@@kaseius I can't think of any games besides horror/zombie survival games (mostly open world) like Dead Island 2 (I play tested the game for a couple of hours and I found it to be a bit different from the first game especially it involves "card skills" like from the Back4Blood, that I didn't get to have. And speaking of open world games, I wonder if you're into Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. Once I start playing it, I can hardly put down the controller even if I want to. It's too good! Or if you're still interested in playing horror survival games, there's the upcoming Jurassic Park Survival. There are some action games like Ghostrunner, Ghostwire, Ghost of Tsushima (geez, so many ghost named games!) and since you've played Dark Souls, there's Elden Ring or Sekiro.

when i have grandkids around by the fireplace im gonna tell them 'i was there when kaseius played a game to the end..." lol remake is good but the OG still has a place in my core memory. although i never understood why laura went off with james even after knowing he killed mary. like 'girl, you walked all the way through silent hill, you dont need him to walk you out!'
what I don't get was, why was Laura there to begin with? is it because she was related to James? if so, that makes it more of his own personal trial. but if that's the case, then why were Eddie and Angela there? also yes, "I did it" -> "I hate you" -> leave and what's with Laura saying she JUST turned 8 or whatever it was? when in reality she should have been like 11? or did I misunderstand it..
@@kaseius as the theory goes, james had *just* killed mary and he supposedly left that detail out after an apparent breakdown. actually if you look into the other endings they kinda fill in the details of what he did with her corpse that kinda shows how recent that event was. that would make laura telling the truth about her just turning eight (since she's a kid she wouldnt have a reason to lie and she doesnt suffer in silent hill like that others) and pretty solidifying how recent this all was. i think the three years BS was when the last time they were in silent hill and mary was still healthy. laura doesnt have family which is why mary said she wouldve adopted her if things were different. in the same letter, mary says shes going to a special place, since they both talked about silent hill a lot laura assumes shes still alive there. she got to silent hill by hitching a ride with eddie (something shown in the intro/trailer of the OG game, not sure here in remake). there's also a novel of sh2 that was translated from japanese going into more detail, mainly into angela and eddie but thats the jist of it!
Also, would that mean Laura was mostly just walking around a normal town with no monsters since she’s innocent? She wouldn’t need to be punished or atone for anything… so from her POV was she just trotting along and drawing for fun
@ pretty much! she brushes off any concern james has cuz for him silent hill is constantly threatening him where else for laura it’s most likely an empty town. i also think she’s there cuz the town/marys spirit beckoned her just like with james. angela was looking for her mom and eddie was ‘called’ to the town meanwhile bringing laura along. i’d have to read the novel again cuz that ended differently than Leave and i forgot what happened to Laura - though im sure she made it out fine

I have finished the last 3 games I've played on this channel!! Sure, it's only been one game a year but we've done it
