This is so much slower than his other more viewed performances. There's a better (more clearly audible) sense of the rhythm. Richter is one of the best interpreters of Rachmaninoff, as far as sticking to the sheet music, and able to telegraph emotion and the atmosphere of what he plays in the same category as Vladimir Horowitz, in my view.
