Huge fan! I had only had Sheaffers until 1987 when my dear friend bought me a white Safari with a black clip and a black M nib. Then last year I inherited a chrome CP 1 and 2 Accents. I got both LX this year, and the Dark Lilac which is my favorite with the cursive nib.
Love this pen. It’s looks so much better in person. I have it inked with Pelikan 4001 Brilliant Brown. It’s so close to the actual color of the pen. Nice review.
Australian Roses is an ink I really enjoy. It requires some patience due to slow dry time. Have not tried English Roses but intend to get a sample. Thank you for your videos.
Looks like a nice pen. I’ve been sort of chauvinistic for piston and eye dropper pens. A cartridge converter is a piston fill device, though. I may need to look at an Al Star.
How does this extra fine compare with Pilot extra fine? I have a Lamy Nexx extra fine and it really writes more like a medium, which is too bad because the pen itself is nicely made, but I don’t like writing with it.
I would say they are very different. The Lamy would be closer to a fine or even a medium. Japanese fines are very fine. My Sailor has a hard fine nib and it's like a needle.
Don't have the the bronze. I do have the Al Star in an electric blue, and a gun metal color. Lamy is currently my favorite pens. Just got a gorgeous stainless steel Studio in a broad nib. Writes like ice on ice 🧊.

I really appreciate your videos. I am also a big Lamy fan [Lamy 2000, Safari, Studio, AL Star, Vista, etc].
Thank you!

It's a good carry pen.

Thanks! I’ll stick to Pilot. But I’ve also had good luck with Faber-Castell extra fines points
