- In June, I challenged you to climb the highest point in your local area, no matter how mediocre it was. Hundreds of you went out and did it. So I think you deserve some awards :)
EDIT: ok so it turns out RUclips removed its poll feature literally last month. THANKS RUclips. Please vote for your favourite mediocre mountain here instead:

And also... really sorry that I couldn't fit everyone in - and even some of you who got in are only on screen for about a millisecond. There were SO MANY good entries that I had to leave out, it was just impossible to squeeze everyone in there. But if you missed out this time then you'll get another chance in the future :)
Hi Tim
done!
"I'd like an alpaca"
Lovely contest, great activity, I was glad to have participated. Looking forward to your next project!
Yeah, RUclips found the poll feature a bit mediocre.
My vote has to go to the highest steps of Coventry for making fun of out beloved Belgium-neighbours.
RUclips removing the poll feature feels like such a fitting end to the video.
yes
Oooo noooooo. I was just trying to figure out how to vote.
@@cyrilio snap. Was wondering how we vote.
Well I suppose in the scale of things, removing voting is quite mediocre
I didn't even know RUclips had a poll feature LOL
"I'd like an alpaca", yes Tim we do read them, but we have to pause them to do so!

@@TheTimTraveller This is adorable
Oh please. I already have more aardvarks, anteaters and armadillo stuffed toys than a man of my age (and bank balance) can in any way justify. I don't need another complete rabbit hole opening up. (But with alpacas, rather than rabbits. I'm pretty sure alpacas don't dig holes, though; so that analogy wouldn't work.)
I've only just marginally scraped past a wombat phase after seeing the 'Lost Ember' merch site.
@@TheTimTraveller Daawww.
@@TheTimTraveller lol. I'd like to have a toy alpaca instead =D
The middle of a roundabout in a retail park is just the most mediocre place ever.
Voted for Mathias and his wife. 😍
I agree!!
Ravenfeeder Ta!
I'm honored to have been nominated for the best view from a mediocre mountain! X3 Thank you for putting this together - it's so much fun!
I still believe the tallest mediocre climb in the world is the one out of bed at 4:30 am on a monday
Your comment should be pinned! SO True!
Have a pin: 📌
As a Dutchman, all these mountains still look enormous to me!
Like seriously, that 32 meters in Groningen is a meter lower than my highest local point and I managed to cycle past that looking for it not even realising I had.
@@Quintinohthree I live on the side of something that is literally called a mountain at a whopping 42 meters above sea level
I know what you mean P_Mouse! We climbed a 10m hill in Den Haag and made it into the video. Mission accomplished!
@@FoggyMcFogFace Wageningen?
@@Quintinohthree Yes, the great Wageningse berg, or Wageningen mountain. There is one on the other side of the """""valley""""' slightly taller though. The Grebbeberg, or Grebbe mountain.
Malcolm in Adelaide got a solid laugh with his "crikey!" as he summited. This is great stuff, really brightened my day!
Tim. Do You understand, how many people you have moved? :)
Literally, or figuratively? 😂
@@kabochaVA Yes.
OMG I WON I'VE NEVER WON ANYTHING BEFORE WHAT DO I DO! (5:46)
Seriously, though, this was a super clever idea and a ton of fun. I really hope you do something similar again in the future.
Dude, that was awesome. Your editing is through the roof right now, and this community you created is the most wholesome bunch of mediocre goofs I've ever seen :)
Also, 9:17. You just HAD to get some sick British burns in there, didn't you?
I'd like an alpaca, that's for sure ;)

