Said it earlier this season, will say it again. This isnt a career achievement contract that he's getting into, its a win now. And some of you fans dont get it. If the Warriors expect to win another title, Klay will either have to be off this team or take a reduced pay reduced role. They cannot give this guy that many minutes and just wait for him to be on rhythm. He was way more consistent in the past and they cant just wait nowadays for every other game for him to get hot. Especially during the playoffs. He either needs to be in the Iggy role or just get out of there. The strategy around the league now is that Curry is being blitzed every game now and they need a guy who can score points every night. The Warriors were 5-0 this season when Klay was inactive winning most of those games by 10+ points. Three of those wins were against good teams. Look it up.

I always say "trade Dray, Wigs and Klay". After watching this video, I realized that I am heartless, not realizing what they brought on this team. I felt like I'm not a real GSW fan coz I am only looking at their weaknesses. Thanks Allie for making me realize this. Klay has earned the right to do whatever he chooses without tarnishing his legacy with the Dubs, however I suspect he and the front office will agree a discounted team-friendly deal to align with Steph and Dray's timeline of 2 more years. While he doesn't owe us anything he's also declining and needs to move to the bench permanently (IMO) in a reduced role, plus hopefully he gives the organisation credit for the faith shown re-signing him after he did his ACL and the 2 full seasons he missed with that and the Achilles injury when he was on a max contract. They've deservedly made him a very rich man plus I'm sure he knows that money doesn't equate to happiness, although if he wants a new challenge nobody should have a problem his choice.

@44dperez OMG yes, I agree. It was beyond frustrating. Some of the in-game moves Kerr made, or didn't make, were baffling. Between Kerrs decision making, the constant turnovers and the extremely inconsistent refereeing this season got very aggravating to watch.

10 games over 500 is a good team record but could have been better than that if Draymond Green 27 games missed, Wiggins wigged out. Correct those things and the Warriors should have been 16 to 20 games over 500
If Kerr was a competent coach that knew how to handle having YOUNG star talent, we could have been in the top 4. Instead, Kerr was LOST for over 50% of the season.
I'll give Klay a B-. He is clearly not the Klay of old on a nightly basis but he can still light it up on occasion. I can see him fitting in the with Warriors going forward in a reserve role, which means less minutes, and I can see the Warriors paying him a premium amount of money to do that, but within reason. If Klay wants $30 million a year for a bench role, I just don't see that working.

Waive CP3, (he was good for us) but his contract is too expensive. Trade Klay, or resign for minimum(5 - 10 million per year), trade wiggins, he cant get it together for the past 2 seasons(too many family problems). Waive Saric or trade him. Get a solid center and solid pieces for curry, our bench is quite good.
They cannot just trade Klay. Unless he agrees to a sign and trade, they either lose him for nothing or they agree on a contract and sign him.

I want everybody to listen and listen good Steve Kerr is the coach of the team and he has a whole coaching staff and all the general managers upstairs the Golden State Warriors have no mid-range shooters what that means is they have nobody to go get a basket when everything breaks down they don't know have a center that know how to get a basket and they don't have mid-range shooters that know how to get a basket every other team in the league have those kind of players the Warriors do not Wiggins and Flamingo are supposed to be those guys but they are not consistent enough to be them kind of players everybody on Sacramento team can shoot the mid-range and the three All We Got Is three-point Shooters and when Wiggins get in the middle or kaminga to get in the middle they are not automatic scorers Chris Paul is good but he has to run around and find his sweet spot but if somebody is on him tight he can't get it off cuz he is too small pazinski gets in the middle but he don't look for his shot when he gets there and breaks down the defense he ended up doing a hook shot or looking to pass to somebody else Klay Thompson and Steph Curry are covered in that whole middle area down by the foul line is free but we can't get nobody down there to take a 15-footer this is crazy I watch Keegan Murray Andy Aaron Fox just walked to the foul line and shoot jumpers the breakdown Golden State Defense and then it opened up to three pointers I can't see how it all the coaching experience that we have out there that we can't figure that out every team does it to us and we can't do it to no one we used to have David Lee we used to have 100 Barbosa and Shaun Livingston that opened up Klay and Steph we also need a sinner that can go get a bucket I like Jackson Davis I even like Looney but none of them have signature moves to get a basket the game has changed we have to change with it

Just for the record it's not Klay Thompson and Steph Curry's fault without mid-range shooting they'll always be double covered if they had somebody like DeMar DeRozan they wouldn't be double covering Steph Curry as much I know that they're not a lot of DeMar DeRozan out there but there are other people in the NBA that can get you a basket 10 to 15 ft away from the basket my goodness
The only player being double covered is Curry. Klay just isnt hitting his shots because he doesnt know how to break out of single coverage like he used to. Thats the liability he brings to the team offensively. Look at his numbers against good defensive teams. He hits those 20+ point games mostly against bad teams. It wont work in the playoffs or against the elite playoff teams. People are thinking that Klay can get back to his 2016-18 form and its JUST NOT HAPPENING.
Klay has to stay. I’d let Wiggins and CP go long before I even start worrying about the salary and letting Klay walk
