South of Verona, it's pretty much farmland and bear sightings are rare. Around Verona, you might start to see bears. North of Sharbot Lake, yeah, it's bear country. Between Verona and Sharbot Lake there was fresh bear droppings on the trail when I passed through. Didn't see any bears in person, though in my trips.

Is that a bear country or the trail is surrounded by farmland?