@@TheTimTraveller is this a llama?
@@TheTimTraveller Now that's just perfect!
The video ending was sweet and so unexpected. Thanks Tim.
Wow didn't expect to find you here Ash
This was fun and I got a special mention. Hopefully next time I'll be home so I can climb actual dirt rather than a glorified telephone pole in the middle of the ocean
assuming you were the one in the Indian Ocean, I think that was a great entry!
@@evanr1940 That's me. Thanks.
The fact that the highest point in Christchurch is an overpass, and you can't even stand on it unless you want to get run over, I think is what really clinched this for me.
I just hope our buddy in Hongkong is fine...as well as everybody else of course, these are the times when someone like Tim can make the biggest difference! Thanks!!!
Yeah, well...I live at an an altitude of 950 meters and the "hill" I see from my house is over 3300 meters.
Don't worry, I live at the altitude 205 m on lowlands, the highest hill in my proximity has 289 m and still it is not so mediocre... In fact it resembles the highest mountains in many countries. Luckly still a bit lower then Vaalserberg LOL
can relate, I live in Colorado and all the high point is well...a mountain.
Well, I live below sea level and the closest "hill" is still below sea level. ;-)
I live in a polder. The highest natural point is about sea level, as is the lowest point. It's so flat there's literally nothing to climb. Similar problem, very different reason
thank god, I live in Mountain View but the mountains are not local (I did bike up my local garbage dump mound but I did not record/submit ;)
The mountains may have been mediocre, but the entertainment level was massive. Brilliantly done!
Yep, I cried again, so it wasn't the alcohol the first time I watched it. Tim, I really think you captured the zeitgeist with this one. There's such a need for just feeling mediocre again. Well done everyone! Tim, vous êtes un artiste!
You know you'd make a good lawyer when you can say I'd like an alpaca
Well here's someone else who'd make a good lawyer ruclips.net/video/FSKZ4IowkYU/видео.html
Ah Tim that was truly a great idea. So good to see people all around this beautiful world rising up to be mediocre
I'm now reconsidering my decision to retire from mediocre mountaineering. So many interesting peaks out there.
wow.. i'm actualy in it... that realy made my day...
Are you Chris from Saarlouis or are you Swiss?
I started to cry a little before the Nick and Jenny video even started because you said "you were going to do it anyway." I knew it. Congratulations to both of you. Woohoo!!❤️❤️❤️🍾🥰
grabbing my popcorn now!
EDIT: this was amazing. Love how everyone is coming together over such mediocre challenges.
5:46 What a view from that spot! I also wish I was there. 6:28 is also stunning. Great entries
Giles had my vote! Ive never been more impressed by a Lidl.
BTW thank for the shoutout! This nomination is one of my top 5 best accomplishments!
Liam Tahaney ta!
May not have been nominated, but twas a nice walk on the longest day of the year!
🤗
This is so lovable odd. Tim Traveler has a great community.
Oh Tim. The stuff you come up with. You are a legend!
Jenni and I are so excited to have made it in!
Great fun taking part - well done to everyone, the videos I've seen are awesome, I thought mine was okay until I saw all your efforts!!! Brill work all round. To the next challenge...!!

In the end, I’d like an alpaca waiting at the summit to share in my victory. Thank you for providing the best belly laugh of the day. Thanks to all who shared your small moment of joy during the CV Madness. I’m looking forward to the 2nd Wave Edition.

Thanks for putting our photo in the intro. My son was so Excited to see himself "on the TV!"
Wow, time flies when you're allowed out of your house more than once a day. Completely forgot to enter. Hopefully there is a next year! lol
Indeed!
3:57 I'm sure you'll all agree that 'whopping' feet are slightly higher than just regular feet.
I absolutely loved this whole challenge and all the videos people submitted. This award ceremony is a great tribute to everyone who joined. The feeling of wanting to climb the highest point in an area is a feeling I know very well. Maybe I'll join a next time. Thank you very much for the initiative and inspiring people to make all these great videos :-)
Lovely to see so many entries from around the world, you have a great community Tim
I'd like an alpaca!

love this video, and love the afford you put into this! I hope to meet you at youre 1 Million milestone :3
This video made me finally subscribe to your channel. The whole challenge and the video is so damn wholesome and communal... I feel like doing stuff like this is the best possible social use of the Internet
Why am I grinning, laughing and crying all at the same time?
Thank you Tim!
I'm happy that our "mountain" in the District of Columbia made the cut. The area has an interesting history. It was a Black neighborhood that the Federal government cleared in order to build schools for white children. It was not blighted - it's just that the residents were considered disposable. And the high school is named for perhaps our most openly racist President. I'm glad Shannon called it Fort Reno.
"I'd like an alpaca"
simply coolist & funniest way too unite the world - - Congratulations Tim for being a Great mediocre Inspiration too use all 😂🤣
mmm alpaca do i - play with it, ride it, shave it for wool, or street party barbeque for slight C19 re-opening, also why only 1 alpaca and not just for christmas ha ha

Thumbs up to the guy at Pidley... that’s where I would have ended up too if I’d remembered to do this in time 🤣
Just brilliant love it, so much fun and such a great idea

Super Tim. Brilliant content.
I'm enjoying this so much more than I thought I would - I love all the funny categories and it's so fun to see the variety of places that people made it to.

