I don't care what anyone says. The early 2000s was the last time hard rock had any standing in mainstream culture and it was better for it. While I loved the big bands like Creed, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace and Linkin Park the smaller ones were incredible too. 32 Leaves, Another Animal, Thornley all had gems just as good as any top 40 rock song. Nowadays you're lucky to find any rock band that isn't doused with indie or electronic aspects to their sound. I like that stuff too but I really miss the edgier side of rock
