We went through the "no regrets" stage too and that's how we ended up in Alaska. We lived in Wasilla and loved it. We only came back to SC because we had some sick family members and wanted to spend time with them. Now we're at the point where we are pretty much retired and can do anything we want. So we're thinking about Northern Maine. Not planning to homestead, we just love snow and outdoor activities and the beautiful scenery there. Enjoying your channel!
Alabama here. I have never lived anywhere else. Moved a few times within 50 miles or so but eventually landed on family land in central Alabama. I considered moving to the beach (Gulf Shores, Al or Florida) because I love the water, but just never pulled the trigger. We're happy and content here. Great story you told. I'm enjoying your videos.
Great story. No such adventures for me but I have moved around a lot in my country of New Zealand. So glad to be privileged enough to watch your and Alan at My Maine Cabin life’s journey. Thanks
Grew up in Mount Mourne NC, Moved to Florida for a job after my time in the USMC back in 99. Closing on a property Just north of Houlton ME next week and will begin the process of making it our home over the next year or so! Great story and enjoying your videos
Great story !!! My wild adventure well, you calling me everyday for a year to move across country with you ! I love y’all and miss yall not being here in Ketchikan! I’ll update you on my next adventure 😊
I currently reside in Missouri but I've lived all over the south (MS, AR, OK, TN, AZ). My dream is to move to Maine and have a small farm before I get to old. I hate this southern heat!
@onthehillhomestead207 We love it here, We moved from Wells Maine. Wanted to farm and get out of cold long winters. Well that worked till this year but I guess if Florida's got 10" of snow I don't have much to complain about.
I’m a retired English teacher, and I can honestly tell you that I would rather a letter full of errors that is authentic than the overly correct letter with no sense of personality. Computers have both spell and grammar check, but that handwritten letter was your voice. Nothing rings truer than that. And no, I will never correct from my keyboard. I hate when people do that.
Just watched this video, meat cutter from North Carolina, I work for Winn Dixie for 27 years years I did refrigeration for them. You cutting for Hannafords now?
Where am I from??? Interesting question….Vermont/New Hampshire. I’ve also lived in Maine, Connecticut, Montana, Oregon, Iowa, Florida, Nebraska, and that also includes VT/NH.