I have news for you Tim! I think you have contracted a following!
This is so great and so funny and so wholesome. Just what I need in my life right now! This community is pretty awesome.
Wow, you (and all contributers) sure outdid yourself this time! Fantastic!

i'd like an alpaca.. and it was fun "climbing" my tiny mountain...

@@TheTimTraveller ahhh... a cuteness-explosion... now i have to explain to the cat, that i want an alpaca...
Tim you are a good chap to do such a great job for everyones submissions
Aww man! I wish I could've heard of this sooner! My city is where all of the postcards for the Golden Gate Bridge are taken (surprisingly, that isn't San Francisco), so it has some truly spectacular views. I might still go for the hell of it anyways. Tilden Park is absolutely beautiful.
This was brilliant! Honestly, I would've loved to join this challenge. There's a little hill full of gently swaying trees overlooking the window of my room that is just begging to be conquered. Unfortunately, I'm swamped at work and barely have enough time to sleep. Anyway, thanks for the videos, Tim. I thoroughly enjoyed all the submissions and the "awardees." Cheers!
Awwwww Tim you really are a ray of happiness
kudos to everyone that took part, and to Tim for all the work for this great video
It was fun taking part, and nice getting outside. Even if it was just my backyard. I posted it on Insta topless, so mines probably didn't make the video.
This is absolutely beautiful
Anything above sea level I call a mountain, but then I am Dutch.
Proud of my fellow 'Groningers' to have won such a significant award.
This is simply brilliant!
I'd like an alpaca but I've got nowhere to keep it, although my wife would like its fleece for knitting...
So fun and wholesome video. Thank you all!
The accent of the first contestant felt quite finnish. Where the heck would a Finnish go to 'climb' a hill if the highest point of the country belongs to a mountain in the neighboring country :D thanks for the challenge and thanks to yt for suggesting this channel.
Oh and btw "I'd like an alpaca" ;)
Wahoo, honoured you squeezed in a couple of seconds of my mediocrity twice! Well done on what must've been a fairly lengthy edit, and congrats to the very worthy winners!!
Well deserved, your video was really good! Sorry I couldn't fit more of it in, but hopefully you'll get some views from being on the playlist
Wow the production quality went from fun travel videos to professional awards show really quick!
Have to vote for me fellow janner, glad to see someone could represent the mediocrity of Woolwell so well!
No problem my luver...
I had to vote for Matthias. To find an actual mediocre high point in Switzerland is truly impressive. I live in California's central valley, literally surrounded by mountains, so I can understand the challenge he faced.
I keep coming back to this video whenever I need a pick me up. It feels very 2009 RUclips for me in a beautiful way ❤
Best video i've seen in ages. Cheers.
I’m out of quarantine, ‘Rona free and ready for my alpaca now please Tim. Also, last night I summited my couch! The view was magnificent. The ants that had invaded in my absence really looked like ants from up there.
Congratulations on your climb and apologies for the delay in delivering your alpaca ruclips.net/video/FSKZ4IowkYU/видео.html
OMG! Well done everyone well done Tim that truley was amazing very entertaining.
Vicky deserves the win just for climbing up the highest hill in her area in high heels. Now that's dedication.
Love it, Tim! What a great idea, and great participation from your fans and fans of mediocrity everywhere.
Very nicely done... loving this one!
3:25 GRONINGEN !
Where is it? Does not look like Kardingeberg, but what else can it be? It was just a little to far for me to get to.
8:56 Martin & Martin. Congratulations!
Look up their video. It is actually Kardingerbult.
You've almost motivated me to go film a climb of the Lacey Mountains in Ocean County NJ USA. Almost. If you decide to make this a semi-annual event I will definitely climb them.
Utter joy. Love that so many people so amazing. X
Had us in tears 😂 Top work everyone!

Well that was moderately interesting and slightly fascinating (in a mediocre sort of way). This could be the one unique enterprise in which Sturgeon's Law actually favours the competitors.
