Stellar put up! It really is nice to have someone willing to display the proper technique of putting up fur. Thank you for the content! I've found that with feet on furs, if you stuff the feet with paper towels or newspaper it will prevent the feet from drying too flat and getting really hard.
Very nice put up on your Badger Jim i have done several up for taxidermy excellent job your badgers are unique with the white stripe down the back here in Manitoba Canada where i am ours have a white stripe only on the head mine are like a Dakota Montana type should sell good to the right buyer
A tumbler is a barrel(plastic or wood) connected with pulleys and a motor that turns at slow rotations. It has a door on it and you put sawdust or corncob grit. You then put in a couple furs after you have flushed them and you tumble them for 15 to 20 minutes. The purpose is to pull most of moisture out of the skin and it also fluffs up the fur. Then you just pull out of the Tumblr and put it on a stretcher and brush and fluff it up to make it look good.

Thanks Charles. I really do like that stripe. Gives them good character.
Do you have a video on how to remove the lower jaw on cats easier? I find it fairly hard. Thanks
I don’t. I should have made one. Sorry
Can you explain or demonstrate what a “tumbler” is?

What corncob grit do you use? Is it similar to sawdust or is it more of a pellet shape like smoker wood pellets?
@kylestang3221 I use Grit-O Cob from Home Depot. It’s medium grit so a little bit closer to sawdust, but definitely not pellets.
@@trappingspots ok awesome thanks!!!!
