      I also heard that they have made some new laws for foreign students, which are not good for students. It makes it even harder for a student to settle there and they also set a limit there that foreigner students can not work as much as there own citizens.

    Being raised in a traditional patriotic way, I never considered moving out of India as an option. I always got irritated when received comments from people why I don't try to go abroad for my master's degree. To tell you honestly, I never understood why people want to leave their own country! For money? Fame? Career? If you are talented and work hard, you will excel no matter where you stay. I love my country and don't wish to leave. Hope there are at least a few more who can relate this feeling! :)

      I have seen many already working 25-35 aged men and women moving to Canada because they are unable to make their living in India. You might have the opportunity but there are many who have liability which can be paid off by mere part time work in Canada or UK which they couldn't have done in India.

    We (Indians) have that deep craving for foreign education. We (Incl me) think that until unless we go out of our country and get educated and certified otherwise we aren’t that worthy. If we don’t do proper research before joining in any foreign schools and just blindly following a neighbour or a friend, this what majority of us end up with. Sad but truth.

    • @homeschoolindianmom
      @homeschoolindianmom 9 месяцев назад +2

      A sensible comment. Instead of blaming foreign governments for your own failure, it is better to check and verify admission offers.

    • @MrRaghuramC
      @MrRaghuramC 9 месяцев назад +4

      @homeschoolindianmom I don't understand your logic. I just said that when foreign governments are not providing information about a certain educational institution, then Indian government should do a background check and maintain a roster of genuine institutions. Of course, we'll blame the foreign government when that government happens to be irresponsible like that of Justin Trudeau of Canada. That's the least thing they can take in return for offering such sloppiness.

    • @homeschoolindianmom
      @homeschoolindianmom 9 месяцев назад +2

      @MrRaghuramC I started by saying that I agree with your comment. I think you could've understood that part.
      When the Canadian government has already posted a list of blacklisted colleges and created a whole set of steps to streamline the process, the problem that arises is because of the corruption in India where desperate students want to take the wrong route suggested by the corrupt visa agents in India and not do their own checks. It was understandable earlier, but since the availability of the Internet, everyone should verify their offers directly from the colleges.
      " Of course, we'll blame the foreign government" is a weird statement to make.
      It is not the responsibility of the foreign governments to check for Indian corruption at every level, whether it be visa agents or IELTS tests centres. Of course, since now India is in the limelight for sending students who are at level 3 but have submitted level 7 and 8 on IELTS and cannot understand the content, and also because they spend their time working 2 jobs instead of getting the rest they need, also living in shoddy conditions to save money, they are being extra careful with Indian students. Not all Indian students do this, but a significant number do.

There are multiple countries in today's world, much better than Canada & UK where you can go to study. This is very good news for Indian students who are serious about their careers in Canada now as jobs were previously very less coz there were too many Indians just worshipping labour jobs and working 50 hours a week, too many Uber cars on road leading to Toronto freezing the issuance of new licence.
    Rents also were very high in Canada due to all of us coming there and inflating the prices.
    Scams were also too much as wherever too many of us are there, we’ll make sure that place becomes worse.
    Now as students are leaving Canada jobs for the students who want to explore in their fields will get a chance rather than just jumping over odd jobs like working in a restaurant or gas station, not trying to put any job down but let’s face it, you came here for that ?
    Property prices will be stable in a few years and jobs will be better as Canada was very good when there were all of us rather than just us Indians. Let’s face it, Canada became worse and worse only when too many Indians started coming without thinking anything.
    I think it’s a god start as the overcrowding will be lesser and things will be better.
    Just wish Canada becomes much better as too many Indian students coming there specially in Toronto and nearby areas and then cribbing about Canada when they don’t get what they want.
    Canadian Visa system should become as rigorous as US and issue Visa only to serious people who will be good for themselves and the country.
    Only the people who are talented and can work should be issued Visa.
    Doubling GIC is a good start.

Its better to stay in India and work for our Country. At the same time Indian politicians should not divide the country in terms of Caste, Religion so as to dampen the atmosphere for the students to take a decision.

    Hey everyone, just a quick heads up from someone who's been there: Think twice before packing your bags for Canada right after your 12th Std. Save your money and time! If you've just finished school, it's better to stay in India and complete your degree or consider another country. Why? With the recent changes in immigration rules, getting a Permanent Residency in Canada (if you are coming after your 12th) is now as likely as scoring a goal in cricket - simply not possible! And let's talk about Trudeau and Jagmeet, our enthusiastic Khalistan cheerleaders. Trudeau's tenure as Prime Minister is winding down, and Jagmeet? Well, he's like a kite struggling to fly without Trudeau's support. So, focus on your graduation in India first, and then see if Canada's still calling!

