Welcome back! Need a little more consistent lighting regardless still a cool video. Do try Pasta de Frigol Negro (black bean paste) it's from Oaxaca home cooking from the heart of mexico by bricia lopez. I'm curious about its taste, as I've only tried asian sweet red bean paste.

I made these at night so I think I should film these during the day so the lighting is better. I’ll definitely check that book and recipe out, I need more interior Mexican food books in my collection.
Corn meal is different from corn powder. Corn meal is ground up dried corn, usually much more coarse. Corn powder is ground up freeze dried corn and is much finer. I’ve tried making corn powder with corn meal and it doesn’t work
