In Miami now we would have to go all the way to Osw to drift it’s pathetic. I wonder what it will take for homestead Miami speedway to start allowing drifting?
Now this was worth scrolling down for!
Countyline?
I just want to say thank you for still making lots of videos even though there is no profit coming in, love your channel. :)
Very cool. I remember seeing the old NST E36 at Lone Star Bash 2010 I think. First taste of Texas drifting and super rad.
Man I remember changing those nexxens at Walmart back in the day when you had that nutty little rabbit pickup.
I can't believe you drove that car with the zip tied throttle body XD that's wild. I'm glad to hear you got awarded best style this past year, you were an animal on track, I was always looking forward to seeing your runs. Can't wait to see you take the championship

Vaughn is still #1...but I love your shit!👊 Someday you'll be the champ. Thanks for the dope content
Love your story! I drift my auto G35, but whatever gets the job done to get experience is what matters.
Damnn Hialeah Speedway... there’s a cvs and a target there now... suck cause we really don’t have any racetrack down here in Miami anymore
It's wild to think about how far North American drifting has come since the days that J helped kick start the scene.

Good shit man. Pumped to see you out there in 2018
I remember seeing this kid at D1GP Englishtown in 07, in a Miata, with the downpipe through the hood. I was like wtf? That event got me into drifting.
Sick Rob!
Would love to hear more about your last e46. Weight savings, engine, etc.

I was at Englishtown in 07. It was dope. Does anyone knows what happened to Steve Angerman? I think that was his name..
I remember they also had that Sylvia from the end scene of Tokyo drift. That was dope too
Ueno was drifting with no pwr steering lol
The key throttle body story is a come up holy shit.
I think it's a bunch of people that are just learning about the drift scene that are learning the names of FD drivers. .. anyways keep on killin it!
Now that it's snowed are going to take the 323 to do some snow rallying
Yes!
Your cool shit. Need more dirfters to do what your doin. All in it for the love of drivin.
I was born too late. Missed the early days of US drifting by about 4 years. I remember going to englishtown for waterfest wayyy back in the day and seeing guys sliding around before there was even an FD.
Yea man. I was born too late too because I WAS BROKE AND STUPID when drifting was starting in the US. I was there, but barely scraping by.
Great video hopefully your channel starts picking up more subs soon
Just bought a sticker man! Keep up the content!

Did you ever live in PA? A bunch of my friends from back home say they used to drive w/ you at the Oval in Central PA
Lol 7:45 reminds me of the fast and furious. "Road's closed pizza boy, find another way home."
Hello Chelsea! Quick question, I drift a e46 at evergreen speedway im looking to get bc coilovers im wondering what spring rates you would recommend?
So is the e46 gonna be a party/demo car? Seems like the compact is more like the party car now.
I didn't know you drove D1GP USA. Chicago in 2009 was my first drift event I ever went to (to watch). What color was your car? I shot a bunch of video. I can probably find you if I go back and search.
Do you have any footage from these years could be enteresting
we still out here
why do you prefer the sedans bmw´s over coupe ?
Stiffer, lighter, and much better looking tomme
To me**
The fact that you used an RA quote is god lvl
Damn, from getting beat by a hot dog to getting the RTR gig. That's the come up
Love your style! Wish we could talk!
Whst was the set up on the e36? 2.5 2.8? Im kinda digging hearing 300+hp for multiple events+street driving sounds fire
For a 400hp setup thats crazy responsive. S52, Stock engine, GTX3076 with .63 AR on a SPA manifold with RK tunes ECU. Will have a powerband from 3k to 7k and make 400 on pump gas, up to 500 on race or ethanol.
Chelsea DeNofa maybbee next season, ima try n rock the 2.5
Thats kind of lame that Daigo Saito got rookie of the year considering he was already a professional from another country.
About the gasbody story, how did you not break ur key xd, u dont like accidentally pull too hard and pull out or bend ur key?
I knew most of the story but thanks for the details
greetings from Spain
"He's from Barcelona" ~ Basil Fawlty ;-)
chelsea would you recommend the fc rx7 as a first drift car
Yea, they are good. Keep that motor COOL tho. Also get the rear toe eliminators FIRST!
Bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh he went to no problem raceway that's my home track in Louisiana 😩😩😩 and my dad drifted his s13 in 2005 too and you might have been there the day he was drifting
Dope story
No problem raceway in Louisiana? Or is there one in Texas?
Nah, the one in LA.
I moved to Colorado from La. and now have 3 road race tracks within 45 min from me... SCORE! Oh and the over the counter "med" is kewl too
Sick. That's not far from where I'm from. I used to go to no problem all the time
Chelsea DeNofa dude I'm freaking out rn that's my home track boiiiiiii
Can't tell if you're looking at the lens or the viewfinder because of the glasses.
Is an iPhone, so it could actually be either. I am also looking at my laptop.
All good,
I'm looking forward to following your 2018 season!
All the best.
