When I do my boards, over top of all the prep I cover everything with aluminum foil to prevent any pre ignition. I started doing boards in the mid 90's
Edit: Solved! They are called "Sliders". Hooray! Original: Anyone know the name of those fuseless fireworks that u rub against the ground with your feet and they crackke/spark? They aren't like snaps, u don't throw them. They are activated by friction when scraped. They look like thin small sticks (not tubes). Thanks.
Fusing up assortments in fun and all but 3 minutes go by and poof everything is done. I like to light them one by one to make the show last at least a bit longer.
Hahahahaha!!! That was FANTASTIC!!! I wonder if your "quick fuse" is the same as "black match". I remember when I worked on the War Kite episode of "The Re-Inventors", we used black match to light the rockets that were attached to the 10'x14' kites, and that stuff was instant! It was one of the most memorable episodes of that show, partly because of the danger, but mostly because, of course, we had nearly zero wind and had to launch the kites by pulling them behind snowmobiles. It was also around -40 C, which in Fahrenheit is...., well, -40 F.... LOL I'm pretty sure you've never had the pleasure of working with snotcicles hanging off of your moustache, while trying to launch fireworks or rockets, but it really did add a little extra something to the epicness of it all. Yo Cody I mentioned earlier on a shorts video, not sure if you’d be interested but I have a mortar tube from the calavera bombas kit that’s misprinted so the girl is pink and blue. Might be cool in your collection.
Idea, get better stuff, including things intended to be finales, then before those finales, do one of those cheap assortments fused together. Or, if those intended to be finales just don't do as much as all these combined, those actual finales, then one of these.
These assortments have always been hit or miss. Overall, this one was meh. Had some decent stuff, but like those cone fountains, a lot of it was too short a duration to give it a high score. I look for variety, color, and duration in good assortments.
Yikes. Is it just me or were all the fountains nearly the exact same effects? (Varying only in duration and whether it whistles) The disappointment in your voice was well warranted. BUT having all the assortment fused at the end was way cooler! Big fan of the channel Cody. Keep it up!

That's pretty cool never looked at the variety packs as "show pieces" but looks fun if you do! A lot better than individual
