Great videos, much appreciated. Re: over taxing muscles - after your shower, add a few handfuls of salt to a hot bath and relax for half an hour or so. This tip allowed me to work as a Landscape Gardener for over 15yrs where younger people came and went - saying it was too strenuous. Hope this helps.
🌻👨🌾🌼🐇🥕🌺🌸🐝🦋🌳😁I’m back for another update of your amazing garden. Everything looks great! Your work is inspirational to me. I’ve been very busy in my garden getting everything started for the season and making videos about it along the way. Im glade I found time to check In with you. I appreciate the information you’ve shared. You’ve helped me learn something new! I hope we can connect and keep learning from each other.
Dear Carl, Excellent vid! I love a bit of everything - oh, except the hurting your back bit. Hope you're feeling better by the time to read this. But once again great progress being made and you got your potatos in - fabulous. You're going to need some in September. I'm curious to see how your tomato cuttings get on, as well. Best, Alex - NetZero Homestead
Thanks Alex, the back is just about recovered now, and the tomato cuttings are planted out too!! I will show them on my next video (after today’s release) 👍
We've had that same phenomenon here, Carl! I was just thinking that this very day; this season feels "normal", or like how it did 10 or so years ago- sort of more what we normally expect. Interesting!! Btw, way WAY jelly of the blueberry shrub. Ive lost 4 this year to animals darn them. (Not giving up lol). Ive got a dodgy back, so I feel your pain- feel better soon!!
Wow getting rid of some of that hedge dramatically changed that space. This video has a theme - underestimating Jackie's role in the self sufficient hub family. Especially blaming her for not being able to lift the chicken house, and for claiming credit for her arrows that she shot! I see through you sir. Lol. I feel sometimes like I've done a lot jobs that are really helpful, but don't feel like progress. Hope your back is okay. Leave the lifting the pros next time mate
Removing most of that huge hedge has let so much more light in as well!! Hope your back eases up during the week 🙈 is there any chance that you could let me into the fb Patreon page please 😊
Nice chicken ark!
Thanks T 💪😊
Looking great 👍 hope your back felt better after your bath. If not you will need to rest or be very, very careful
Yea, its been a day of painkillers and rest today - hopefully it will be better tomorrow 🤞
Great videos, much appreciated.

We also just planted a blueberry bush last weekend!
Nice! Make sure it has acidic soil 😉👍
@@SelfSufficientHub Excellent tip. I snagged a $20 soil ph probe. Excited to try it out this year.
@@williamjames9725 sounds great - let me know how it goes!

I have just spoken to Vicki who helps out with the patrons only group and you should get an invite at some point tomorrow!
@@SelfSufficientHub thanks Carl 👍🏼
Great work, hope the back’s alright. Is that a terrarium at 9:39?
Yes! That’s Timmy the Tortoise’s house 😊👍
@@SelfSufficientHub Cool! Russian or Hermann’s?
@@prodomango712 neither! He’s a horsfield. He’s my sons. We’ve had him since a baby and he’s 5 now