    In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.
    Their are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

Simply: Under Employment in Punjab drives students abroad, Canadian Businesses and Schools love the 4x extra fees charged.....still suffering are those students who are met with more hurdles and even disdain. Simply put the Punjab & Indian Governments need to work together to prevent this brain drain

    Why is this craze for foreign university by the current generation? I could never get that. University education is an investment and like any investment, the return potential has to be good. Indian students mostly go overseas either funded by parents or loans secured by parents. So students have to do cost- benefit analyses. If a person had studied only in Indian universities, but had the aptitude, knowledge and drive, he can be successful anywhere. I studied only in india, but worked in more than 14 countries - like Germany, US, Japan, UK, Italy, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Middle East, etc. Never felt underqualified. The real problem is people who see student visa as a gateway to Canada, if you are not getting an admission in a reputed college or University then that should be your clear signal. As of today there are lakhs of small shops (locally run by Indians) who are making this happen. They have learning institutes running in 2 BHK buildings in which they enroll 600 students per semester, and don't have capacity to even accommodate 50, which further makes situation worse. Students getting stopped from enrolling in subjects to complete credits is a pretty common tactic these small shops do, even recently the Government of Canada has also made 1 of its agenda to crack down on these businesses. This is not the end, just imagine the type of Job market these local run shops prepare you for, a recent survey showed that Canadian employers are not able to find right skill set in immigrants who graduate from such kind of institutes, plus the part of permanent residency is a thing which literally tears apart every ones clothes. SO in nut shell Canada is not a bad country, but the real problem is alignment of expectations with your capabilities.

A lot of the CEO's of the worlds biggest companies are Indians (Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Chanel, RUclips) and not all of them studied abroad, Sundar Pichai ( CEO of Google) studied at IIT Bombay Kharagpur (and University of Pennsylvania in USA).

The truth is that students not only struggle to find jobs (working 2-3 jobs at one time, with no savings and only paying rent) they struggle to adapt not only to the economic situation but also to the fact that there are truly limited opportunities here. Had Trudeau and his laptop Jagmeet worked on ensuring that there were controlled immigration levels that allowed for limited entries alongside our idiot leaders in canada fixing the housing crisis alongside creating affordable housing and shelters, we wouldnt have this problem.
    Stay in India and help your country grow. Canada is going to be jn a very deep recession this year and the cost of living is increasing while people are crumbling.

    A very important aspect here is unregulated Indian immigration industry.
    Countries like Canada, Australia, UK, USA have their own immigration consultant regulations and licensing systems. They do not recommend Indian GHOST consultants who are not regulated by any authority in India. In fact, India doesnot have any specific policy to regulate this sector which leads to students and workers being scammed , harrased and manipulated.
    I recommend you should research and make a video on this topic too!

    I absolutely love and respect our sikh brothren. So do a lot of people. And because we consider them synonymous with integrity- we dont suspect them of scams. But i have a personal story- two sikhs had come to my door, and i dont know what they did, (they didnt getbinto the house), but they managed to get 3000 drom me. And at that time i didnt have any money after that. Its been more than 10 years, ive met many people who have had this experience.

    There's a simple way to pick good universities in Canada, the US or anywhere else - use proper sources of information. MacLean's for Canada, US News or Princeton reviews for the US and so on. Also, look for universities that are nationally accredited in both countries, not regionally accredited. With a little precaution it is possible to get a great education in Canada and the US.

    Canada is getting to expensive to live. Cost of housing is too high. Rent is increasing year after year. 1 bedroom apartment in Toronto costs $ 2600 CAD minimum per month. its not sustainable to live here if you and your spouse do not have good paying job or income. Then you need a car in other cities to survive which adds your expenses. Car EMI+ Insurance+ Maintenance+ Petrol= $ 1000 PER month. That's lot of money

    Nikita, I do like your RUclips vids. They are well presented and precise. My question is why and what is the reason Indian students are even considering studying in Canada? Are they planning on immigrating to Canada? Just doing your education in Canada does not land you a job there. One needs to have Canadian work experience to be employed in your chosen field and that does not even come over a period of 10 years. The only option then is to do hard labour which is what 99% of immigrants including Indians who arrive in Canada do in the initial stages (this includes highly qualified and educated professionals from India and elsewhere). Canada requires skilled labour and so they import immigrants in the name of students and temporary or permanent residents to fill these slots. It is only over a period of time other than 10% successful immigrants that they manage to even find a stable labour job. It is all a scam right from the start. To promote this, it is agents from India who benefit the most by printing such admission acceptance forms etc. They do this hand in hand as a racket with their Indian counterparts in Canada. A high proportion of such racketeers are from Punjab and the Northern parts of India. Also, many students before getting to Canada are already aware of such vulnerability. The best option for students to get to Canada or any other European or Australian Universities is via a scholarship. If you don't get one through a scholarship, you are doing at your own risk and it means you have already accepted to do manual labour for your survival or education abroad. .My humble suggestion is unless you are immigating to Canada and seeking a permanent residence VISA, it is not worth investing to study in Canada at all. This money is better invested in a high interest earning account that would give better dividends in the long run. Nothing to lose!

    Affordability is a big factor: expensive Rent, lack of employment for students as there are too many going for entry level jobs as students, fee charged to international students is 3 times as compared to Canadian and lastly, the economic downturn has contributed to this BUT this is temporary and it will be same again in few years.

    For now, please don't take decision for going Canada. Who have already paid money and had no option to back-out, sure you have to go for it but please be in safe zone. For those who are at just planning stage and have other option with less value, then too opt for that other option. If you can wait for the tension to get zero or cool down, then wait for it and apply. Also as she said in video, go through the list of colleges first and then apply for further procedures..
